Jennie Kim 4 years ago
@Kim Wonshik Coming around and standing fully next to the towering male, Jennie felt unintimidated, in fact rather at peace. It was weird to say, probably just the mood and his presence, but the shorter felt both relaxed as she felt safe, which was pretty strange and rare for a city as gruesome and Seoul. The ceramic gal nodded in understanding. You didn't need art school to be good at art. She laced her fingers together behind her back, watching over the chalky woman like a guardian, but without anxiety. Too tired for that. "Mmm, I did have a playlist going," Jennie turned and walked over to her phone attached to a speaker, opening it up with her fingerprint and starting the next calming guitar playlist on Youtube, turning it down a little so it was more background noise than all consuming, coming back over to the male

She heard him speak gently again, after a calm G chord intro that sounded like the sun rising, introducing himself by first name. Jennie tilted her head up to him and smiled warmly, feeling welcomed by the trust move. "I'm Jennie," she held out her now clean hand to him for a friendly, informal shake, trying to build the bridge before turning her attention back to her clay woman. "Mmm...I hope this isn't too personal," she began, as she stepped away from him and wet her hands in her muddy water bucket, before grabbing a ball of wet clay and stepping up onto the platform. "But what is your greatest ambition in life?" She looked over to Wonshik caringly. "like does being in Seoul help at all with your dreams, or future goals? Or is it more of a transition period for something else?" Jennie squatted down and smooshed and stretched out the clay like it was taffy, working out the kinks as she carefully observed her support point of the dress to the platform. She wanted it to be thick enough, and could create a bundle look onto the woman's lower back.

@Jennie Kim Wonshik stayed in his position as the female walked closer, his eyes being the only body part moving; rolling to the side as he watched her approach him. "No, I didn't." He simply said, not caring to give an explanation as to why he hadn't. He quickly followed with his second answer: "I come here every now and then," Wonshik pulled his eyes up to the statue once more, not getting enough of the sight. There was a short silence between them and the elder let his mind wander back to the music he had been writing earlier, "it's quiet here." he then added, his voice gentler this time as his words seemed to flow slower. He rolled his weight to the back of his feet, standing on his heels for a few seconds.

"I'm Wonshik, by the way." He then finally introduced himself, not thinking twice about giving his real name. There was not a single cell in his brain that thought this girl was going to be related to anything even slightly remoted to gang businesses. She looked way too kind and pure to be involved in any of that.

@Kim Wonshik Jennie noticed the man push the clay dust from his shoes. She had opened the windows, but couldn’t help the excess that wanted to touch everything clean that entered the room. ‘He must be soulfully devoted to the sound arts’ she thought to herself as she watched his posture and relax stance. He was impressed, but he would be okay without joining the clay fun. It made a small smile warm her face, as she looked back at the model’s dress for accuracy.

“Yes, still have a lot of work, It I’m grateful the base is complete and she’s floating.” Jennie stood back up straight and came over next to the male. “What about you? How often do you come and write your music here? Did you attend the art university of Soeul?”
Kim Wonshik [SH] 4 years ago
@Jennie Kim "So this is one of those rare days," Wonshik spoke, more to himself than to the female. He bend his upper body forward as the female squatted down to talk about the base of the artwork, keeping his fingers jabbed in his pockets. He hummed low in his throat, indicating he was listening. The sculpture was balancing pretty well that it looked like a small breeze could break its poise. He wouldn't dare to touch it, scared the draft model would fall apart.

While in this bend over position, Wonshik suddenly took notice of how dusty his shoes had become by walking in this powdered room and he lifted his feet one by one, sweeping his long fingers across the black boot to clean them. "Seems easier said than done, no?" Wonshik uttered while cleansing his Dr. Martens. "You still have a lot of work to do on this model?" He wondered, putting his foot back down once he was done to return to his fully straight stance, arms crossed over his chest this time.

@Kim Wonshik Jennie worked diligently to scrub her arms off with warm water and soap. She heard his footsteps stay in the background, indicating he was not moving to the door to try and escape her presence, or the dry clay stench of the room. Once Jennie felt she had cleaned her lower arms and hands enough, she splashed handfuls of water to her face, aiming for her nose. She was able to get off some streaks that appeared on her cheeks too as she wiped her face and hands off with the studio’s paper towels, turning around as the male inquired how often she came. She let out a small laugh, as she found it funny how he was talking to her, but his eyes never left her artwork. It was like flirting with someone while looking at another, even though Jennie was very sure this man was not attempting advanced of the relational kind, just some chit chat.

“I wish. My occupation is pretty hectic, so days where I get to be here for hours on end are rare. I went to the local art school for 4 years here, though.” She pushed herself off from the counter and stood opposite of where the stranger was to see the moisture condition of the sculpture’s bearings, squatting down to check the base of the toes which touched the platform and the back of the women’s knee length dress that flowed down just a bit and ruffled into a small pile on the platform. That was the most important part for holding the model up, but it had to look effortless, so it took a hot while to get that sorted and then work around it. “there are different volumes to mass ratio’s of clay. Took a lot of scaling and measuring to get the affect,” she commented, observing the male’s face.

@Jennie Kim Wonshik glanced towards the female as she started cleaning the sink and gave her a silent nod. He had this strong urge to his fingers over the drafted female body, but withheld himself, not wanting to unnecessarily ruin anything. He took a step back and dug his fingers into the pockets of his leather pants. "You come here often?" Wonshik whirled around the studio slowly and aimlessly, eyes still on the sculpture. He wondered how she kept it balanced on such little support and how heavy it should be; a life-sized model wasn't made from a 10KG pack of clay. Or would she have used clay as an exterior layer?

Jennie was right; Wonshik was a man of few words, but somehow he kept asking questions. It wasn't often that he met someone who was into art. Let alone, be this good. He wanted to get to know the lady. Wonshik ran a few fingers through his hair, pushing his evenly split bangs backward, only to have them fall back into place again in front of his forehead. His posture was straight, only his head was ducked a little low, so he'd be able to look at the piece of art from a different angle.

@Kim Wonshik Jennie was expecting the piano man to place the bucket down right away, but his body was fixed on her very rough draft of a sculpture. It was close though to being able to let it sit and harden for the next week while the brunette fell back into the grind of secretary work. Jennie blinked and smiled warmly as the male suddenly complimented her work, which was powerful the more because he seemed to be the type of few words. “Awe, thank you.” She clapped her hands against her dusty overalls as she trailed farther back from the other while he looked closely at her figureine. “Ah, no,” she shook her messy bun upon his question of it being for school. “It’s just a project for me,” she rested one hand on her arm as she waited for the stranger to completely circle around. She chuckled. “I took a few years of art school, so I hope so.” She turned then and walked back over to the back wall sink, beginning to clear out the clay gunk from the drain, putting it in the garbage can and then started scrapping off the clay on her hands and arms with hot water and soap. She was worried her nose was going to bleed again and she needed to get moisture up in it, but first she would have to wash her arms off. “You can stay as long as you want, maybe get inspiration for your next song” she called back to him, looking over her shoulder as he was still staring at her piece.

@Jennie Kim The thick smell of clay penetrated Wonshik's nostrils as the female opened the door, the odor strong and stuffy as he breathed through his nose. The male entered the dusty room first and his gaze immediately fell upon the sculpture. It was hard to look next to. Wonshik's first reaction was awe, the elegance of a female figure making him speechless. As he walked closer towards the piece of art, the dark-haired male inspected the realistic aspect of the forged woman. Little details in a human body were important, but the artist seemed to know very well what she was doing. "It's beautiful." Wonshik blurted out, slowly bending his upper body down to put the bucket on the ground, right next to the sculpture, all the while keeping his eyes glued to the three-dimensional model. "Is this a school project or something?" he then asked, assuming the female was young enough to still go to school. Wonshik stepped to his side, circling the woman in clay once until he stood next to the creator of this piece of art. "You're good." His nods were small but meaningful, amazed by the sight in front of him.
Jennie Kim 4 years ago
@Kim Wonshik Jennie was sure that would be the end of the artist interaction, but she heard strong footsteps come up from behind, and his slender but well sculpted arms bush over hers as he came and helped carry the bucket. Jennie’s cheeks warmed just a bit from the gesture, now able to smell and see his flawless features more closely. The charcoal smoke smell, creamy gently tan completion that went with his dark orbs and straight bangs. She felt his breath on the top of her head as he spoke, almost like a hug, and watched as she was able to loosen and release her arms so he could carry the bucket.

She turned and opened up the well used doorknob, pulling it back and holding it so the male could step inside first. “Thank you, you can just put it on the ground wherever” she told him. And there was her sculpture. It was still in a bit of drafting, but it had the outline of a woman, leaning in mid air as if she were laying on a cloud, reaching upward to the ceiling with on elongated arm and hand in quiet desperation. Jennie had been working so hard to make her float with minimal support structures, hence why her body burned and ached trying to get the motion correct with the structural needs. It was indeed life size though.
Kim Wonshik [SH] 4 years ago
@Jennie Kim The overalls the female was wearing made her appearance look quite small. And Wonshik had to admit that when she squatted down to knead her clay, she looked quite adorable with that big bun on her head and dusty cheeks that she didn't seem to be aware of. "Art is never how you want it to be," the male spoke in a deep voice, almost seeming like he quoted someone, one corner of his lips quirking upwards as the female pounded into the wet clay in front of her.

After she lifted up the bucket with a lot of effort, Wonshik was about to start playing a few notes on the keyboard. But just as he was about to turn his head away, he caught the female struggling with the door. Without much hesitation the male stood up once more, his slender but muscular body moving quickly to aid before the bucket had a chance to topple out of the female's hold. Wonshik shoved a hand underneath the bucket and held it up, the muscles in his arm clenching and clearly visible underneath the thin layer of clothes he wore. With his second hand he held onto the side, avoiding any water from spilling out by keeping it steady. Despite his neutral face, Wonshik still wondered why cley weigh so much and whether this girl carried something as heavy as this every day.

"You can open the door now." The raven-haired male said, not yet noticing how close he had put himself to her. Their shoes were barely a few millimeters apart and if he recalled correctly, their arms had brushed up against each other as he had reached out towards the bucket. Their height difference suddenly alerting Wonshik and he took a step back, picking the bucket out from between the female and the wall so he could hold it better. Even with the slight distance now, the latter still towered over the younger female.
Jennie Kim 4 years ago
@Kim Wonshik The female then understood why his voice had a y rasp to it- the smoke that hazed the air around him and his inked paper. Jennie didn't judge it, in fact in reminded her that as a reward she could probably get a hit break in the evening. It incited her style more though. Dark stranger, expressing himself through forms of art, eyes that held a ocean of secrets. Bad boy with poet hands. The calm but very intrigued brunette watched as the male stood, exposing his full height, the broadness of his shoulders and slimness in his figure as she casually made his way to the keyboard, turning his back to his and arranging himself. It made Jennie's lips part as she didn't understand how a man could move with just grace and meaning in his steps. One of those breathtaking notes only artist's eyes understand the value of.

The connection breaking, Jennie realized the water had been on a little long and she quickly turned the sink off, dumping some of it out from the bucket before picking up and huffing the grey mass to the ground, starting to mash up the dried pieces with her bare hands in attempts to save and moisturize the material. She squatted over the bucket, working her arm muscles again as she really had to dig in there and crunch it up with her knuckles. She looked up at the male spoke to her once again, light sweat dotting her hairline. "Oh, just the most stubborn clay sculpture I've ever made on this planet." she laughed, letting out her frustration on the clay in front of her, pounding the softer areas a couple of times to encourage molding with the dryer pieces. She sighed and shook her messy bun in dismay, a couple stray hairs falling in front of her eyes while she looked down at the slowly globbing mess. It was here in the fatigued stage, she remembered late that she didn't have to mush clay right there on the music studio floor, especially with someone else working.

"Thank you for the sink use." she stood up and bowed polietly once more, straining to hoist up the even heavier clay bucket into both her arms, before waddling to the door and finding a way to get the knob open with resting all the weight of the bucket on her right arm, making it tremble a bit, to quickly supporting it with two and waddling out the door. "Also, cool you do concerts! Good luck with your work!" her fatigued brain also forgot to comment on his initiative to be solo without a label, and Jennie sighed in dismay of herself, trying to push open the clay door with her foot but realizing she also closed her door. She pressed the heavy bucket to the wall and tried catching her breathe, pressing her entire upper body against it as she shook out her arms and prepared to grab the doorknob quickly.
