@eunbin (you're absolutely fine my love! <333)

His fingers that absentmindedly began to tap against his table had ceased, a breath close to something out of relief escaping his chest. Well, at the very least, he was glad that whatever was going on wasn't horrible, yet he still knew something had to have been up. She wouldn't just call or text him without there being a reason, considering they weren't exactly close. It didn't bother him at all; he loved to help people, even if he didn't know them very well.

"Lay it on me," he hummed as a signal for her to continue talking and that he in fact does play a lot of music. Ah, so she was having the same issue as him. It was unfortunate, but it wasn't exactly uncommon in their world. "I understand what you mean. I have that same exact problem sometimes," Chan paused, giving a light chuckle as he ran a hand through his messy locks, "actually am right now."

Starting to grab his papers and folding his laptop away from his view, he held his cellphone between his shoulder and his head as he continued his thoughts on what she should do. "Well, I usually do these exercises to try and calm down the melody or get my mind set on what I'm working on. It acts almost like a wall." He zipped his backpack up and sat back in his chair for second.

"If you want, since I need to do them too, I can come to wherever you're at and show you?"

Chan has heard the horror stories of soulmate melodies ing up important moments for stars-to-be (which he often heard people refer to Eunbin as, so of course he believed it) and he wasn't going to let that be an experience for her.

@chan (H) [] hi babe! sorry for the late reply but i'm trying to get back to roleplaying more consistently :)

As the line rings on the other side, Eunbin takes a seat on the ground of the dance studio, thankful to have the room to herself for the night for her practicing. Yet even as she blasts the music through the speakers probably loud enough to be heard on the other side, the melody inside her head continues to rack through her brain, invading her senses and preventing her from even feeling the tune from the speakers.

"Uh," she sounds, stretching her legs out in front of her whilst contemplating her next reply to him. She hadn't expected for him to pick up, seeing as it's starting to get late, therefore the sound of his calm and manly voice on the other side of the line brings a relieved smile to her face. "Nothing's wrong."

Even she knows this is a lie, so she sighs. "Well, actually, there is. I kind of need your help. You play a lot of music, right?" She doesn't know much about aside from his name and this fact, so she sure hopes that she has not overstepped any boundaries. "I'm practicing for the dance recital this weekend and... I can't focus. Like... my soulmate melody is really bothering me a lot."

Whilst she speaks, she runs a hand through her dark brown tresses; if anyone's eyes were to fall upon the young woman right now, it would be clear to them that she is distressed, frustration brimming at her eyes. "I was wondering if you could uh, help me maybe figure out how to block it out?"

@eunbin (Sorry it took me so long!)

Usually, Chan absolutely dreaded the absence of sound. He much more preferred to fill his mind with beats and tracks that he made, than sit in absolute silence. But today, all he wanted was silence. This stupid soulmate melody of his was getting louder and louder as the days passed. Of course, usually one would be excited, because the melody growing louder meant you were to meet your soulmate soon. Yet, the male was so insanely busy with other tasks, meeting his soulmate was the absolute last thing he was worried about.

"This is so annoying," he muttered, burying his face deep into the palms of his hands, voice muffled as if it would help him feel even the slightest bit better.

When he gets frustrated like this, he has to take a break from whatever he's doing. At this current moment it was an essay for his literature class, one that he knew would be near impossible to finish with this song in his head. The sound of his phone vibrating against his table almost went unheard, but he managed to pry his hands off his face enough to see the name displayed on the glowing screen.

Eunbin.

Without hesitation, Chan grabbed the phone and slid his finger across the screen to answer.

"Hey! Uh," he paused, looking at the work in front of him. He could deal with it later.

"No, I'm not busy. Why, what's up? Is something wrong?"

Eunbin and Chan barely knew each other. But from what he did know, she was pretty sweet. If she was calling him, basically a stranger, about an issue she was having, something seriously must've been up. Hopefully it was nothing bad, but he couldn't help but grow nervous as he waited for her response, ready to spring into action at any moment.

@chan "Oh my god," curses Eunbin aloud in the lonely dance room, subdued by the volume of the music still blasting from the speakers. Well, it should be blasting, but in Eunbin's mind, it's not. Hand slapped over her forehead she sighs, a querulous groan leaving her roseate tiers in a fit of frustration. All she can hear, over and over and over again, is that damn melody in her head!

She's probably in the worst position, being a dancer whose grades and career literally bank upon her ability to hear the music, and though she had grown accustomed to the music in the back of her mind during performances, in the recent days, it's grown louder and louder to the point where she can barely hear the rhythm of any other song playing. She knows what it means, though she denies it—she's getting closer to meeting her soulmate. Well, whoever it is she'd sure love to meet them and be put out of her misery. But meeting her soulmate is the least of her worries right now; the female has finally coveted a hard earned solo in the university dance team's recital on Saturday, though that will all go to naught if she can't manage to block out the music in her mind.

Wait—she knows someone who might be able to help her.

Walking away from the center of the dance studio to her bag abandoned in the floor in the corner, alongside her much needed water bottle, she unsheathes her phone from it and immediately starts searching for a contact name. Chan. They're just mere acquaintances, barely friends, who she had met through a mutual friend. He's a music major; how does he block out the music in his head when he's making music? Eunbin can't even begin to fathom how irritating it must be to have two melodies in your head at the same time.

She calls him, gnawing down on her lip at the number of beeps. At this point, she's desperate to do anything to rid herself of her internal song, or at least calm it enough for the recital. "Hey, Chan? It's Eunbin... Are you busy?"
