@❛ sam kiszka "likewise," felix replies softly, almost hesitantly; like he couldn't quite decide if it actually was a pleasure to meet this man. and truth be told, he can't decide.

despite the pleasantries that had just been exchanged, felix still felt on edge. there was still a hefty amount of tension lingering in his shoulders. but he hid it well while eating the remainder of his food, slow so he doesn't effect his health negatively, yet not slow enough that they'd end up being there for a while.

felix has always been known to be a slow eater. when he was young, and his parents were actually home to have dinner with him and christian, felix wold always be the last to leave the table yet he was always the one who would do it with an empty plate. today, was no different. every spec of food was gone when he concluded his meal.

just as the boy is about to pull out his own wallet to pay for the meal, sam had already beat him to the punch. for a moment, felix just stares at the man a shocked expression as he lingers on whether or not to accept the kind notion. in the end, as the waitress returns to the table with the bill in hand, felix ultimately decides to accept it and silently pockets his wallet before thanking the waitress for the good food (though he did end up putting a few bills on the table to serve as a tip). he slips both arms through the sleeve of his jacket while climbing out of the booth, patiently waiting for sam to join him then making a move for the exit.

while walking down the street towards the large house he refused to call home, felix's mind raced with numerous questions; so much that he began zoning out while staring at the ground, not at all paying attention to his surroundings and what's going on around him.

why was he apart of this? what did felix ever do to deserve to be dragged into this kind of mess? regardless of the feud that lycan had with his parents, that was their business. felix would understand more if his parents were targeted but... why him? the case had happened before felix had been born - his mother was pregnant with him while she was working on the trial. and why christian? christian, who wasn't even home during the trial since he had been studying abroad for extra college classes. it just... it didn't make sense. none of it made sense.

this "life" doesn't make sense. and quite strangely enough, felix feels himself beginning to question everything. his brother whom he idolized and adored oh so very much was gone. his parents, who favored christian over him and dove head first into work since his death, never really paid felix any attention despite their so called "attempts" to make amends. hell, they were never even home in the first place (day by day, felix found himself not being able to recognize them since he rarely ever sees them). a lycan had just attacked him with the intent to behead him and a death dealer had almost sought the same thing yet confusedly changed his mind right at the end and instead walked him home. he wouldn't admit this outloud but . . . a part of him wished that man pulled the trigger. that way he could be with his brother and not . . . here, where he knows no one will mourn for him.

with a soft sigh, felix does his best to dismiss his depressive thoughts while unlocking the front door. he steps aside to let sam in first before following suit, silently closing the door behind him and immediately slipping off his shoes before asking--

"would you like something to drink? some warm tea perhaps?"

@❛ felix lee the admittance of the address has samuel's eyes shifting towards the windows of the restaurant, which luckily, the two were surrounded by. there was a line of houses that the male could make out within the distance, and he pondered the fact of felix's house being one of them. if so, he then further questions what may have really happened initially between the human and his own brother. what really happened? were the rumors true? regardless of the fact, the supposed lycan that'd attacked the poor boy hadn't even returned back to the underground.

samuel begins to swim in questions of his own, but just as he would provide answers for the male before him, he hopes that he would get the same in return. "sure." elongated tendrils brush over piercing collarbones as his head dips forward in that of a nod, agreeing to at least allow the boy to complete what he'd come here initially to do: eat. he'd forgotten what it was like to have such simple tasks in life, what it was like to be youthful. perhaps there was a tinge of jealousy, that it was something samuel would never have back. something that was ultimately taken away from him, and the one that he would be required to be loyal to is the one that'd taken every single thing from him.

the warmth welcoming samuel's hand is what brings his head in the clouds to the ground once more, eyes finally shifting from the windows to overlook the smaller hand within his own. his brow twitches, the pad of his thumb running over the back of felix's own with a ghost of a smile tickling his visage. "felix." he repeats formally, dipping his head forward as if to acknowledge the male formally. "it's my pleasure. regardless of the circumstances." old habits die hard, especially coming from polish nobility -- formal speech would never lack from his own countenance, no matter how many centuries would be spent roaming the earth restlessly. for what now, he wonders? for he'd found his brother, what else was there to search for? to.. live for?

reluctantly, the male retracts his hand in order to fish his leather wallet from the confinement of his back pockets, then doing the same with the cash within it to then splay atop of the table. "it'd be my pleasure to take care of this, for i understand i have .. taken you by surprise. please." he encourages, tiers upturned.

@❛ sam kiszka felix has been involved in this kind of top secret secret for a time span of a whole week and he's already formed opinions on both races. knowing that a lycan had targeted his family, broke into their house all those years ago, and slaughtered his elder brother in cold blood and knowing that *the same lycan* had attempted to kill him a week ago, it's needless to say that his first impression with that species is so negative that the points were also in the negative. all felix could picture when thinking about the lycans was the sight of his brother's torn apart body littering the entrance way's floor - and the endless nightmares that still plague his dreams at night, if he's even able to fall asleep that is. and when he's thinking about the vampires, or otherly wise known as the single death dealer he had "the pleasure" of meeting the other day, all that came to mind was empty eyes and cold hands; making felix recall the harsh, unforgiving grip on his shoulder, the way his sunkissed skin turned a foreboding black in the shape of a hand.

his experiences with both kinds were not fond or favorable.

however, with an awaited thought, felix also remembers the death dealer saving him from that angry lycan and even though the vampire could have (and probably should have) killed him, he instead told felix the truth and walked him home (not without saying goodbye in the forms of a few death threats, of course). so, whether that man cared to admit or not, there was good in him - and felix could see it now.

and with the lycan that killed his brother... he supposes he could understand their rage in a weird kind of way. don't get him wrong, the lycan's parents were responsible for a few pages worth of massacares that happened in this town for over the span 10 years and they definitely deserved to rot in that jailcell - so felix sort of knew, or at least had an idea about it, that this family was all sorts of crazy. their son was probably raised in that hell, and probably didn't want to be - was forced into it. so a part of felix knew (hoped) that this creature probably wasn't even aware that what they were doing was wrong. it probably didn't even know any better.

despite both of their ugly sides, there was good in them. felix chose look past all of that just to see it and that is what prompted him to not even hesitate when he responds back with--

"my house is just down the street." the shakiness has toned down considerably and even though there's still tears in his eyes, felix refuses to shed them. "just... give me a few minutes to at least take this meal to-go and pay my bill." blue eyes dart down to the hand extended out and he finds himself staring at the palm for a few seconds before slowly lifting a hand to take it. this man, his hand is so... warm and soft; almost inviting, welcoming but it also feels... rigid, like there's bundles of tension plaguing his veins that he's desperately trying to keep subtle.

when his eyes lift to meet the golden hues staring back at him, felix allows a gentle smile to tug upon his peachy brims. "sam.. well, it's nice to meet you, though i kind of wish it was under different circumstances. my name is felix."

@❛ felix lee the boy before samuel seemed a bit familiar. not in the way that he'd seen him before, nor that he felt as though they've met prior to now, but in a way that he saw himself within him. six hundred years ago, he, too, was a youthful human boy with a sense of innocence. there was absolutely no suspicion within his mind regarding the supernatural, for at that time, there weren't even myths created about them. it was unknown in his world of nobility, yet unknowingly apparent. little did samuel know that the elder vampires, according to his brother, were only half an hour or so away from their home.

like felix, the innocence left over was abruptly taken from him within that of a fatal attack to his family, taking away his parents, his sister, and for decades, his own brother. if the rumors were true, his story is more similar to the boy's before him than anyone else's. samuel knew what he was going through, because he'd gone through it. the thought of the initial attack continues to cut open the wound that seemingly refused to heal over, and he was convinced that it never would. it would never get easier. not for his brother, not for felix. it'll never get better, although he wished he could promise that it would. an empty lie that would be, and there's one thing samuel wasn't: a liar. he wouldn't give false hope.

"i figured." the tips of svelte digits repetitively tap upon the glimmering table top, lower lip encased between pearly whites. his attention is shifted to each and every other occupant of the room, only before returning to the bowl of ramen eaten by the human boy. "you're right. somewhere private, then. your place." the suggestion probably wouldn't be what the latter would want to hear, however, felix would be taken as a meal if he were to enter the den at this time without warning. "don't worry, i'm not here to hurt you. just here to answer your questions, i promise." his head cranes to the side with pursed lips. "while i'm sure you were scared into secrecy, i'm also here to ensure you know that we don't mean any harm."

leaning in closer, a brow elevates with his voice falling to a whisper. "i need to know that we can trust you with this information, regardless of how shocking it can be. all eyes are on you, and i don't mean that to scare you, but it's reality. if one word of this is spoken to anyone else, anyone, then you're on the menu. by both kinds. and most likely all human race will be wiped out." outstretching a hand, the corners of his lips upturn. "i'm samuel."

@❛ sam kiszka now able to look at the man in front of him in a proper light, he pretty much was a spitting image of the death dealer that felix had a run in with a week prior. their resemblance was uncanny and it was obvious that they were brothers. the single question that seemed to occupy his mind the most was if they acted alike as much as they looked alike. was this man also a death dealer? was he here to threaten him with his life if he ever so much as breathed the secret out to another soul? either way, felix was left sitting there feeling weary and uncomfortable; unsure of what to believe or what to trust, so the tension builds and builds until his muscles strain from the pressure.

no word seems to come to mind. he isn't even sure what to say or do and ends up finding himself staring down into the bowl of ramen while the tears start flooding his vision. the reminder of what had happened the other night, despite his *desperate* attempt to put it behind him so he could forget about the night altogether, is now hitting him full force.

an empty street, void of any passing cars or any other city residences. the cold autumn breeze blowing against his tinted cheeks. a large paper bag, filled with different groceries for the dinner he was going to prepare, hauled to his chest with both arms tucked underneath it so the bottom of the bag didn't rip. passing by the bus stop and seeing his house in the distance, sticking out like a sore thumb in his point of view despite it looking alike to the normal houses nearby. then suddenly, a hefty weight slamming him face first into the ground, pinning him there and making any movement impossible. he remembers feeling the rough concrete scraping painfully against his cheek and the sharp claws digging harshly into the back of his neck. he remembers hearing the animalistic voice growling into his ear; mocking him and his family, even the death of his beloved brother. and he remembers the sounds of gunshots echoing through the night followed by a cold, rough hand clamping down on his shoulder and hauling him up like some sort of ragdoll.

the recollection has felix absentmindedly reaching to his nap, rubbing a palm over the still-healing claw marks there. the scrap against his cheek was still there, stark against his freckled skin, and there was also a dark bruise on his shoulder, hidden underneath the shirt he wore, that oddly resembled a handprint.

a fleeting touch to his cheek has felix jumping a little in surprise, teary orbs shooting up to the man in front of him, and realizes that the stranger had reached across the table to brush a tear away. it startled the human boy for a couple seconds, however the look of concern that he was being given helped coax him but only a little; less on edge and more open to talk.

"of course i got questions." felix mutters after a long period of silence. "after what happened that night? what sane person wouldn't walk away without questions?" grabbing the chopsticks so he could continue eating the ramen before it gets cold, he allows himself to fall quiet once more. "but, if your brother meant those numerous death threats to me, i don't think talking about it here in a public place is such a good idea."

@❛ felix lee honey hues overlook the plate before the human before him, eyebrows raising. he'd forgotten what regular food had tasted like, to be frank. and although he wished he could reach out and attempt to try it, samuel wasn't looking to die. not today, at least. a look of bemusement tickled his visage, and while he didn't come with the means to frighten the male, it should've been expected from the lycan.

slender digits interlace together atop of the glimmering table, posture straightening a tad before he saunters back upon the cushioning of the chair behind him. regardless of what was spoken, just a few seconds was all the other male needed to connect the dots. the look of bemusement on samuel's visage was immediately replaced with one of concern, brows furrowing together with an arm outstretching to allow the back of his knuckles amongst the shimmer the tears leave behind upon the swell of his cheeks. the warmth is the first thing that he notes, but his palm quickly retracts.

"no, of course i'm not. that's not really my cup of tea." his arms flee to cross amongst the build of his chest, and he overlooks the male once more with a purse of his tiers. "i'm sure you've got some questions. i'm here to answer them."

@❛ sam kiszka while waiting for his drink to arrive, felix takes his time to search through the menu so he could decide on what kind of food he would like to order. some noodles sounded pretty tasty but then again the rumor of this restaurant's kimbap being really good filled him with temptation. deciding to go with their special shin ramen and a side of kimbap, felix closes the menu then sets it aside just in time for the waiter to return with his cinnamon tea. after thanking her, taking the mug carefully between his palms, and placing his order in, all there's left to do is wait for the drink to cool down enough for it to be safe enough to sip on without getting burnt while he waits for his food. the tea, thankfully, had just the right amount of honey added to it so the cinnamon wasn't overshadowed by the sweetness. he could taste both flavors when taking a tentative sip and exhales quietly in delight, letting the warm liquid ease his tense muscles into a state of relaxation.

the distant yet gentle chatter of the restaurant, the different kinds of smells filling his nostrils, this place game an almost homey feeling; welcoming, warm. for the first time in such a long, long while, felix felt secure in a place he's never actually been before and decided from here on out that coming to this restaurant will definitely become a regular thing.

"here you go. enjoy!" the sudden presence of the waiter returning with his food startles the boy enough for him to jump a bit, nearly spilling the tea over himself. he didn't realize how long it had been but he did realize he had begun zoning out for quite a while; staring blankly at the empty seat in front of him while slowly sipping on his tea. felix feels his cheeks flush a little in humiliation and hurriedly accepts the food while hoping the waiter didn't think he was weird or something. breaking the chopsticks apart with a satisfied 'snap!' noise, he immediately breaks the cooked egg apart before gathering a chunk in with a small clump of noodles then carefully blows on it for a couple of seconds. then suddenly someone is sliding into the booth across from him and felix almost ends up choking on his noodles out of surprise, crystal blue irises wide as they stare up at the stranger.

"brother?" felix's voice is muffled around the noodles and he realizes that it's definitely not polite to talk with your mouth full so he quickly chews, swallows, then continues. "i'm not sure... what you're referring to?"

then again, this man seemed strikingly familiar yet not quite; like he had seen someone who looked just like him. comically, it's almost like a loading icon appears smack-dab on his forehead as the boy studies the man in front of him in weary confusion; brows pinched together, plump brims curved down in a faint frown, hand lowering slowly so the chopsticks lodge into the bowl of ramen. then felix's mind seems to put the pieces together and the expression he wore changes almost instantly.

from surprise to confusion. from confusion to realization. from realization to *fear*.

when felix speaks, it's in a hushed tone. his voice is shaky, full of fright, and his irises glitter with a mixture of the lights hanging above them and the subtle show of fresh tears. "y-you're here to kill me, aren't you?"
❛ sam kiszka [A] 3 years ago
@❛ felix lee the peculiarity of samuel's brows knitting together isn't necessarily anything new, for each lengthy stride forward was one done so with a hint of concentration and determination. not one to normally dabble within the whispers and rumors from the land of their rivals, the past week or so he'd managed to stay hidden within the confinement of his room, locking himself within until he'd reached a point of borderline starvation. the hunt definitely helped, sure, but since the ripple of the waves disturbed the tranquility of his life, he'd found himself stuck within a life crisis. what was there left of his life moving forward? each goal had been met, albeit with consequences, and his part of the pack wasn't anything important.

does he live a life suffering in silence for eternity? or perhaps work towards patching up the relationship he wished to uphold with his brother? that's what this was all about, in a way. he'd heard the rumors through the den, even about the loss of one of his own kind. although the spoken name of his brother still sent a shiver throughout his spine, being somewhat of a protective sibling (still) comes with wanting to know what was happening within jacob's life. any disturbances, lovers, if his kind ever attempted to take his life. perhaps it was nosy of him to try to keep as much track of him as possible, but the fear of losing him forever remains hovering within his mind.

the door of the restaurant easily nudges open with a single nudge of his boot, opening the entryway for the lycan to slip within. his sunglasses are slowly removed yet remain lingering before his visage as honey hues overlook each and every table in search of whom he was in search of. "where are you?" he murmurs beneath his breath, teeth clicking upon the temple of the accessory within his fingers before his eyes linger over the back of - what he would guess to be - felix. the only person alone. with a brow elevating, he tucks his sunglasses into the dip upon his v-neck as he saunters to slip into the space ahead of the human. "hello." he greets, leaning in to cross his forearms over the edge of the table with a widening simper. "i've heard you've met my brother."

@❛ sam kiszka ever since the incident a couple nights ago where his whole world turned upside down, felix has been keeping to himself in the house; never leaving its confining and empty rooms out of fear of the unknown. if someone had approached him a couple weeks ago telling him that his brother had been killed by a lycan, then his reaction and acceptance to the news would definitely be a lot more positive. confusing, yet more positive. instead, how felix had found out was a rather violent encounter with a vengeful lycan that had been put down quickly without emotion, or remorse, by a death dealer that introduced himself as a vampire. not only had felix found out that humans weren't the only ones occupying earth and that the identity of what had murdered his brother, but he himself had been threatened with his life to keep this ancient knowledge a secret.

so much had happened in one night that felix just needed time away from society to try to wrap his head around it - though he did end up putting all of that time to use by conducting research on vampires and lycans. who knows, honestly, where they are in this town. he probably already met some from each species and hasn't even realized it yet. if he's going to live side by side with them, he might as well try to understand them and figure out ways to protect himself.

after being cooped up in the house for nearly a week, the human boy began to get antsy. the house itself already made his skin crawl so forcing himself to stay there didn't help his negative outlook on it. deciding to spend the entire day outdoors, seeing as it was beautiful weather, felix made his way to a nearby restaurant to after taking a very long stroll through the park; gaining himself an appetite. he slides into an empty booth that's a little secluded from all of the occupied tables and takes the menu the waiter hands him before putting in his request for a drink; warm cinnamon tea with honey.

@❛ sehun oh ᵏⁿᶦᵍʰᵗ "you do." selena somewhat inquires with a raise of her brow, a look of bemusement tickling her features with a chuckle following suit. her hands lower to hide within the confinement of the pockets of the leather coat once more, yet she remains before him without a hint of fear within her. "would it make it better if you knew my name? you don't know me." she murmurs, honey hues overlooking his entirety before raising to find his own once more.

"i'm selena." she adds to her previous statement, brows beginning to elevate as she watches for any kind of reaction. what was the purpose of this? does he own the restaurant? no, she'd never seen the male in the entirety of her life, albeit short, but this restaurant was the only thing that provided a sense of stability. "and honestly? i've just got a lot on my mind, and i like this place. is that okay with you?" her brows furrow once more, tongue clicking against the roof of with the tips of her toes tapping restlessly amongst the ground beneath her feet.

@❛ selena gomez The sudden nickname was almost ironically offensive had he actually cared to think about it. It's still difficult to make out her features entirely, but it would be enough to remember her face, and for a moment, he has to blink away a sense of familiarity. Despite the features that he had seen so long ago, there was still a newfound sense of foreign unfamiliarity emanating off of the woman. It was a tornado of a concoction that ultimately left the lycan unsure of how to proceed. His former human self wanted to embrace the woman who seemed so much like his former love, but his present lycan rejected the idea entirely and wanted nothing more than to defend himself and his species. This woman, as innocent as she may appear, was a threat until proven otherwise.

His arms were hanging at his side, prepared to defend himself at a moment's notice. His teeth grinded against each other as he attempted to size her up, trying to discern her intentions. "To be quite frank with you, yes. Yes I do. Now tell me who you are or back up." He stood up, attempting to force some semblance of intimidation upon her, but he couldn't gauge its effectiveness. "No one is usually out this late unless they're on guard or up to no good, so which is it?"

@❛ chaeyoung park A glance down revealed their parlous position and Chanyeol felt himself blanch. The damp concrete pricked at his palms as he pushed himself up and off the woman beneath him, all fight bleeding from his body as he sat back against the wall, elbows resting on his knees as he gazed at her with narrowed, contemplating eyes. Would he ever be able to forget the sight of her face mere seconds ago? Those luminous eyes, fight fangs ready to tear into his soft, vulnerable flesh.

With a sigh he reached into his pocket, the other hand brushing absent-minded, his fingers collecting water from a puddle they must have rolled through. "", he mumbled once more, tucking a cigarette between his lips with trembling digits, lighting it with a flick of his wrist. "So you're one of them, hm?" he exhaled, hissing around the burn if nicotine in his lungs. He hesitated, watching her closely as if to make sure they kept their distance, the void between them only filled by the curling smoke of his cigarette.
"what... What now? Are you going to try and kill me? My uncle told me your kind has no remorse when it comes to killing a lycan."

@❛ chanyeol park Her silver orbs glowed in the dark, as she slowly began revealing her true face, the hideous and monstrous creature she was. Her fangs punctured out from her gums, as she was ready to attack the beasty man. However, it was too late already as the two fell on the cement floor, falling on her back first. Luckily, the street light that had shined beneath them was bright enough to reveal the two as her face reverted back to its original, the moment she realized who was hovering on top of her. "Chanyeol?" She couldn't believe what she saw. Someone she once knew, a kind-hearted human who has now an enemy against her own kind. Loosening her grip on his shirt, she sat up in disbelief. Not too long ago, she was disappointed in herself for being gone for a while and now, she had absolutely no clue how to feel.

As she gazed into his eyes, she reminded himself to never feel again; to never show emotions; to never show mercy towards any vampire, werewolf or human being. Yet, that was only what made her feel human, and a part of her wanted to give it a try again. While watching him distracted by his thoughts, she cleared to grab his attention before looking away momentarily. "Um, can you get off of me first? Then, maybe we can talk."

@❛ chaeyoung park [the year 2016]

The full moon was drawing nearer. A waxing silver coin in the sky, bathing everything in this ghostly, pale light that Chanyeol had always loathed when he was still a child. The night was supposed to be dark, so he wouldn’t be able to see the monsters hiding in their garden hut. Or so he had told his mother once when he had begged her to close the blinds during a full moon night. Oh, how right he had been without even knowing it.

Uncle Donghyuk had begged him not to go out at night, had practically threatened him to have him chained up in the Full Moon District like a rabid dog, report him to the alpha even. Everything to prevent him to go and get himself killed by what Donhyuk called “the leeches”.
How bad could it be? Vampires, werewolves. Chanyeol didn’t care, didn’t want to care.
He wanted to go home, wanted to catch a smoke with an old coworker he hadn’t seen in months when he had been plagued with the change, constantly sweating bullets of fevered heats.

Cold. It wasn’t a smell Chanyeol had known before, something he didn’t even know he would be able to smell. Not cold like the snow on a winter morning, or the crisp clearness of a passing storm. Just cold. Unmoving and still, like silver and neon. Something twitched, deep inside of him. Enemy, the smell seemed to radiate. Kill, the twitching thing inside of him screamed.
Kill or be killed, his uncle had told him when Chanyeol had cursed him, spat blood at him after the other man had punched him in the nose to get him to shut up.
Now, he suddenly understood.

There, illuminated by the moonlight, stood a figure impossibly pale and cold.
Adrenaline pulsed through him, his teeth itching to sink into flesh, his skin prickling with the sudden need to change, rip, destroy. The being moved and so did Chanyeol. It was pure instinct, the most primal part of his brain. He jumped, crashing into the other person and ripping them off their feet, the both of them barreling through a stack of trash bags filled with paper snippets and packaging Styrofoam, the plastic bags exploding under the joined weight of Lycan and Vampire.
Hands scratched across his face, nails catching and somewhere in the back of his head he registered that both of them were hissing, ready to tear into the other, eat their heart out.

“Chanyeol?”, he heard through the fog clouding his senses, the voice oddly familiar and the way his name spoken almost too soft, too human. He paused, a hand above the woman’s head, fingers tangled in her hair, the other wrapped tightly around her upper arm, strong enough to break bones. But her bones didn’t break, her skin didn’t blemish from the fall. But the eyes looking up at him were familiar, the shape of her nose, the round of her cheeks.
“Chaeyoung?”, he whispered, correcting himself immediately by nothing but pure habit.
“Miss Park.” A shake of his head, his eyes searching hers. “You… you’re one of them.”

He scrambled, tugging at her hair by accident and wincing in tandem to the pain it must cause her, falling back against the wall of an adjacent building, breathing as harsh as his heartbeat.
“Oh.”, he made, gaze still trained on her as if he expected her to pounce and snap his neck.
“Oh no. It makes so much sense now… How stupid. Ironic… .”

@❛ chanyeol park [ Time: Year of 2016 ]

When the sun begins to set and the night sky takes over, decorated with specks of stars and the beautiful moon shining down above the town, the vampire would make her way down to the restaurant, where she had become a regular for the past few years. Not only was she there to pretend to feast on human food, or to meet up with her colleagues, but to see a particular admirer of hers, her waiter to be exact. For years, her waiter had served her and greeted her with the warmest smile, as well as energy. It was undeniable to say, she enjoyed his presence very much, yet, it almost reminded her too much of her past. Hence, she continued to lift her walls up until there came a time where she had not been available to come to the restaurant for months, due to the shortage of staff at the blood bank. However, when she did return, she was told he no longer worked there anymore and left with nothing much to say. After all, people do come and go, and perhaps he found a better job somewhere as she thought.

As she left the restaurant feeling disappointed in herself, walking down the sidewalk of the streets with dim lights, she noticed a tall figure nearby her, including the foul smell that resembled a dog and that was when she realized it wasn't only a man, but a wolf to be exact as she turned quickly to find the man in front of her, before she looked around to find a way to flee, and went down a darker path where no one would see the two, the alleyway. Yet, it was too late for her to do so as she was knocked down onto the ground as she tried to fight for her life until that was when the light shined closer upon the two of them and that was when she realized who it was. "Chanyeol?"

@❛ sehun oh ᵏⁿᶦᵍʰᵗ To say that there was a lot on Selena's mind was proven to be an understatement as her legs lead her repetitively through the entire city. Restless, it was the first time she'd been on her own in over forty years -- well, the first time alone that she hadn't snuck away from her sire. So used to being in his company, the female barely knew what to do with herself. Control was at the least of her worries, however, the thought of bringing more pain to human life (especially after the night before) made her sick to her stomach. And regardless of the hate that remained for her sire, the guilt seemed to override it. If only she'd listened to him, or taken him seriously, she wouldn't be in this position. Her mom had taught her better than this.

The walk she'd taken throughout Arcani Heights on this particular evening was as if she was abroad, exploring a new city beneath the moonlight. Did she look as though she was enjoying it? Each step taken with brows knit together, long and darkened strands glimmering new levels of a rich brown color beneath the moonlight. Her hands are tucked within her sire's own leather jacket, bringing her a sliver of comfort during her midnight stroll. She finds herself walking the unbeaten path towards the city's diner, a place she became all too familiar with throughout her years of growing up. She'd seen how it'd grown and outlived the lives of the original workers, and still, even though she was unable to eat the food, it was a place she was fond of. A place where she found comfort. The sudden yell takes her by surprise, however. Her guard was down, so it was completely unexpected. But she doesn't stop walking, nor does she "identify herself", instead continuing her travel to her destination with brows knitted in attempt to make out the figure. Only is she able to do so upon standing a few feet before him, hands removing from the pockets of the leather coat to hold at each side of her head with a simper. "Easy there, tiger." To her surprise, the male before her is very, Very attractive. "Do you do this to everyone that comes by here....Stranger?"

@❛ selena gomez The routine had been instilled in him since before he was turned. He would always take an evening stroll to work through his thoughts. The evening always instilled an overwhelming sense of tranquility within him. Even as a child, he hardly ever slept on time because he found the night to be more productive than the day. The evening breeze was brisk and ran through Sehun's hair. Moonlight cascaded down from above, peeking through the tree canopies to baptize the lycan in a sheen of ivory light.

It's on these strolls that a sense of clarity invades his mind. His normal thoughts that cloud his judgement with a flurry of decisions fade away, and he's left with nothing but the night sky on his mind. The diner, usually bustling with humans going about their lives, is empty at this hour. The neon sign that typically emitted a dull crimson cadence over the parking lot is shut off, leaving in its absence a sea of darkness and ambiguity. Leaning against the steps to the entrance, he rested his elbows on his thighs and released a loud sigh. His gaze was fixated on the waxing moon; the mere sight of it called to his inner lycan. However, a sudden shift of a silhouette within his field of vision immediately caught his attention. The figure was unrecognizable at this distance. "Identify yourself, stranger!" He yelled out, cautious of the potential threat that they imposed.
