@hoseok “Sure, sure, if you think that all this is my fault. I should have just killed you and everything would be solved for me.” The way he said her name was amusing to her as he had no real idea that this was her real name. He must know that it could have just been one of her many pseudonyms. “What?” She was confused why he didn’t get what she talked about. Was he that stupid?

His monologue pissed her off so much that she wanted to slice open his throat right there in the cafe in front of everyone’s eyes. Who the hell did he think he was speaking to her in such a manner? “You are such a nuisance. I did this for you, to have your saved from any other people being after you. The hospital bills are your issue to deal with, I stitched you up just fine.” She huffed in annoyance. “Your poor mother has a hard time with a son like you either way.”

It was amusing for her as Hoseok talked about getting rid of her. She had been the one who wanted to get rid of him in the first place. If only her secret code hadn’t stopped her from it. However, it was holy to her and she wouldn’t go back on her words. Even someone like her had values that she didn’t break. She rolled her eyes at what he called ‘slasher schedule’ but kept listening to what he wanted as a favour from her. “A family trip? Won’t that be quite uncomfortable for you when you bring your murderer /fiancée/?” Somehow it didn’t even sound like something that she owed him, something that would cause her lots of trouble. Andy had never been on a trip before in her life as vacations didn’t exist in her business. “Fine, I’ll go on that trip with you, /honey/.” With these words she got up from her seat and left the cafe before she had to deal with him any second longer.

She was the type to be on time as timing was one of the most important things in her business life. Not being there on time to kill someone could turn into quite the hassle. Her hand was wrapped around her small, silver suitcase that she had prepared for the trip. It was the first time that she ever used it since buying it. She decided to wait inside the lobby sending a text message to Hoseok that she was there. It didn’t take long and he stepped inside the lobby too.

“Good morning.” Andy said cheerfully just to piss him off even more than he must have already been. She followed him to his car and jumped in on the passenger seat. “You don’t mind if I choose the music, right?” She didn’t even wait for an answer as she connected her phone with the car to play one of her Spotify playlists. This was way better than talking, he would only snap at her and she wanted to drown that with the music.

@b andy Oh, he hated her with such a passion. Ever since the bull that Rose..., Andy had pulled in the hospital, Hoseok’s mother decided to text him everyday to ask him how she was. No matter how many times Hoseok had been indignant on the fact that, no, Andy was not his girlfriend nor fiance, so he had zero idea as to how she was doing, Mrs. Jung refused to believe him.. He hadn’t even messaged her since he had come home from the hospital due to not caring to update her and being severely annoyed by her little prank. He blamed this on why he would potentially /never/ get a girlfriend at this rate, as if he were even looking in the first place. He just wanted someone else to blame that was not himself.

Though, Hoseok had many reasons to be frustrated with Andy and her decision to claim that she was his fiance, the next thing was the top of the cake. His mother called him regarding a trip that his family took every year since he was a kid. Of course, over the years, their place of stay became more comfortable with his being able to provide as well. Each year, they would go to the mountains, typically in the summer, to do things like hike, camp and swimming in the nearby lakes. These trips always made Hoseok feel his most relaxed. But that would change with his mother’s request. To bring Andy.

And if he didn’t, he wouldn’t hear the end of it.

Thus, he found himself at the cafe, only agreeing to meet with her to bring up this one thing. Honestly, Hoseok had no idea why she wanted to see him, other than to be a pain in his . He hated seeing that smug look on her face each time she was present. “It’ll only drag on long if you allow it /Andy/,” he said with an emphasis on her name. Was she Andy? Was she Rose? Even if she were Rose, he had to get used to calling her Andy for the sake of not getting in trouble with his mother. “My problem? You told my mother you /weren’t/ my fiance then?”His brows shot up in annoyance. He knew exactly what problem she spoke of, but as far as he was concerned, he didn’t have a problem with a hit on his head.

“Let me get something straight with you,” Hoseok’s voice dropped as he too leaned in to make sure others couldn’t hear. “You did that on your own accord, first off. So I don’t owe you regarding something that was saving /your/ from getting in trouble. Secondly, you owe me a whole lot more than that. Sure you prevented my lights from going out, but you cost me a ton in hospital bills. And you still stabbed me. Lastly, you got me into deep ing with my mother. And I am getting sick and tired of hearing how bad of a son I am for not telling her about my /nonexistent/ fiance.” Hoseok leaned back again, now that he was finished discussing the illegal matters. His arms crossed tight against his chest, his sneakered foot tapping as he tried to best phrase his next thing.

“As far as I am concerned, as long as you drag out your lie to my mother, I can’t get rid of you. And I would much prefer to be away from you and have that be that. So, next week. Clear out whatever stupid slasher schedule you had. I am being forced to bring you on my family’s trip to the mountains. I am only indulging my mother’s harassment regarding this because I am not trying to look like an in her eyes, and I want you to convince her yourself that I am not engaged to you.” Hoseok stood up rather quickly, looking at his phone for the time. “Just do this one thing and leave me alone. I’ll see you at my place at eight in the morning on Monday. If you don’t show, I will find you and drag you there myself.”

@j hoseok He didn’t strike her as the type to have a girlfriend. Which woman wanted to be with a man who might end up ing her once she breaks up? Of course, he left that gang but that didn’t mean anything. “Wouldn’t she sit here by your side?” She retorted. His words were stupid and she ignored what he said the best she could. the fun out of everything? It was quite fun to the life out of someone’s body. Andy grinned. More so about her own thoughts than his face but that didn’t matter.

“Hm.” She hummed. “Maybe I’ll take care of you once all petals are dry.” While roses were some sign of love between lovers, the thorns of the roses probably fit more to her slicing bodies open. One could never know what was beneath a pretty appearance. “Am I some sort of welfare now?” She snorted. He was right though, her job gave her quite a stable financial basis. It was mainly also the reason for her not working outside the gang. Why force herself to do something when she was well-off already? Sadly, she hadn’t found any real passion yet aside from her job which was most probably due to her not doing much else since they started training at the age of eight. There had just never been time for her to question anything.

Andy ignored the dark flicker of his eyes that Hoseok threw at her. She could have easily eased the situation for the male, why would she though? Playing along was much more fun and as she hadn’t gotten her fun yet with killing him, it almost seemed far to mess with him this way instead. “I can’t believe that you didn’t tell your mother.” His mother seemed to be a kind woman even with the way her actions and words seemed slightly exaggerated. Andy watched the whole scene as if it was some reality show taking place right in front of her eyes. Hoseok’s mom didn’t believe him and it amused her how frustrated he was over that matter. Once his mother didn’t look, being too busy calling him her little-boy and checking on his body, Andy blew an air-kiss into Hoseok’s direction, a smug expression gracing her face. She hid it right before the mother turned into her direction again.

“I’m really sorry but I have to leave for work right now. It was lovely meeting you, Mrs. Jung! I hope that Hoseok will properly introduce me once he’s out of the hospital.”

****

She had hunted him down, the life out of his body with a stab to his heart. Adrenaline had rushed through her, the long-awaited sensation that she hadn’t had due to Hoseok knowing of her code word and saving himself. At least, killing this man would now set her free from the favour that she owed him. It was the exact reason why she had messaged him to meet her at the cafe in town. Somehow it had surprised her that after the incident at the hospital he had actually agreed to meet her. Either way, it was good this way, she’d be off her debt and they could both simply leave each other alone.

The man already sat at one of the tables of the cafe. Andy ordered something to drink before joining him. “Good job, you made it here. “ She said as she sat down on the chair opposite to his. “Let’s not drag this on for long.” Andy leaned in closer to whisper as she, obviously, didn’t want anyone to hear what she was about to say next. “I got rid of your problem, the one getting you into that situation with me. We are square now. I repaid the favour.”

@b andy “As a matter-of-fact I was. Maybe I have a girlfriend that wants to visit me, hm?” It was a lie, Hoseok was in no kind of relationship, and Rose probably already caught onto it. His home didn’t have the touch of a woman and with his messaging her instead, it possibly showed just how alone he often was. A girlfriend would be in the hospital sitting with him the moment he went in, or noticed before the week was up that he had a wound that should have resulted in him being in the hospital. “And no, you ain’t exciting at all. You seem like the type of person that the fun out of everything.” The bedridden male made a face as if to emphasize on how fun-less she was. Or at least how little fun she saw her. She killed people for God’s sake. Nothing fun about that!

“Yeah, yeah, thanks for giving me a whole bouquet. Guess that means that I am alive for now.” He played with the petals of one of the roses, absentmindedly rubbing the velvety texture between his fingers. Why did she give him that pass anyway? Was it really stating her name that made Rose not kill him? She could have easily gone back on her promise to him, plus, all he did was prevent her from being ed. There was no bigger picture...or was there? Is it possible that she had done something that would place her on the list of Aureo Rosa? “Pretty sure you make more money than I can currently imagine with your job. Maybe you should be the one giving me money instead.” He knew that she wasn’t being serious, but even if she were, then she would have been tracked for it. He didn’t believe she was that stupid either way.

“Yes, my mom.” Hoseok waited for the girl to tell him exactly what she told the front desk. He and Rose looked nothing like family, so if she had dared to say that she was his sibling, then the secretary at the lobby must be blind and stupid. Of course, he did not have to wait long, as his mother came barging in hollering about his supposed engagement. “Wait. What?” Immediately his dark eyes flickered to Rose, shooting her such an intense glare. God he was ed, so ed.

His eyebrows rose at the new name, “Andy?” He asked with a confused tone. Did she give an alias up front, didn’t they check her I.D? The security in this place was such . “It is such a pleasure to meet you, Andy. If only my son told me he had a /girlfriend/ let alone was planning on getting /married/.” Mrs. Jung said with a snippy tone, her dark eyes, much like her son’s, bore holes through his head. “Why are you giving your fiance that look? Are you upset that I found out?! My only son doesn’t even trust me to know he’s getting MARRIED,” her voice shook as she took a hold of Rose-Andy’s hands. “Was he not sure a beautiful girl like you would say yes? Oh, I know how nervous he gets with girls.”

Hoseok groaned from his place on the bed, wanting more than anything to turn to his side, away from the both of them. “I don’t even have a girlfriend, Mom. This girl is just annoying and following me around like a stalker. Of course, I would tell you if I were dating!” His face turned red from being frustrated over the matter, his hands slapping against the bed. His statement only resulted in Mrs. Jung giving him another dirty look and going on about how he was such a disrespectful soon-to-husband and how bad she felt for poor Andy. “Oh my God,” the man moaned in despair, his eyes going back to the boring T.V. “I thought you came here because I got put into the hospital, not to yell at me over some girl I don’t even know.”

At that statement, well, the beginning part, Mrs. Jung rushed to her son, patting him down, suddenly going into hysterics over remembering why she came. “Do you hurt darling? Oh, my little boy!” At this Hoseok sighed, wincing at the way his mother manhandled his sore body. Maybe it was better for her to continue to yell at him.

‘I hate you,’ he mouthed at Andy, trying his best to avoid his mother’s affections.

@j hoseok “Easy target?” She scoffed. “Oh boy, you really shouldn’t underestimate someone like me. Didn’t my tattoos warn you not to play with me? A shy, young girl would have never gotten those.” She hated people underestimating her just because she was a woman, or even just a girl in some people’s eyes. Andy had worked hard to get the respect that she deserved and she wouldn’t have anyone with that, especially not a pimp from Aureo Rosa.

****

“You expected someone else? Too bad.” She commented. “Excited for no reason? Ain’t I exciting?” Andy rolled her eyes as she sat down, placing her feet on the edge of his bed. “You only assume the worst of me, don’t you?” She hadn’t even thought about him talking mostly because she was sure that he wouldn’t dare risk his life. By now he should have known that Andy wasn’t the type of woman to with. He should have learned that years ago when trying to turn her into a e. Now it was already the second mark that she left on him, there wouldn’t be a third warning, only one that ended deadly.

Andy smirked as he commented about the roses. “It’s my trademark. I would have left petals on you too that night if I could have finished my job.” It wasn’t something that she should have told him but even with that information there was nothing he could do about it. The news had broadcasted about the rose killer before but the police had been way too stupid to solve the case. She loved to play with danger but there was barely any fun in it since they wouldn’t catch her anyways. Nonetheless, she made sure not to say any words connected to her job, the walls had ears and it would have been too close to a confession. “I never leave bouquets, you can feel special.”

“Was to kill you? Are you hallucinating? Why would I ever try to do that?” She smirked. As he laid back her eyes turned to look out of the window. “Good boy. You should have given me the cards, I need new shoes.” Somehow it made her wonder why he had tried so hard to look like he got mugged. No one would have cared about the details and it would have been the perfect chance to somehow still spill the truth and try to get her into jail. Was he that scared of being attacked a second time?

“Your mom? Oh, I told them---” Andy was interrupted by the door being pushed open without a knock. Suddenly there was a woman standing right in the room who looked oddly familiar to Hoseok. Was she his mother? “Jung Hoseok, why didn’t you tell me that you are engaged?!” Andy took her feet from the edge of the bed, she straightened her position right as the woman’s gaze hit her. “Wait, is this her?” She asked eyeing Andy strangely. “Hello, Mrs. Jung.” She got up from her chair and bowed lightly. This was going to be fun. “What did they say was your name? Xiao Andy?” Andy nodded. She had used her correct first name but changed her last. One of the many fakes that she had.

“Yes, I’m your son’s fiancée. Didn’t he tell you about us? I can’t believe it, Hoseok.” She scolded him barely able to hide the grin that wanted to play along her lips, though she managed to.

@b andy Hoseok had no explanation regarding /why/ the guy was stupid enough to offer his legal name. Maybe if Hoseok had been on the same idiocy level as him, he would understand. “Maybe he just figured it wouldn’t matter. Why would it, if I am dead? But other than that, I have zero explanation regarding something like that. He had always been a bit...um...slow.”

Her joke did make him laugh, though, the action caused his stomach muscles to clench, making pain flare in the area. The smile fell quickly, the pain apparent on his features. “Possibly. He was a scouter before I was and never did move up in his rankings. You wouldn’t like that either right? Maybe he thought I was showing off or something.” Other than that, Hoseok had no idea why he would be targeted. And even-so, it was the stupidest and most petty reason a person would want something so terrible.

He couldn’t imagine how horrible his parents would have felt if their only child was murdered.

“Well, yeah. At the time, I had just turned eighteen and thought that, since you were smaller than me, you were an easy target. Honestly though, that was an enlightening experience for me. Taught me to not underestimate someone so small.” After that day, Hoseok had always been a bit more careful around the women, making sure that they were not someone to be trifled with. Of course, he also should have seen it, she did have a more aggressive personality. However, she was one of the first people that he tried to scout.

Hoseok snorted when she returned the bag to him, watching as she went to the door. He figured she would say something along those lines. But understanding how serious she was about her job, Hoseok highly doubted that her name was Rose.

****

It was boring in the hospital. There was nothing to do but sit there and stare at either his phone or the TV with ty channels. Even their wi-fi service absolute and his phone’s data wasn’t working as well as he would like. He could read things and send messages, but that got boring real quick. Hoseok didn’t have too many friends who were readily available to speak to. Even his mother was a bit flaky when it came to sending texts. She was concerned about his being in the hospital, but she still had to work. She should be out soon enough and he hoped she brought him something fun to do...or even have some juicy gossip to tell him. His mother /always/ had juicy gossip.

He was fiddling around with the IV, contemplating if he should try and get up to use the bathroom or not when he heard the door to his room open. “Hey mo-” His words cut short when he took in the tattooed girl that graced him with her presence. “Oh it’s you. Got excited for no reason.” If it had been his mother, she would have been the promise of some possibly delicious snacks.

“What are you doing here? Came to make sure I’m not talking?” Hoseok resumed fiddling with the IV clasp. He was told to not get up without a nurse, but that was highly embarrassing for him, especially with Rose right there. “Oh, thank you?” The flowers were surprising, though they did make him snicker when he saw just what kind they were. “Is this a way for you to want me to think about you even when you leave or something? The wound was enough to do so.”

He took the flowers from her, inspecting them carefully. “Who knew that someone that was to kill me is concerned about my life. No, I wasn’t going to die though. I am too stubborn for that, and I can’t take the idea of how hurt my mom and dad would be.” The flowers were placed onto his lap as he looked her dead in the eye. “I am fine, just a minor inconvenience to have to be sitting here. And if you’re wondering, I told them I couldn’t see my attackers face. I also got rid of my wallet and cards to make my claims more believable.” Hoseok laid back in his pillows, finally deciding against using the restroom.

“I thought only family members could come to a patient’s room. Did you say you were my sister or something? The front desk will be confused if they make mention to it when my mom arrives."

@j hoseok Her eyes sparkled as Hoseok commented about how he rather wanted to die. “I can still finish that job.” She commented with an evil grin stuck to her lips. Though it wasn’t the best idea to kill him in his apartment when the guy in the lobby had seen them enter the building together. Nonetheless, she knew that the male wasn’t serious and also only joked herself. Her eyes pierced through his as he seemed to examine her. She didn’t like being scared at and was glad as the male moved from the mirror. Otherwise the shared looks would have been close to being awkward.

As the name Aureo Rosa was dropped, Andy flinched lightly just at the thought of the boss of the gang and her past with him. “Why would he be so dumb and give his real name?” She asked, seriously confused by how someone could be such an idiot. “Could be, or maybe you were a head that annoyed him so much that he wants to see you dead.” She commented. Her eyes rolled at his not wanting to be touched by her. Idiot. She couldn’t say much about it, Andy freaked out at touches herself and this man had all reasons to be scared of her getting close to him. “He will die then, I’ll take care of him” Andy said as the male revealed who her client was. She had tried to push all these memories about Aureo Rosa far back into her mind. It was also the reason for not recognizing Hoseok from back then. “Your own fault for trying to lay your hands on me. Do I look like some weak, scared woman to you?” She scoffed.

"Be a doll yourself, honey." Andy said as she didn’t take the bag from him. She wasn’t his housemaid. “You know my name already.” She said with a wink before turning around and leaving the apartment.

****

The days went by without any major incidents. There was no mission for her which had Andy rather bored. She didn’t like the quietness when there was nothing to do. It were those times when she remembered that she should really get herself a job in the normal world to not faint from boredom. However, nothing had ever caught her interested as much as being an assassin. At least she could use the quiet time for training but slicing the throat of a puppet open just wasn’t as much fun.

Andy was surprised as a text message reached her some days later. One from Hoseok who she had texted with very shortly after leaving because she had been that bored. A few days at the hospital? God, that sounded really ing bad. Had the cut been that deep? Or was it because the stitching wasn’t as sanitary even with disinfecting the needle with her lighter? ‘You owe me’, his words replayed in her head and had her groan in frustration. She felt obligated to check on him even though she really didn’t want to get close to any public institution. They would catch her easily if he accused her. In the end, she decided to go either way. Andy didn’t reply the text message since she decided to go the same day. Wouldn’t be a surprise otherwise.

Once she reached the hospital, Andy took a deep breath still thinking about leaving again and spending her day differently. There was no need for her to care, right? However, her code was sacred to her so she decided to stick to her promise until she would have returned the favour. The receptionist told her the room number after she had left her name, a fake one obviously. The hospital had a flower store, a smug grin appeared on her lips as she saw the red roses there deciding to buy them as a joke.

As she reached found the right room, she knocked on the door. Once she heard him tell her to come in, she did hiding her face behind the bouquet of roses. “Missed me?” She asked once she reached the bed and revealed her face. “For you.” Andy placed the roses on his lap and then sat down on the chair next to the bed. “How bad is it?” That moment had her realize once more that she was at fault for him being stuck her, for another scar being left on his body. “I’m glad you didn’t die.” She said being serious for once and radiating that through her gaze. Andy actually felt sorry, even though she couldn’t really tell why.

@b andy Hoseok’s dark eyes glared through the mirror. “It needs to be changed, it had blood on it.” Why would she even care anyways? She had been the one to inflict the damage onto him anyway. He took in a deep breath, which was a mistake, the stitches seemed to tug at him in a painful and disgusting manner, making him want to vomit once more. Instead he hissed in pain, his hand hovering over the wound. “I think I’d rather die right now. It’d be less painful and less of a nuisance.” Finally he turned to look at her fully. He had only ever seen this woman in dark settings, whether at night or in a club where her face was not as easy to see. She was pretty, and if it weren’t for her tattoos and pierced lip, Hoseok never would have thought that she was a killer.

“That’s not a fake name. I know him. The ing idiot would give his real name. Don’t know why he’d want me dead though...Maybe because I was able to leave Aureo Rosa with no repercussions.” Hoseok moved from the mirror, partially limping so that he would not have the painful tugging with each step that he took. He didn’t realize until now how connected his stomach was to his legs. it hurt so much. “No, I am fine. I’d rather you not touch me more than you need to right now. I hope you understand.” He grabbed a small plastic bag and paper towels, coming back to the couch to painstakingly clean up his vomit. “Now that I think about it, Hyunsik was the same guy that nearly got you in to be sold as a e last time. Think he drugged your drink or something to get you to that extent. Seeing as to how when I tried my first time meeting you, you tried to kill me.” Hoseok had such horrid luck every time it came to this woman.

“You a genie or something? Can you miraculously unstab me? No? Then I have nothing to ask for. I do not contemplate what others can do for me anyways, not when I can do things myself.” Hoseok handed the bag full of his bile to the other, a smile formed onto his face. “Would you be a doll and toss this out?” At the moment, he hated her. She had nothing to gain but money for killing him and that bothered him extremely. “Then leave please.” Hoseok climbed back onto the couch and stared her dead in the eye. “Of course, I need your name before you do though. Don’t ask why.”

****

Days had gone by and like Andy had told him before, Hoseok did not go to the hospital. Not for the pain nor for the infection that obviously started to form. What was he to say to the doctors when he arrived? “Hi yeah so some girl stabbed me and told me not to go to the hospital otherwise she’d kill me.” That didn’t sound right, not in the least. However, once a little over a week passed since the attack, Hoseok started to get nervous.

The flesh around the wound started to smell terrible despite his doing his best to keep it clean. He was starting to break into sweats, a fever burning his skin, causing him to constantly feel nauseous. Yet, through it, he still refused to go, that is until the other told him to just go.

It was a pain getting there. Through the sweats, fatigue and pain, Hoseok didn’t trust himself to drive without getting into an accident. The bus was his safest route, despite the turns and the glares for the weird smell coming from him. He should have just called an ambulance, but he was being an idiot through it all.

“Hi, so I got mugged and stabbed the other day. And like I am, um, scared of hospitals. But um, I think it's infected.” Hoseok said weakly to the staff person at the front desk. He was asked the much needed questions and was told to wait to be brought in. Maybe if it weren’t for his passing out in his chair, he would have waited hours to be seen, as the personnel thought that with his walking in himself he would be fine. However, the exertion of his body caused him to be overcome with exhaustion.

A few blood transfusions and a few surgeries to properly stitch him up (even organs were bruised, which was a cause for concern), Hoseok was left in his room alone with his phone.

@j hoseok Her mind was wrapped up in a dream, one that had her relive the event’s from the last night which seemed surreal with the way that they danced around in head. A man lay beneath her, an endless amount of rose petals surrounding them, the ones that she left behind on the corpses of those that she had killed. However, this man was alive, squirmed beneath her. Rose Blossom. An endless repetition of her code word resounded in her head. A nudge against her body broke the connection to her dream. Andy woke up from her slumber only seconds later.

The bright daylight streaming into the room was too intense for her eyes to open, she blinked a few times as she tried to adjust to it. The position she found herself in was weird, her back hurt from the way that she had been curled up against the couch. For a moment she forgot just where she was and with who. However, as a voice appeared in the background, the events of the last night returned to her mind fading into what she remembered from her dream.

Once she was fully awake, Andy got up from the curled up position to properly sit on the couch. She rubbed her eyes and then stared at the man. “You should have kept the patch on the wound.” She said. The wound didn’t look well even though she had tried to sterilize everything. “It will heal, don’t worry. Though, it will leave a scar but that’s better than dying, right?” She almost grinned at her own comment. Andy wasn’t the type to feel about this had it been nothing but her job. The man had been supposed to die, it wasn’t her fault that he had had an ace up his sleeve.

For a moment she tried to remember the name that the receptionist had told her. Usually it were fake ones anyways but it was none of her business anyways. “Kim Hyunsik. Do you know him? It’s most probably a fake name though.” She got up from the couch and walked towards where the man stood. Her eyes fell onto the wound to now closer examine it even though she just looked at the reflection of the mirror like he did. “Do you want me to disinfect it and put a new patch onto it? You need to be careful so that it doesn’t get infected.”

Her eyes stared at his through the mirror. Memories from back then replayed in her head, those that she had wanted to bury deep down in her mind. Andy didn’t want to be reminded about aureo rosa, it was way too painful for her. “So, I gave you my code. You can ask me for one favour. What do you want?”

@b andy In the darkness, Hoseok felt a burning sensation. It was as if fire was going through him, as it he was being stabbed with millions of needles. , it hurt so much, it hurt. It hurt. It hurt. These words were keeping him from going insane, allowing him to hold onto a sheer bit of hope that it would end soon.

He grunted through his unconsciousness, twitching in response to the assassin’s stitching him up. If he were awake, he may have vomited from not only the sight, but also from the pain. If he were conscious, he would have thought ‘thank God’. It seemed like hours before the pain finally subsided to a dull one, as if someone was gently needing a healing flesh wound. Possibly he was imagining such reliefs.

***

The next morning, Hoseok awoke with a start. He had dreamt that he was being brutally murdered. In the nightmare, despite how hard he fought, the killer would always get the best of him. This dream played constantly, showing different ways in which the killer could murder him. But each time, one thing stayed the same, no matter what. Each time, the murderer’s weapon was driven into his stomach, angled to puncture his organs. He had finally woken up when the assassin’s new weapon was merely her hand, long nails digging into his body.

He wretched at the pain in his side, acid coming up and splattering the floor. It was mixed with blood. “God, how much did I drink?” He croaked. He didn’t even remember going out for drinks the night before. He had such a raging headache and his stomach hurt in an unimaginable way. He could only conclude one thing. That he was severely hungover.

For a second he believed that...but much to his horror, the killer from his dream was curled up on his couch, by his feet. “...not a dream?” He carefully got up, being careful to not step in his own bile, and to not make his wound worse. It was shotty, but he remembered up until he was halfway home. Hoseok remembered the woman helping him home /after/ trying to kill him.

“Hey you, wake up,” he said with a nudge before moving to the wall mirror, inspecting the disgusting looking wound. Why was he even shirtless too? “Who hired you?” Through the mirror, he could see the woman start to awaken from her slumber.

@j hoseok Her body froze as the man beneath her dropped the name of the gang that Andy had tried to completely forget about since nine years by now. She had suffered too much of a trauma from her interactions with that gang and Andy tried to stay away as far as possible from them. Had this man saved her from the gang in some sort of way? Her memories were blurry as she had tried everything to forget about that part of her past, she just couldn’t remember even as she stared right down at his face.

Andy flinched as her hands were shoved away, she tried to hide her reaction even though it didn’t seem to be necessary, the man must have been more so focussed on his own pain. “Don’t worry, this won’t be the first wound I am taking care of.” She responded to his hiss. “Crazy ing , huh?” Andy repeated his words in a mocking tone. “You should be glad that I’m not just leaving you here. By the time someone would find you, you would have bled to death already.”

Due to watching him the last few days she knew the area of the city where his apartment was located but she hadn’t paid attention to the exact street nor the building. She nodded as he told her, luckily it wasn’t too far from their current location in the alley. God, usually she would have freaked out when someone dared to throw all these cusses at her but for some unknown reason she only grinned and found it rather amusing. “You do know that it’s not the best idea to insult someone that planned to kill you, right? My knife might still slip...” Her words were meant as teasing, something that rarely ever happened.

“What’s your apartment number?” She asked as they entered the building. After he had told her, her attention fell onto the front desk staff who eyed them strangely. Andy’s body blocked the view to the man’s ripped shirt and the wound at least. The staff person seemed to be satisfied as Andy told them about how drunk this one had gotten. A good excuse. As the man squeezed onto her shoulder, Andy flinched once more. . She wanted to slap him for it but decided not to with the state that he was already in. His comment didn’t even reach her ears as she was too focused on not freaking out due to the touch.

Suddenly his weight on her body intensified, he didn’t seem to be able to stay anymore. “Hey, wake up.” She groaned and shook him lightly but there was no reaction. , , . Andy tried her best to hold him while she searched for his keys in his pockets. Luckily, she found it rather quickly and managed to unlock the door. All the training at corvus had her be strong enough to somehow get him into his living room where she placed him on the sofa. It wasn’t the first time that she had to transport a human body, the only difference was that this one was still alive.

Not knowing where he kept his first aid kit, Andy rummaged through his apartment. She found a sewing kit and decided to use it for stitching up his wounds. A scar would be left anyways so it didn’t matter that it wasn’t sanitary in any way. She found the first aid kit in the bathroom and also took a wet cloth to clean his wounds with. He looked awful, laying on the couch passed out, blood over his mouth, arm, neck and t-shirt. Andy had ravaged his body quite a bit but it was her job after all.

Since the t-shirt was damaged already anyways, Andy ripped it into half to reveal the man’s torso. However, it wasn’t the bleeding cut that caught her attention but more so the scar that went all the way from the man’s left shoulder to his right . For a moment it had her fade out of reality as a memory played out in her head. Suddenly she knew who he was, remembered clearly how she had fought against him, her knife stabbing all the way down from his shoulder. Nonetheless, she also remember how he had saved her from that other pimp, her life would have ended that day otherwise due to her relation with the boss of aureo rosa.

“I wrecked your body quite a lot, didn’t I?” She voiced more as a statement to herself rather than the passed out man. It had her feel guilty ever so lightly, she had never intended to hurt the ones who she owed something, she had given him her code word for a reason. Andy sighed to herself as she cleaned the wounds with the wet cloth going back to the bathroom two times as it was soaked in blood at some point. The cuts on his arm and throat didn’t look as bad and two big patches were enough to cover them after she had disinfected the wounds. Her biggest worry was the deep cut on his torso. She definitely needed to sew it and it would end up looking like the scar that led from his shoulder to his .

Andy took out her lighter from her jeans pocket and held the needle into the flame. It still wasn’t the most sanitary tool after but it would work for now. She disinfected the wound too to have it as clean as possible before she started to stitch his skin back together. “I’m sorry...” She mumbled out of nowhere. It wasn’t her style to ever feel sorry but while he had saved her life, she had ruined his, left scars and wounds over his body, had almost killed him twice. She was an assassin, thirsted for blood, however, it was quite different when the person was connected to her in any way.

Once she was done, Andy disinfected the wound once more before putting one of those huge patches on it too. Her gaze fell on the man’s face and she suddenly remembered that his head had hit the concrete quite badly too. She checked on it but it was by far not as bad as the wound that she had needed to sew. Andy only cleaned the wound on his head and put an ointment from the first aid kit on it. This would suffice. Once she was done with treating with wounds, Andy was unsure of what to do. She couldn’t just leave him here by himself while he was passed out. Someone needed to check on him. In the end, she sat down on the free space of the sofa after covering the man with a blanket up to his shoulder. After a long while of watching him, Andy fell asleep in a half seated, half curled up position.

@b andy ‘Me? The crazy bastard?’ Hoseok thought to himself. Says the woman who came out of nowhere to attack him. And who was obviously following him around for who knows how the long. Him, crazy? All because the girl possibly did not expect him to punch her square in the face. Honestly, he hadn’t expected it either, but what did she expect him to do? Just let her stab him like a “good boy”?

The audacity that she had to /growl/ at him, be pissed that he was being loud. The ing stabbed him, and she was getting angry at him for being too loud? Hoseok wheezed, turning his head to spit out the metallic taste that continued to form in his mouth. God, he was going to probably die if he didn’t get proper treatment.

He pulled away from her prying hands, grunting from what felt like her retching his head around. With the pounding headache from his head injury and his heavy loss of blood, Hoseok was having a hard time getting his words together, with forming a sentence enough for her to understand. “Au...reo...r..Rosa.” His eyes squeezed shut, the adrenaline that left his body only brought along immense pain. He only once more was alert when she pressed against the deep wound in his pelvis. “.”

His hands shot down towards hers, shoving them away in desperation. “You better know how to sew,” he hissed in response to her claiming his not being brought to the hospital. He needed stitches, maybe even more than that. Who knew if she punctured something that would only heal with a proper procedure. “Why would I let a crazy ing like you know where I live?” He groaned out before his words became inaudible once more. Maybe it would be better to die. Less painful.

Despite his original refusal, Hoseok was brief with telling her the street name and number. She’d figure it out if she was watching him like he thought, he had only gone to and from work. The area would be familiar to her.

“Crazy stabbed me,” he mumbled. With the blood loss and the hard hit on his head, Hoseok spoke without filter (something that he typically had complete control over). He continued to say things like; “Stupid ”, “crazy ”, “stupid blood lover” and many other variations of things that were possibly incoherent until they got to his apartment building.

If the assassin was angry over his words, Hoseok couldn’t tell. His mind was elsewhere and he only paid attention when she asked for his apartment number and heard her laugh to the front desk staff about “Oh he got really drunk.” At hearing this statement, Hoseok leaned on her more, his hand clumsily squeezing her shoulder. “Mmm...gu-ing die.” His dark eyes rolled to look at her as they made their way up to the elevator and finally to his apartment.

At the door, everything went black. He had tried for far too long to stay conscious, and his body could not longer take that strain.

@j hoseok The sounds he made were just as satisfying to hear as it was to see the blood run from the cuts that she left over his body. Maybe she really was crazy for having this pull her into some sort of high. “!” Andy growled as his hand hit right onto her lips. The taste of iron filled and it made her all the more aggressive. “Daring to ing touch me, are you crazy, you bastard?!” Her preys weren’t allowed to ing fight back, to ing think that they could still win against her and would somehow get out of this alive.

The rage in her chest calmed as the man’s head hit the concrete and he spitted out blood. Just how she liked her preys to be, weak and nearly dead. A dark smirk travelled over her lips as he tried to laugh at her ‘good girl’ comment even though it only let to him coughing up more blood. “I’m taking your pain, releasing you from all your worries in life. Sounds pretty good to me.” She commented with the smug grin still stuck to her lips.

His next words had her stop abruptly, the grin vanished from her face as she stared down at him with wide eyes. How did he know her code word? She had only ever given it to three people that had saved her in some sort of way, two of which were dead to her knowledge. Nonetheless, she couldn’t remember this man beneath her, had completely forgotten about him. For a moment she considered that maybe she had only misheard the whisper but the endless repetitions showed that he knew what he talked about. As his voice echoed through the alley, Andy pressed her free hand on his mouth while the other still had the knife held to his throat. She couldn’t risk anyone who might have been around hear those words.

“Shut up, I heard you.” She growled before she removed her hand from his mouth again. Andy took the knife and wiped it clean on her leather jacket before putting it back into the pocket she had at her belt for it. “Who are you? Why did I give you my code?” Her hand moved to his jaw, turning his face lightly as she looked for any sort of clue that would make her remember him but there was nothing, maybe it was due the blood that covered the area around his mouth or mainly because their last interaction must have been years ago.

Andy examined his body, the wounds that were still bleeding. She took out a piece of fabric that she carried around in the pocket of her leather jacket and then pressed it to the wound on his throat first before trying to clean the blood from his torso. The cut there was the deepest so Andy decided to press onto it lightly for a moment. “I won’t take you to the hospital. Just because I gave you my code doesn’t mean I trust you the slightest. However, I can take you to your home and take care of your wounds there.” Andy got up from her position above him and then helped him to stand in a way that he could lean onto her. She didn’t like the man being close but it was the only way to get him out of the alley and back home somehow. Her eyes dropped to the ground and she saw the blood that was at the spot where his head had hit the concrete meaning that she would need to clean that wound too.

“Where do you live? I will take you to your place and then we’ll talk there."

@b andy He had expected the woman to pull away from his grip with ease. If she was here to attack him, she would have to know how to a man up. However, what Hoseok didn’t expect was the very cheap shot to the most sensitive area to a man. Hoseok’s grip on her loosened involuntarily as he took the blow to his groin. His eyes watered, but he stood his ground.

The woman was ruthless, she did not even hesitate to drag the blade along his skin, within seconds blood started to bead onto his arm. He knew he was ed the moment he had let go of her dainty-looking wrist. But that did not stop him from trying to fight back. Any sort of guilt that he would have typically felt for hitting a woman quickly went out the window when her blade went to slash as his chest. Out of fear, and having it be his initial reaction, Hoseok’s fist shot out, jabbing the woman
, who was trying to kill him for some odd reason, right in the mouth. Even then, the sharp blade slashed through his shirt and sliced the soft skin of his chest. He thought he was safe, at least for a second, but the assassin was quicker than he thought. "Oh ," he hissed as she drove her blade deep into his pelvis.

A loud ringing sounded in his ears when his head made contact with the concrete. Blood sputtered from his parted lips, the added force and weight causing the metal to shove even deeper into his body. 'God, I am going to ing die. This is what I get, huh?' He thought to himself, hid teeth bearing from the firey pain that ran up his torso and along his neck. 'Can't go out without a fight right?' His dark eyes pierced through the woman's, his hand lifting to grip onto her hair, wrenching her head back. It wasn't as though that would help anyways, especially when she pulled the blade out, letting the wound freely bleed. It was like he could feel everything and it made him want to vomit. Who would want him dead? She was here for a reason.

"Good girl?" He laughed, only to stop because of the blood he coughed up and her new found position for her knife. What about her was good in this moment? Deranged was more like it, but he wasn't about to say that out loud. Why risk his death becoming more painful than it already was?

His eyes went out of focus for a brief moment when his head registered her being familiar. He knew this woman and she couldn't kill him. Not now at least. The rose tattoo in her face jogged his memory about why he knew her. "R-rose blossom." It came out as a whisper and a bit gurgled at first. Thus, he repeated himself endlessly until his voice became loud enough to echo in the alley.

"You /owe/ me." He snarled, his anger about the situation finally getting the best of him. Maybe it was the loss of blood that allowed his emotions to shine through, for his gentle facade to drop completely. But how dare this woman forget about a person that saved her ing ? Little did he know that his preventing her from being forced into ion was the least of her worries at the time. Little did he know that if she was turned over to the gang he was once part of, she may have been murdered on the spot. But it was clear in her eyes that she know what he was talking about, he wasn't going crazy and that he remembered correctly. He took a deep breath, wincing in response before letting out a last, "You ing owe me."

@j hoseok It was unexpected to have her prey fight back. Everyone else had been frozen in fear, even gang members that she took down. This one seemed different, at least experienced in protecting himself the slightest. Nonetheless, it would only postpone his death by minutes, Andy wasn’t the type to leave a job unfinished. The hand in her face had her burn in rage. How could he ing dare, unbelievable. “Too ing bad.” Her voice was close to a growl as she kicked him right into his groin with her knee. A dirty move, one that she usually didn’t even need as she had more skills than this. However, she wanted the job to be over quickly and this was the easiest way.

As his hands slipped from her, Andy attacked him. The blade of the knife hit his arm first, she pulled it along his skin and left a nice, long cut. With her free hand she grabbed onto his shoulder piercing her fingers with so much strength into it that a bruise would be left there for sure. Not that it would matter in any way, he would be dead in less than minutes. The knife hit his torso next, ripping the fabric of the t-shirt before ramming the blade into his skin. God, she loved torturing her preys, especially if they thought that they would manage to get away from her.

Just cutting him wasn’t doing the job, obviously. It was time to go through with killing him, another accomplished mission for her reputation. With the knife still stuck in his skin, Andy pushed all her weight on him to have him fall backwards and crash on the ground of the alley. This, of course, led to her falling with him, however, she had enough control over her body to only crash on her knees and left hand. A few more bruises and scratches didn’t matter the slightest. Andy pinned the man down on the ground as she now, for the first time, actually looked at his face closely. He didn’t seem like the type of man anyone would want to kill but it wasn’t any of her business as to why she was supposed to get rid of him.

Andy guided the tip of the knife along his skin almost like cutting a pattern into the flesh. However, she then pressed the knife to his throat again, piercing it into the skin slowly. “Oh, I am a good girl tonight, I will let you choose. Do you want me to slash open your throat or ram the knife into your heart? Both is fun, I promise, dear.

@b andy The past couple of days the twenty-six year old had this haunting feeling. His skin prickled when he was alone, when there was an opening for the eyes he felt to look right at him. But typically, when he would take a brief look, there would be noone to be found. That is...until tonight. Was it his paranoia getting the best of him, or was the person he thought was watching him get clumsy? Each streetlight he passed, a shadow appeared, one that was not his own. Was it a coincidence?

Hoseok started to take an odd route home, one that would prove whether or not he was going crazy. It was clear that at this point, the shadows were real. However, it was not clear that this person was truly following him...well that is until their soft footsteps seemed to follow him. Even down the alleyway that he turned down. What did they want?

The question was answered rather quickly once the tip of their cold blade pressed against his throat. The hairs on the back of his neck rose in response to her voice, to the tickling against his ear from her soft breath. It took him a moment to process the whole situation before it finally registered that someone was taking a hit on him. But why? Thankfully, his time in the mafia had taught him a few tricks to relieve himself from situations such as these. It would be tricky, but the least he could do was get the blade away from his open throat.

His movements were quick, enough for her not react to them in time. It seemed she was used to others being frozen in fear, not expecting his long fingers to clamp over over her wrist, pulling her in a way to keep the blade as far from him as possible. His other hand shoved into her face, trying his best to keep her as far from him as possible. Of course, judging how she had obviously gone a few days without him figuring out that he really was being followed, this woman was no ordinary person. If he wasn't careful, he could be killed. Or possibly tortured. Who knew how this assassing worked. "I really would appreciate not dying tonight, miss."

She was like a black cat hidden in the shadows as her steps were as quiet as paws hitting the pavement beneath her shoes, inaudible. It was the third day of following him around, observing his routine since she had to figure out when striking would be best. Andy had done this job often enough to know how to hide, her slender body pressing against the closest building as the man a few steps in front of her turned around. The last two days he hadn’t noticed her but now he seemed more and more suspicious as he turned around every other street. It was time to strike soon.

The full moon above her along with the stars seemed to watch her, almost like an audience. It was a surprisingly quiet night, one in which everyone seemed to stay home in safety other than the man in front of her. Even no cars were around as the main street was far from the alleys that she found herself in now. Why did he choose this way? What did he do around here? Was it his fear? Did he try to test if the shadow followed him? Andy smirked. It added to her personal satisfaction when her prey feared the shadow, feared her.

Around the next corner, Andy decided that it was time. The alley was strait, not a single soul was around other than the two of them. With quick, still inaudible steps she got closer until she reached her prey. Andy pressed the knife that she held in her hand to the man’s throat, her cold breath hit his ear as she whispered what was supposed to be the last words he would ever hear. “Betrayal is a dangerous game. You lost, dear.” God, she loved seeing her preys squirm before she ended their life, it was her reason for choosing a knife over a gun this time. She lusted for the drips of dark red that rolled down his neck. Her movements were slow to savour the moment. Though this time, it seemed as if her prey didn’t plan to depart this life without a fight.
