the strawberry fields are the camps main source of income though other fruits and vegetables are grown in patches further into the long island sound. most of the year round campers will work the fields during 'off season' to earn their keep while staying at camp half-blood.
@m. lalisa For someone that was merely invited, she sure was impatient. The child of Poseidon was getting under Hoseok's skin with her demands, thus making him audibly his teeth in response. "No, I think I will move as slow as a snail." Typically, Hoseok was kind about things and certainly patient with the attitudes of others, but with it being the dead of the night, he developed an attitude himself. And although he attended the camp, Hoseok still went to his regular part-time at Mcdonalds. Today had been one of those particularly frustrating days, hence why he needed this drink.
"Two it is. A glass for you and the rest for me," Hoseok gave the other a brilliant smile before running off to the cabin. He only slowed as he got to the door, slipping inside without a sound. For a child of Hephaestus, he could be rather stealthy and quiet, something that wasn't exactly a trait of his godly parent. Hoseok just always knew how to be a sneak at times, something he got from his mother.
It only took a few minutes before Hoseok was out the door with two bottles in hand. He looked both ways to make sure the coast was clear before jogging towards Lisa, an arm draping around her shoulders to push her along and away from the cabin as quickly as possible. "So, where do you think is a good place to drink these bad boys? Maybe the forest? Would offer to sneak you into my cabin room, but some of those kids can be real nosey."
@j. hoseok Though his snarky reaction would have otherwise earned an equally unpleasant response and roll of her eyes, she remained silent, save for the small, "touché" she voices in defeat. Not only was she far too exhausted to argue, he had a point. After all, he welcomed her company, and she was the one who selfishly took the opportunity. With a nod of compliance, she folds her arms across her chest, trailing closely behind him as he led them away from the strawberry fields and into the cabin that supposedly stored their desired drink.
"Alright, you better make it quick." She quips, brows marred behind a wispy set of stygian bangs. It's clear that she wasn't one for stirring trouble, not with her position in the camp. Though she has spent countless times venturing off on her own out of camp without notifying others, she hardly counted that as a misdemeanor. She never really received punishment for it either.
But to steal from a God, regardless of how insignificant the item is? She can't say she has done that many times, if at all. She wonders if the camp director would allocate a punishment. That is, if he were to ever find out. "Just get a bottle. Or two. I can't finish one for sure, but whatever. Just go!"
@m. lalisa The male’s eyes rolled in response to what may have been the other’s look of disappointment. Her following words showed just that. “I never told you that I was going to be getting it before we met up. I merely let you know where you could meet me.” Besides, he needed someone to be on the lookout for others that may be walking about. What was he to do if he were seen? It was better to have another set of eyes. “Come on then, I suggested here because I couldn’t think of anywhere else to meet anyway.” A smile formed on his face as he made his way in the direction of where Doinysus kept his wine.
“I will do all the work, all you need to do is be my second pair of eyes.” It was not like this was the first time he had done such a task. His first year at the camp, Hoseok had been quite the trouble--maker and often found himself sneaking into the Dionysus cabin to get a hold of the alcohol.
Within minutes, the found themselves outside the cabin, hidden behind a cart of supplies that were for some reason not put away. “Okay, so I should be no more than five minutes. How much are you thinking of?” Did they just want to drink to the point of getting a little buzzed or was she trying to be out of it? Either way, Hoseok didn’t care, but as soon as he received an answer, he went off.
@j. hoseok The rendezvous with the son of Hephaestus is impromptu at best, and though she would prefer to retreat to the comfort of her own bed after a long day of training, the promise of wine has her marching towards the strawberry fields without a second thought. And gleefully at that.
Can you blame her? After the countless, tedious days of training campers in the same routine, alcohol appeared to be the best remedy. A break in pattern; an indulgence at most, no matter how ty the wine may actually be. Her gait is calm yet quick as she traipses through the big house, arena, and forge, before arriving at the saccharine fields in a few minutes' time.
"Well, you did say wine," she quipped with a tight-lipped smile, head tilting to the side as she eyed his figure, evidently lacking the bottle he promised. The girl raises a brow, eyes meeting his. “But you seem to be empty-handed.”
@m. lalisa After confirming with the child of Poseidon that they would indeed meet to scavenge for wine, Hoseok waved at the mirage, hoping that nobody had heard his conversation. He really needed to get himself an iris phone so that he could discreetly message people compared to having to pull up this mirage.
He snuck out of the cabin, looking around to make sure there were no staff nor head counselors around. Sure, he told Lisa he wouldn’t get in trouble, but he wasn’t certain how true that would be. Once he arrived at the fields, he waited for her, taking in the sweet scent of the strawberries. “You came faster than I had expected,” he commented when he saw Lisa approaching.
