༄ SHOTDRUM dorm

Irene silently cheered with everyone when Wonpil blew the candles, and made his wish. She was happy that she gets to witness this moment, with all the members. While she wasn't exactly a member of the group, she felt at home enough with everyone. She was grateful to be included in this family- the family she was supposed to take care of. Which reminds her--
She went to work automatically readying the take out, plates and utensils. So everyone could eat immediately.

Wonpil knew he probably looked like a sniffling mess but the lights were off and it was just the glow of the candles so he didn’t particularly mind. He loved his band mates a lot, and little things like this meant the absolute world to him, so as he leaned over to blow out the candles, he wished that Shotdrum could continue to be a family like this forever. He was giggling a little as he blew out the candles, rubbing at his eyes, yet grinning anyway.

Yeosang let Wonpil hug him before moving to Woosung's side, gently placing his hands under the cake as well and laughing softly. "So it doesn't fall, hyung!" He singsonged gently, tilting his head to the side and holding up the cake to Wonpil.

seonghwa was in f e a r when woosung carried the cake towards them. anyone.... anyone but woosung should be carrying the cake.

“Cos we were counting on you, duh-“ Woosung laughs, slightly breathless after practically screeching the song at the top of his lungs. “Okay hurry hurry hyung, blow out the candles, or else the wax will drip onto the cake!” He urges, shuffling forward with the cake balanced precariously in his hands, candles lit. “And don’t forget to make a wish-!”

Irene could hear the members singing the Happy Birthday Song already. She grinned at how ridiculous they sound, despite being actually a renowned group.
"Pfft." She leaned at the door, her free hand covering as she stifled a laugh. She opened the door. Carying a bag of birthday dinner for wonpil.
"I can't believe you all started without food. Happy Birthday Wonpil!"

"Aish, it's not that. I just think you guys take plenty good care of me anyway." He explained, still feeling rather sheepish as he hugged Yeosang back just as tightly. It was nice to celebrate with those closest to him, especially when he couldn't see his family on it. As the lights shut off, Wonpil couldn't help that soft laughter tumbling from his lips while Seonghwa boisterously say Happy Birthday. Perhaps missing his family during his birthday wasn't that bad after all. He had another family right here in Shotdrum to make him feel just as special.

Oh, Yeosang wouldn't have to tell him that twice. Seonghwa scurried over to the light switch to flip it, clearing his throat before he began to sing at the top of his lungs, pouncing towards Wonpil and Yeosang, wrapping his arms around the both of them tightly.

Yeosang laughed softly and slid his arms around Wonpil's waist in a tight hug, holding the elder male close and reaching up to pat his head. "Happy birthday, Wonpil-hyung. I can't believe you thought we weren't gonna take care of you today, but I'm glad you know now. Now, somebody turn off the lights so we can sing."

"Oh- I wasn't expecting a celebration," he admitted with a sheepish smile, scratching at the back of his head before his eyes grew a little misty with gratitude for his band members and their stylist, "I wasn't gonna make a big deal out of it. You guys had a katalk chat? And here I thought you all were ignoring me today on purpose!" His teasing came out in the bit of a whine as he rubbed at his eyes to rid them of any moisture.

His jaw dropped a little at Wonpil's words. "Of course we're celebrating something! Did you forget about your own birthday?" He tilted his head to the side a little, then he flashed him a small smile before looking at Yeosang a little helplessly. "We were talking about it in a katalk chat, we tried so hard to make sure you don't see it before now, and now it turns out you were absolutely clueless? You could've seen it and still not known at all, huh? All this effort!" He laughed out light-heatedly. "Happy birthday, hyung."

Yeosang sighed softly before approaching Wonpil, reaching out to rub his back with a raised eyebrow and an amused smile. "Hyung...it's your birthday today. What else would we be celebrating?"

The oldest paused his search for the fridge to look at the cake that was on the counter. He was convinced a confused expression would be permanently etched onto face as he tried to process the dessert. "But we should have good food first....When did you have time to get a cake today? And candles? Are we celebrating something?" Wonpil asked, standing up straight to inspect the cake further.

"Mh, let's get our guest some food", he agreed, and he scurried into the kitchen right after the other, gesturing for Yeosang to come along. "Hyung, there should be some... uh, something we could have on the counter", he muttered. Was Wonpil blind or something?

Wonpil stared at Seonghwa for a moment, his own brows furrowed in confusion to mirror his bandmate's. The expression only deepened at the younger's response, because he was /just/ in the kitchen, and he was supposed to have a fitting. Now was not the time for a snack...his stomach was saying otherwise, though, as it grumbled at the thought of food. He had mentioned being hungry earlier. "I'm older than you...and it's rude for a guest to make food. We should be making you food." He pouted, yet still moved to walk back to the kitchen, wondering if there were still leftovers from the night before in there.

Yeosang blinked in surprise before shrugging once, motioning to the kitchen for the others before resting his arm on Seonghwa's with a small smile. "I can make us something? Come on Wonpil, we can wait a little bit longer, you're all growing boys!"

Seonghwa got a little excited when Wonpil left to go to the kitchen, and he flashed Yeosang a wide grin, eyes sparkling with excitement - he clasped his hands together, now he'd see the cake they'd prepared for him! Or- maybe... he didn't. Because there was no reaction, and Wonpil really came back with a glass. His smile dropped, and the confusion written on his face was quite obvious. He cleared his throat. "Want a snack?", he asked, trying to get everyone to the kitchen again.

“Mkay, I’ll grab that water and be right back.” The keyboardist agree easily enough, placated by the fitting being quick so there was the slightest skip to his step as he headed to the kitchen. He took his time filling a glass from the pitcher that filtered the tap water, and returned to the main room to offer the glass to Yeosang. “I suppose I have to take my clothes off now.” He pouted a little bit, the dorm temperature a little too cold for his liking.

"You'll just have to put the outfit on, I made some adjustments." Yeosang reassured him with a smile, placing his sewing kit on the table as if he was going to set it up. "Hyung, you're so sweet to me. Water would be lovely, thank you."

“You’re welcome!” He perked up, happy to be of help. His attention wandered to the other two band members, though, as their hushed whispering caught his attention. His brow furrowed a bit in confusion before he shrugged it off as just them being weird again. “Ah- do you need water? I can get you a glass from the kitchen. What exactly do I need to do for the fitting?” He asked, still not really fond of having to be a clothing guinea pig for the night, his eyes heavy from wanting to nap, but he was one of the more responsible of Shotdrum so he’d do what he needed to.

"These are perfect, thank you hyung!" Yeosang grinned widely as he took the scissors, looking at Seonghwa again before letting out a gentle cough. "Oh dear, I think I forgot my water bottle at home. Best to do this quickly, then, if you're ready Wonpil?"

"But it's not as fun, and I can't ruin it acccidentally can I?" He retorts, wiggling his eyebrows for good measure. "Can't have it ruined before it actually happens, yanno?" The vocalist reasons, face comically dead serious as he continues to whisper conspiratorially. "Also, I can't trust you given the 18348985 other times you always leave the important things last, so, I had to check-"

his gaze goes to the male beside him once he feels a hit against his ribs come from that direction, a soft sigh escaping him. "you could have just tapped my shoulder or something instead, you know.." he mumbles back to the other, before letting out a soft laugh at his words. "...wow, could you have came up with any more sus way to say that- anyways. if we're thinking about the same thing, yeah. i wouldn't put that to the last minute." sunwoo whispers his words back, before deciding to lightly punch the other in the shoulder because why not.

With everyone else filing out, he slips outside too, noticing that their brooding maknae has finally decided to join everyone in the living room. Plopping on to the couch next to him, he attempted to play it casual away from Wonpil’s wandering eye, jabbing Sunwoo in the ribs softly before whispering. “Do you have it? The goods.”

sunwoo had been pent-up in his room for way too long. he had been working on things and then sleeping when he finally got tired, and repeating this loop more times than he could count. he just woke up from a power nap when he finally checks his phone, noticing the date and reading the katalk notifications he was getting. he peeks out of his room's door, eying where everyone was before rushing to the bathroom to adjust everything and look presentable. once he's finally satisfied does he enter the living room, plopping down on a free couch without a word- like usual.

His expression faltered a little bit at the idea of having to leave his cocoon, but he offered a small smile and nodded slightly. “Ah, a fitting, okay. Let me check to see if I have an scissors. I’ll be right back.” He spoke quietly, turning on his heel to return to his room while he abandoned his switch on the couch. They could always play Animal Crossing later, he silently reassured himself while he he searched through his desk drawers for a pair of scissors. A triumphant noise fell from his lips once he found what he was looking for, and he soon shuffled back to the living room. “I hope these work okay for you.”

"I've been busy, myself." Yeosang hummed softly, grabbing his sewing kit and the clothing bag in one hand and using his other hand to rest gently on Seonghwa's shoulder for a moment before letting go. "You don't have to address me formally when we're in here, you know. It'll only take a moment, I have some other things to attend to and I needed to get this fitted. Do you have any extra scissors, Wonpil-hyung?"

Seonghwa nodded lightly. "Sounds like a plan. Couldn't wait 'til tomorrow, hm?", he mused out silently, "I'm good, I'm good, just busy, as always, how about you? You haven't been working all day until now, have you now?"

The keyboardist only pouted a little more when Seonghwa got up to lead the way to the living room. With a quick look around the room, the oldest snatched the softest thing he could find and drug his blanket with him, ready to play animal crossing. He paused when he caught sight of their stylist, nose scrunching in confusion because wasn’t it late? “Yeosang-sshi, isn’t it late?”
