"So today was kind of a bummer, I dunno what the tartarus was happening but hopefully tomorrow will be better. Stay position my dudes, it was an off day for everyone."
jeongguk sighed as he slid his iris phone into the little alcove above his bed, ready to settle in for the night. it was unnervingly quiet. usually you could hear other cabins being rowdy if they were throwing a party or something, or you could even hear the nymphs and satyrs rendevousing across the lawn(and they say romance is dead) but tonight.. nothing. not even the cicadas chirped.
It’d been a slow day, nobody could seem to put their heart into anything. The combat arena was empty for the first time for years(the last time this had happened, the camp was fighting against Gaea and her forces alongside their brethren from Camp Jupiter), campers sat on the lawn yet did not seem to want to interact with each other, the atmosphere was depressing and heavy wherever you went. Even the Apollo kids, who are known for their chronic happiness, just couldn’t seem to find the energy to smile.
Even chiron, who had tried to make a morale boosting announcement at dinner, had seemed affected. mr d was moodier than usual.
jeongguk sighed as he rolled over and closed his eyes, slipping into a dreamless sleep.

the world flipped upside down.
jeongguk found himself scrambling out of bed, hand to his mouth as vomit threatened to spill onto the floor. his head reeled from dizziness, he was deaf to anything but the droning ring in his ears, was this the end? cause it ing felt like.
but as quick as they'd come, the ailments stopped. jeongguk carefully uncurled himself from the floor, grunting as the headache intensified.
", lali, yu.." had they also felt that weirdness? or was it just him?
Lisa and Yuqi were ok when he checked in on them, though they said that they'd felt the same thing. he made sure that they were ok, sitting with both of them in case it happened again but when it did not, they agreed to go back to bed. "Somethings definitely up.." guk muttered, mussing his hair. but that was a problem for the morning, 3 am was not a good time for big brain moments(though it was good for something else ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ). Jeongguk slipped back into bed, closing his eyes and settling in to fall back asleep.

the next morning was pure. ing. chaos.
guk woke up to the sounds of shouting and the harsh clang of metal against metal. he left the cabin after pulling on a dirty hoodie and sweatpants, following the crowd of campers down to the beach.
a group of young adults, much like themselves, stood on the beach wearing purple t shirts and holding golden weaponry. nobody said anything but it was clear that there'd been a fight. jeongguk, noticing that nobody else doing anything, stepped forward, ignoring minghao's hand on his wrist. there was something about this group that made the hair on his arms stand up, a deep hatred towards the strangers that shocked him.
"who are you?"
"i'm Hazel, praetor of the twelfth legion. who are you?" a girl with curly hair stepped forward, her honey gold eyes burning with suspicion. she had the aura of a leader and was the only one wearing a purple cape.
"this is camp halfblood" jeongguk opted not to give his name just yet, wanting to test the waters "you guys have to be demigods or else you wouldn't get past the border but this is the only place in america for demigods. what's the twelfth legion?"
"you're Graecus, aren't you?"
"Gesundheit"
"it means greek, . are you greeks?"
"Yeah"
"I knew it" Hazel stepped back, the demigods around her drawing their weapons again. "We are children of rome and we want to know why you've brought us to you."
wait, hold up.
"... there are roman demigods?"

after a rather terrible day, the campers of chb are ready to go to bed and start a fresh new day. but not is as easy as it seems as the camp is suddenly hit with a bout of illness(nausea, vertigo, headaches and ringing in the ears). confused, but too tired to deal with, the campers decide to forget about it and deal with whatever had happened in the morning.
waking up the next morning brings a surprise as the demigods come face to face with a group claiming they are roman demigods from camp jupiter; another demigod camp base. chiron, to the surprise of both groups, seems unphased to see these strangers on the shoreline however reveals that the two camps have met and fought together before; he seems troubled by the revelation that both camps seem to have forgotten about each other.
hostilities are rising and relations between the greeks and romans are tense as they try to figure out why they are here. any attempt to leave is met with with misfortune so it seems that the romans are here to stay.
can the two groups overcome their eons old rivalry and figure out why they have been affected with memory loss? or will they fall into their old ways and start a new demigod civil war.
