Born from a heavily shamed marriage between a Terran and Thalassan, the girl grew up hidden from the wold and its hurtful words. She works at the aquarium as an animal caretaker cause animals don't care where the heck you from, and one day she hopes to venture out and visit Galini.

Wants to venture out into the world and escape the grasp of her protective parents (they won't let her go even though she's a whole adult). However, she doesn't know the first rule in rebelling and keeps her adventurous side to herself. Hesitant around other individuals and has only shown her true side of spunkiness to the animals she takes care of.

Born into poverty, the girl had a rough childhood which led her to steal for survival. Her nimble fingers allowed her to become a skilled treasure hunter who scavenges underwater ruins and sells her finds to both the black markets under and above the water.

From a very young age she realized it was every man for himself which caused her to shut herself off emotionally from the rest of the world. No one can remember the last time the hunter cracked a smile. Straightforward, sneaky, hardworking.

A guard for the main underwater temple in Galini. Has a family tree full of temple guards and attains great pride in his role as a guardian.

Dependable. Very giving to his community. Strong, but soft.

After falling in love with a Terran this young woman engaged in a secret relationship with them. When her family found out she was immediately banished from the underwater colony and forced to live among the Terrans (could be chased out of the water by family, unable to live on her own outside the city, etc.). Knowing her nemi would crumble and she'd be unable to return to the ocean the Thalassan became selectively mute, and no longer has their lover to be with as they have either disappeared or died. They live alone near the ocean now, the closest they can be to home, without saying a word.

Having always had a fascination for the moon, stars and space in general this particular Terran dreams of being an astronaut. However, living all the way out in Paradisi meant they didn't have the opportunity for such a thing. After studying up on astronaut training they decided to make use of their smarts and built themselves a suit to live underwater, a way to train their body to get used to zero gravity.

For several months now this Terran has lived under the sea in a remote, abandoned Thalassan site. They have also built a home there to live that receives air from the surface. Sometimes they takes walks in the Thalassan city in their fancy, high-tech suit.

The younger sibling to the character above. Couldn't care less about the polluting of the ocean. It's not like they live in it anyway, so "who cares about the Thalassans? Not me!" Their parents' company is supposed to be handed to their older sibling, but this character wants to take over the business and will do anything to get their hands on power.

Power hungry, oblivious / uncaring of other people's emotions, selfish, cold to most individuals (probably because they were never their parents' favorite).

Has a sort of shop / "strange things" museum on the docks, where it's really just filled with fake statues, cheap jewelry, weird animal skeletons, etc. (think like the Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls). This Terran uses their shop as a tourist trap where they con newcomers into buying things that have no actual value after hiking up the prices.

• Occupation: Shop Manager.

For years this character was quite adventurous and very friendly, until one day they got a horrible burn almost all over their body. They didn't know where this came from, and after it faded they finally were able to leave the house - only for it to happen again. Thalassan doctors were finally able to pinpoint the cause after months of testing - the sun. If the Thalassan went too close to the surface while the sun was out they would have an allergic reaction, giving them intense, itchy burns wherever their skin was uncovered. As such, the Thalassan now tends to remain indoors during the day, only coming out at night when the moon is up.

All their life, this character was forced to live in silence by their own parents who feared that the seawitch would go after their child as promised all those years ago. They'd always told this character that s/he was special and when they finally told this character the truth, that their voice was special, the character found themselves desperate and frustration for justice, not wanting to be subjected to silence for the rest of their lives so off they ventured onto land, hoping to find an answer, a clue to how they could break this curse over them.

This character is the reincarnation of the seawitch who went after keyword "silence" character. They were born mute and after desperately searching for a way to get out of this silent life they were living, they finally discovered an old spellbook that would lead them to discovering the Thalassan. Like their previous life, they would find themselves in a position where they would go after the Thalassan's voice. They blindly believed in the spellbook's promises of giving them a voice, even if it meant sacrificing another's.

Perhaps it's because of the harshness of their past, or just their desire to earn more money, but this character has turned against their fellow kin, and is known around the black market as the only one that sells Thalassans off to Terrans mostly, but sometimes Thalassans buy from them as well. No one really knows why they do this or even their face, but they're a prominent name among the illegal community.
