@ boy tenti Kun was well aware that human beings have always been the most curious creatures to have ever walked the earth. Though, he had lived long enough to know that they were also the most destructive, a danger to themselves and everything else around them.
When civilizations of great riches and bustling communities first made themselves known in the land, the god simply watched over them, asking for nothing despite the people taking notice of him. He gifted them with bountiful harvests and good weather, and like the grateful beings a number of them once were, a temple was made for him and offerings were piled high on its pristine marble floors. But not long after came the rebels and bandits, heretics from unknown territories. Despite all the chaos they brought, however, the god kept his peace. Decades fade into centuries and the people have almost forgotten him, save for a few firm believers who still visited his shrine several times a year.
This one human was clearly not any of those believers. He was a trespasser, perhaps a treasure hoarder like the hunters who came by every now and then, only to be swallowed up by the wrath of angry deity. The tomb was found empty once the human managed to lift the lid open, and Kun observed him quietly, wondering how foolish the man was to think that gods needed physical graves. He doesn't let him move any further, causing the ground to rumble below the human and encase him in solid amber crystal, a plethora of thorny rose vines sprouting from the ground to slam the tomb's lid shut before protectively wrapping around it. Kun manifests in front of the human out of thin air, cold green orbs observing him closely.
@kun ₂ the thunderous noise of a gun going off sliced through the silent air in the tomb, leaving behind a ringing whine to whosever ears the sound befell on.
head bopping up in attention, ten took a step forward to snatch off the lock now hanging limply, tossing it on the ground to his side. one knee on the ground, he pushed the lid open, orbs roving over the content of the box, lips tugging into a satisfied smirk at the shining artefacts within. digits slid across the smooth surfaces of chalices and coins, wriggling under a necklace before lifting it up to eye level, inspecting the piece of jewelry curiously with a hum.
these expensive items were offerings from worshippers given to the god of nature, qian kun. to have them kept away in treasure chests that would never be opened was a waste. better to sell them off and gain riches to donate for the less fortunate.
standing up once more, ten dusted his knee before kicking the chest closed. he ventured further into the lost holy ground, searching for more chests he could bring back with him. there were cobwebs clinging to them, formed from ages which passed, decades turning to centuries of followers leaving behind wealth as a sacrifice to their deity.
he soon reached a tomb way inside the cavern, stone sculpture sealed shut with whatever was inside. perhaps the 'body' of the deity in which this sacred place belonged to. either way, there might be treasures inside it that ten could sell for more money.
smiling, ten placed his hands on the heavy lid, and started pushing.
gonna take my leave. thanks for having me, but everything is just too much for me now.
you guys will obvi see me around because I'm the obnoxious younger sibling you all never asked for
