@naeun Hoseok felt himself be pulled up and out of the ocean, unable to do anything besides play dead. He was confused as he was placed into a container of water, quite small to say the least but it didn't matter because once these humans believed he was dead they would toss him back into the ocean.

He felt someone poke his body with a hard blunt object, how annoying. Hoseok wasn't going to react but when the person poked him in his gills, that ing hurt and he snapped the pole in half, throwing it at the female captain, he smirked as the broken pole just barely grazed her cheek and yet still drew blood. "I'll do far worse if you don't let me go" he hissed and swatted at the other crew members with his sharp and long nails that were like daggers.

@wonho naeun stood on the deck with a tight expression on her face. her crewmates knew better than to bother this loose cannon today. instead, they busied themselves with the sonar. the oil smuggler they procure their ship's fuel supply from had raised the price again, this time to an absurd amount. she haggled with him for hours yesterday, playing the card of a long-time customer, but he refused to budge. demand for her services had dried up recently, and her ship's finances are running low. she was desperate to do anything to keep her ship running. after her efforts to butter the oil smuggler up, he finally let slip that a bounty of $10 million has been offered for the capture of a merman. at first, she eyed him in disbelief, thinking that he has gone mad. for a person as shrewd as him, she found it insane to believe in fairytales. the oil smuggler merely huffed and continue to watch his television. but naeun was grasping at straws. against her sane mind, she even purchased more fuel than she needed for her ship to pry his mouth open. this is how her ship, the neptune's wave, ended up sailing to find ariel. despite the blue skies, the sun stings a little today.

naeun allowed her mind to drift a little while the salty wind her tresses. suddenly, her right hand man shouted excitedly, "i think we got him!" she couldn't believe their luck. what are the chances of finding a mythical creature on the very first day? they casted a large net immediately to the bottom of the sea and trapped their target in one fell swoop. after reeling the net back to the ship, everyone held their breath at the magnificent beauty before them... except that he wasn't moving. "." naeun muttered under her breath. her crewmates lowered the net using a crane to a water-filled tank reinforced with steel cage. after that, she sent her youngest lackey to poke him gently with a pole. "hey!"

@naeun Hoseok hadn't thought anything of it when the fish near him swam away quickly, he thought it was just a whale or a shark, which both species were on good terms with the merpeople. He swam along the bottom of the ocean floor collecting items that he found interesting, items from the human world, the place he was once part of. Three months ago this changed when the facility Hoseok worked in had a chemical disaster. He was the only one to survive, but he was changed. He now had a tail instead of legs, he was a merman and life wasn't easy to adjust to but that was the only way. He managed to make his way to the ocean and found more merpeople but they weren't like him, none of them were previously human. He didn't stay near the other merpeople and opted to live further out so he could be alone, he felt better that way.

Hoseok should have known to not break away from the merpeople community..
His eyes widened when he saw the shadow of a net, trying to swim away as fast as he could but it was no used, the large net had him and the rope was too thick to cut. He was terrified that he was going to become an experiment so he decided to let go and pretend to be dead. He hoped and prayed that they would throw him back if he was dead.
