@✦ Ten [ took me forever but whew ]

“Is this why the old man always leaves you at home?”, asked Seungyoun as he leaned against the door frame with eyes dully following Cruella’s busy figure. It had been almost two hours yet his mother still couldn’t pick the right outfit for tonight’s meeting. What’s the big deal anyways.

“Child please, I’m doing this for your sake. I don’t want you to grow old without any friends”, was what she said but in all honesty, he didn’t need one and was not interested in making one as well. The only reason why he agreed to go was because it would just be a waste of his time and energy to fight against Cruella. Nobody wants to mess with the crazy lady afterall.

They finally arrived at the destination after thirty minutes of traffic and more of Cruella’s nagging about how Seungyoun needed to be more social. Let's get over with this fast. He muttered to himself quietly as they walked into the tavern and his mother didn't even spare a glance at him, heading straight to give the Constantine dude a hug before they both moved to another vacant table.

“Seungyoun.” He introduced himself with a curt bow of his head while taking the seat across from the boy. “You wanna sneak out? They won’t even notice that we’re gone”. There was a mischievous glint in his eyes as he flashes the other a cheeky smile. It reeked of alcohol and he really wanted to get the out of this place. Plus, who knows this can be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

@✦ Ten “I guess you have been informed well then,” Daehyun said, clearly amused, while he looked at the man in front of him. It wasn’t a lie, people should better stay away from him if they preferred their life unbothered and safe. Because no one was honestly really safe with Daehyun around. He was always ready to cause havoc and destroy whatever good was around him. And the thing people often forgot was that he was doing this consciously. He knew what he was doing and it was on purpose because he enjoyed it. Soft cuddles and cute dates were not for him.

“I think you look interesting. So I think there is more to get to know about you,” Daehyun grinned and looked at the other, head slightly tilted. He hated when people tried to decide for him what to do so if course here was, nudging more into Ten and now definitely not letting him go. No, now he not only wanted to get to know him but also needed. And he would. And on the way probably hurt the guy in front of him but what was a life without a little hurt and pain, right?

A satisfied smile was seen on Daehyun’s pretty lips as Ten agreed and he took a small sip from his drink. That was the answer he had wanted to hear. He put his elbows on the table and supported his face with his hands for a long moment before he hummed. “See, it’s always definitely good to get to meet me. I keep your life interesting.” Which definitely not a lie, he surely would keep Ten’s life full of chaos.

Then he held his hand out to the other, definitely going touch him. He knew it would help bonding the other to him even more, especially when he really was interested in him. “So, let’s make it official: it’s nice to meet you, Ten. I’m Daehyun.” He grinned at the other and leaned forward a bit. Oh he would definitely not be good for the other and he already loved it.

“So, why are you here? Did it have a reason or just some time spending out and with people?” Daehyun had to admit he had had a hard time finding the other. He was good with getting access to places he wasn’t supposed to have access to, for example Ten's apartment, but he was definitely not here to scare the other away. Not yet at least.

@✦ Daehyun One of the things John Constantine is best known for is his chain smoking. He knows it’s bad for his health, yet he does it anyway. He’s well aware of the risk of lung cancer and impending death the practice would bring, yet he continues with it, uncaring of the dangerous consequence.

Ten wouldn’t say he’s like his father on that matter. He hates when others smoke, let alone trying it for himself. However, instead of the bad habit, the son adopted his sire’s suicidal tendency when he has clear knowledge of the cons that comes with whatever he’s doing.

In other words — his utter infatuation over Jung Daehyun.

He /knows/ the other is nothing but trouble; he /knows/ nothing good will come out from being around the man. It’s the reason why he never approached Daehyun to begin with. Yet, by whatever force from above, he was utterly head-over-heels for the other, and he didn’t even know /how/ it began.

Ten sometimes catches himself thinking about Daehyun, and it is so totally ridiculous, he’s even confused by the fact. He would glance at the other whenever he’s around, before quickly looking away and chastising himself for even noticing. It is silly how occupied his mind is with Daehyun sometimes, that it /does/ worry him on why this was happening.

However, he thought he would be just fine as long as he kept his distance. Daehyun is nothing but trouble, and the best way to avoid it is to not come close to it. As long as he’s not near Daehyun, he should be fine, right?

Fate loves laughing in his face, it seems.

Ten looked like a deer caught in headlights when the devil himself sat across from him, a charming smile on his face that sent his heart to his throat. He’s flabbergasted by how his conscience could easily betray him like this, getting flustered at seeing the man of his affection opposite of him. He willed himself to calm down and schooled his face to a neutral expression, offering a slight smile.

“I know who you are,” confirmed Ten with a nod. “Enough to know I shouldn’t be near you.” The pout looked dangerously cute, and Ten almost slapped himself at the thought. He raised a brow as he chuckled in disbelief. “Know me more? There’s nothing to know about me. Just another human living life to the fullest.”

Ten should leave. He should stand up right now and walk away. Yet, he’s glued to his seat, and he wasn’t sure why. Red alarms were going off in his head, yet even as his rationality told him to refuse the offer, his conflicted feelings said otherwise. “Sure, I guess why not?” He gave a shrug, throwing caution out the window splendidly. “The night is young, I have nothing better to do anyway.”

@✦ Ten It was very hard to keep rumours away from Daehyun so it was the same with this one. A certain young male was interested in him and while Daehyun had clearly seen the looks the male had given him, he had not expected to be of interest to that guy. But life liked to surprise.

So here Daehyun was, ordering a drink he had figured out the guy liked before he made his way towards the spot the guy was sitting. He remembered his friends calling him Ten but it was easy to guess that the guy had a different full name, something Daehyun would sooner or later clearly figure out. Sitting across from him, a beautiful smirk was seen on his full lips as he pushed the glass over to the young male.

“So, I have heard you like me,” Daehyun said straightforward, leaning a little closer. “Makes me figure you know who I am while I barely know anything about you.” He tilted his head a bit, an almost-pout on his lip. “All I know is you are being called Ten and people seem to find you interesting so I have come to get to know you more.”

Something someone should clearly be careful with. Careful with getting closer to Daehyun. People knew how unpredictable he was, how dangerous and how little he kept the rules set by anybody. And barely anyone was able to keep him in his place, make him stop toying with others. It was just a handful of people who knew how to deal with him. Daehyun was almost sure Ten did not know anything about him, sadly. Daehyun knew he looked handsome and people found him interesting as he was chaotic but fun to be around. But knowing the real him? Barely anyone knew.

“So, nice to meet you, Ten. I’m Daehyun and I just bought you a drink. Would you like to be my company for tonight?”

@✦ Seungyoun Constantine was obviously not the best at raising children. Last time Ten checked, he was still underaged to enter a tavern. Yet, here he was, with his father who needed to meet up with an old friend and decided to bring him along.

“Her name is Cruella,” explained the man. “She has a son around your age. I think it would be nice if you could become friends with him. You know, be a social butterfly and actually connect with people?”

Easier said than done, mister. Good thing the tavern owner had nice drinks aside from bad tasting alcohol to serve. Ten would probably flip out if he’s forced to sit around and do nothing while waiting for this Cruella woman and her son.

“They’re taking their time,” mused Ten absentmindedly as he sipped on his tenth cup of sprite. It’s probably not the healthiest way of passing the time, but at least it helped in keeping him occupied. He could think of other ways to use his time, all of which were probably terrible ideas.

“Patience, little one.” The pet name caused a disgruntled grunt to leave Ten, resulting in an amused chuckle on his father’s part. “They’ll be here soon.” A hum from Ten, half-hearted, as he laid his head on the table. “Hopefully soon then, I’m basically losing my mind here.”
