@❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ yoorim listens to alexa's statement as she smiles, holding back the urge to argue until she's done talking. "I am a writer, if i don't believe in what I write, how will people believe in my work and the stories i am trying to tell?" she pauses for a while to sort out her thoughts. "i respect your perception into believing they don't exist, but that doesn't give you ground to say they really don't. isn't it better to give a space of possibilities to define their existence than none? and you mentioned about leading me astray, why would you do that? if you are just trying to disturb my work that it totally unrelated to you, you wouldn't have a motive to do that. unless, you have secrets of your own that you don't want me to find out by questioning you." she chuckles quietly at alexa's words before the smile on her face disappears, looking at her as she continues the speech. "if you are a human, you won't specifically say that you are a 'human' because that is a known factor. just like i won't say i am a girl today as if i am not one before. plus, even if you really are a vampyre and try to kill me, you have risks to take. we have the surveillance camera around here, and the guard that saw us coming in. and how are you so sure there's only the two of us?" yoorim shrugs, already a bit tired in explaining so much when the other lady just wants to prove her point in these creatures never exist. but to her, she has grown up listening to those words, from her parents, her friends, it is nothing new. "asus, not sure what model but the brand is asus." she answers briefly, jumping a bit when the books on the shelf behind her is knocked off, with the lights flickering above her head. but what's the point? ghosts don't just appear when you mention them, as if some attention seeker. she watches as alexa walks away before putting down her laptop, heading to the shelf to arrange the books back into their original position. two questions answered, with unconvincing answers, and someone who doesn't believe in creatures...today can be way more interesting than that.

@❛ yoorim heo "It's just the fact that I've never seen one, so to me they don't exist. If a tree falls in a forest and there's no one around to hear it then does it make a sound? It's all about perception, I guess. You perceive that vampires might exist just so you can have something to write about and I perceive that they don't exist... I mean come on, undead bloodsuckers walking around? How exactly do you know that these other people are telling you the truth? Hell, I could have been leading you astray and you wouldn't have even known it." Alexa said with a nonchalant shrug. After hearing her joke, Alexa chuckled. "If I was a vampire don't you think I would've tried to bite you by now? I mean come on, this set up would make it far too easy. A library at night and we're the only ones here. And if I indeed was a vampire... well, you might know too much already about vampires so I'd probably try to rip your neck out like some of those creatures supposedly do. But I'm not, I'm a regular human woman that has a date that I'd like to get to." Alexa said with a playful smile adorning her features. She stood up and gazed at the laptop for a brief moment. "What laptop model is that by the way? It looks fancy." Alexa asked as her mind focused on the laptop yet she kept her gaze on Yoorim... she was using her dark gift to erase quite a few saved files from the laptop including the notes she had just saved, destroy the hard drive and kill the battery. She also used her telekinetic powers to knock over a few books on the shelf behind Yoorim before telekinetically making one of the lights start to flicker. "Great, when you started talking about ghosts they probably appeared. Anyways I've got to go, don't want to keep my date waiting." Alexa said as she got her purse. She smiled and patted Yoorim on the back before walking off, "Good luck with your novel by the way."

@❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ yoorim's brows furrow a bit as she explains her question to alexa. "because if they need to kill something or someone everytime they feed, that would cause many innocent lives right?" she blinks, but still types in alexa's answers into her laptop. perhaps she will have to analyze this information herself once she is done with the meeting. "why do you think they don't exist?" she throws a question back, proceeding to answer the question further. "people say ghosts don't exist yet there are always paranormal stories that cannot be explained simply by science. what you don't see doesn't mean it doesn't exist." she hums as she continues to speak out her thoughts. "not only you, i also consult other people for their knowledge in these." and that is true, given that she always love finding out what people think about and sometimes there will be surprising discoveries. "you seem like you could be a long-living vampyre too, don't you think?" she jokes, saving the notes in her laptop before switching it off.
❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ 3 years ago
@❛ yoorim heo Alexa smiled slightly before looking Yoorim in her eyes. "Who told you they can't kill humans or animals? They certainly can. I've heard stories of vampires ripping a human neck open... but they're just that... stories, right? Oh yeah they can eat or so I've heard. Hey, I've got a question for you... Why am I your go to source for info about vampires? I'm not an expert in them and hell, they don't even exist." Alexa said as she scooted closer to Yoorim.
❛ yoorim heo 3 years ago
@❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ "Oh..." Her face definitely shows a shocking expression but who is she to say that what Alexa says is not true? Sometimes the information on the internet may not be entirely credible as well, plus she trusts Alexa for her knowledge, she wouldn't have any reason to lie to her. Her fingers move swiftly across the keyboard as she types in the answer she has gotten from Alexa, moving on to the next question as she looks up at her, slightly biting her lips. "For vampyres, how do they feed themselves nowadays if they cannot kill human or animals? Can they also consume food like a normal human being in order to not get caught?" She looks at Alexa, slightly nervous as she awaits for the answer that will help her in writing her latest story.

@❛ sabrina carpenter His eyes overlook each strand upon the back of her head, completely hyper aware of each strand that was a little darker than the other and so on. He can even smell her natural scent, beneath that of a floral-like perfume, but the first was certainly better than the latter. "I happen to be a person that judges book by their covers, and this one, is very attractive." The male admits with his right shoulder elevating within that of a halfhearted shrug, only then the bridge of his nose scrunching with a faint chuckle following suit. "I come to the library every day, y'know, to read. I don't trust myself to bring books home because i'll never bring them back, so when I want to read I just come in. But before I settle, I like to explore some. New books come in all the time, y'know? You never know what you can find."

His plump lower tier tucks itself between his teeth once more, right hand then tucking within the confinement of his right back pocket with his hand gently retracting as she turns to face him, but still somewhat hovering over her arm. Her words earn a furrow of his brows, confusion once again occupying his visage. "Next character?" He inquires with a tilt of his head, and even though he wasn't following her, it was still a compliment. But his attention shifts to the tangerine now within his palm, and he eyes it with pursed lips. He doesn't even remember what this tasted like, the tip of his tongue gliding over the front of his teeth. He wouldn't be able to eat it anyway. "I'm actually allergic to tangerines." He chuckles, extending it. "But thank you."

Though, his eyes immediately shift back to her the moment the name slips from her tiers, and he wears a cheeky smile. "You.... You're Sabrina? Wow, you've tricked me, I see." His index finger points towards her with a soft laugh. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Sabrina. You've got a very talented mind, and a very fresh way with words, from what I was able to read. Maybe i'll have to.." Samuel begins, pulling the book back out by it's spine. "Continue this. Maybe though, i'll purposefully bring it home." He murmurs, leaning down to become closer with a soft chuckle and continuing with a whisper. "And keep it. But that's between us, yes?"

@❛ sam kiszka Perhaps she wasn't one of those girls with immense and versatile experience with men, she found the boy's tonality capturing. Grave and with drops of rustiness that added up to the extreme attractiveness. And she loved how he seemed to be so natural in this surrounding, as if he already knew her for ages? centuries? There was no hesitation in his words, making her comfortable in the first five minutes of their meeting. It wasn't usually like this, people were rushing everywhere under this somber sky, they were busy and unhappy most of time too. The faint coral never leaving her visage whenever the corner of her eyes glimpsed towards the athletic being.

Not even to mention the chaos invading with a new dose of emotions when his hand touched her, delicate, her mother was never as delicate. Swallowing the word back into until she found the courage, to bring her thoughts together and reply. "Then how come you got stuck here with this book in your hand? What called you here?" She was truly interested, from all the thousands of books in this library she had the luck to be chosen by him. "A friend. Right." The corners of extended upon her face, reflecting his own amicable smile.

"My reality is written in this book you are holding right now," spinning around to face the tall corpus towering over her tiny self, her hand reached out to take the book, as her other hand was still occupied with the tangerine she brought with her for now reason. "So, Samuel is the name of my next character," instead she extended the fruit to the male, placing it in the massive hand that held the book only a few moments ago as if she had to thank him for the offered help somehow. She gave him her favorite fruit and a piece of her body warmth.

"I'm Sabrina Carpenter. And thank you for picking my book out of all these splendid works."
❛ sam kiszka [A] 3 years ago
@❛ sabrina carpenter Having come in contact with humans everyday, the male is grateful that he had already been given the opportunity to learn from his mistakes. And even though his interactions with them were repetitive and sometimes insignificant, this one deemed itself contrasting the methodically exchange upheld with the human population on a daily basis. The one before him was so, so familiar with looks.... yet distinct and individual within. The tip of his tongue follows between the seam of his tiers, only for the lower one to be collected within a set of linear pearly whites.

"History, i'd say. Historical non-fiction, or even astrological, cultural, y'know. . .all of those good things." The male expresses as the tips of his fingers run over his left cheek, corners of his tiers upturning into a faint simper. Those similar digits nudge faint brunette strands behind his ear, running over the shape of it as his eyes remain unwavering upon her smaller figure. "A friend of the author? I can definitely say I wasn't expecting that. Please do pass my compliments to miss Carpenter, then." His attempt with modern conversing seemed to most certainly fail, but hopefully it wasn't too frightening to her.

"Things reality can't provide, huh? Must be nice to step within someone's fantasy, no? I mean, that's the point of it all. I do hope your reality can provide those things." His slumped posture is nudged from the shelves of the book casing, back straightened as he steps behind her. Gently, Samuel places his left hand atop of her left bicep as the other extends above the both of them to reach for the book, only then holding it before her with a growing smile.

"I'm Samuel."

@❛ sam kiszka Profound quiescence refilled her ears as soon as her voice died in the back of , gazing at the sun which slowly started to dawn upon the boy’s face from the window’s direction; caressing delicately like drops of transparent kisses upon the porcelain-like surface. And if he didn’t look like the prettiest metaphor she ever read, then he was a simile; when you compare the sun to a divine creature. For a moment, flowers bloomed upon the apple of her cheeks, pouring her thought insight. Breath died once with words, she forgot when exactly she forgot to trap oxygen into her lungs as the girl was completely distracted by the masculine presence.

“Then what is your type of genre?” with her head inclined to the side, partly to read every single flaw upon his visage, which she didn’t seem to find. The golden curls cascaded past her shoulder, hanging behind her to the middle where the belt hugged her thin waist. She was intrigued by the male’s answer; how comes he was stuck in this section if he wasn’t looking for a fairytale? Exhaling with a muted chuckle, after detaching her immaculate teeth from her brim, her eyes lifted to meet his unfamiliar features once more.

“Let’s say I know the author,” she scanned the shadow of his eyelashes falling onto his oddly pale coverage, and yet putting down mentally every single detail about his appearance, hoping to make him the knight in one of her stories. Naïve girl, already made him the main character, without thinking twice. “She usually writes about good things reality can’t provide.”

Shifting her attention to the books forgotten on the shelves, the pad of one of her digits brushing down the untidy titles. Half of them were already read, and half of them had an unhappy ending. Then she reached out to the very last shelf, which she seldom could reach. Lifting her weight onto the tip of her toes, the items seemed to be as far from her as the stars from the horizon. “Could you please, uh, give me the black one? I can’t reach”.
❛ sam kiszka [A] 3 years ago
@❛ sabrina carpenter As mentioned before: this wasn't his type of book, but it didn't seem horrible. Not something he would pick up for himself, but not something he'd toss aside if given to him. The writing was good, even though he remained unbothered by the contents. He could respect that, at least. The book is flipped in his large palms, each page turned to press against the cover so that he could read about the author. "Sabrina Carpenter," He murmurs beneath his breath, only to emit a low hum with a shrug following suit. "Nice name." The male compliments, and just as he's about to set the book back upon the shelf, his attention is caught by a voice he couldn't recall within his mind.

Honey hues shift from the book to ....... Amelia?

Samuel's brows immediately knit together to express a look of confusion upon his visage, almost completely disregarding her question. "Huh? Oh.." The tips of his fingers shut the book completely, somewhat of a sheepish simper tugging at his tiers. "Uh, yeah. Not really my type of genre though." The last words are a bit softer in tone as he nudges it back where he'd gotten it from. All the while, his eyes run over the female in the corner of his eyes. It wasn't Amelia, he could sense it from her smell, but why is a direct replica of her standing right before him. Maybe it could be her? No, this wasn't how she dressed. This girl's voice is softer, too, and by the youth and color of her skin, she was...... human.

"Uh," He murmurs, almost stammering beneath his breath before clearing his throat. "I mean, the writer is uh, pretty good. I guess. Have you read it?"
❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ 3 years ago
@❛ yoorim heo Alexa crossed her legs and smiled as the question hit her ears. She shook her head. "That's not true at all. Vampires can be out under the sunlight. That's simply a myth somebody made up." Alexa lied nonchalantly. There was a reason why no one really saw her outside during the daytime but her excuse was that she worked during the day and was very dedicated to her business, therefore she usually had fun at night after all her work was completed. This wasn't a complete lie, she worked on her business through online meetings and online services but in the confines of the manor during the day before sleeping in her coffin and waking up at night so she could go out and have one night stands or waste her time doing other things like she was now. "Next question..." She said as she cocked her head to the side and gave her a small smile. After the questions were done, Alexa would have a question for Yoorim.
❛ yoorim heo 3 years ago
@❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ Yoorim looks up at the voice and a wide smile immediately breaks out from her stoic face. "Alexa." She almost raises her voice but remembers they are in a library so she quickly holds the urge down and lowers her voice. "Oh I won't take up much of your time, don't worry." she sits down after giving Alexa a welcoming hug, eyes darting from her to the laptop screen where it saves a bunch of her questions that she just typed in. She gulps nervously, not sure where to even start- she doesn't want to sound too eager that will scare her off, but there are so many things she is curious about. And she wonders how much does Alexa actually know about, is it way more than her own knowledge or just a bit more than what she already knew. "So for vampyres, is it true that they cannot be exposed under the sunlight for they will burn underneath?" She starts off carefully with a rather light question, eyes looking at the woman across her as she waits for her answer.
❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ 3 years ago
@❛ yoorim heo Alexa knew exactly how this was going to go. Yoorim would ask her questions and Alexa would answer them. Yoorim was a nice girl... a nice human girl. Alexa knew that humans were gullible and if you were to say the right thing at just the right moments then they'd believe it. She was an elder vampire and a part of the council, but the humans didn't know that... they thought she was just a jewelry store owner, and she wanted the humans to keep on thinking that. She had finally made it to the library that evening and saw Yoorim. "Hey Yoorim." She said with a smile. "So, have you got your questions? I've got a date in a couple hours. You know me, I'm always busy." Alexa said with a smile after hugging her and sitting down.
❛ yoorim heo 3 years ago
@❛ alexa demie ᵉˡᵈᵉʳ Yoorim is not one to write without references. Despite her knowledge accumulated over the years regarding vampyres, what's on the internet is still limited to a certain extent. Bloodthirst, immortality, those are the ones that she had been using over the few stories she worked on, but there are certainly more about the species to be dugged out and put into good use. So that didn't take long for the writer to realize she needs experts to provide her information that she needs, someone who can provide her insights about them, namely Alexa.

Once they have decided to meet up in the library, Yoorim arrived early with all her belongings and sets up her laptop. She has picked a seat facing the entrance so that she can easily notice anyone coming in, and once the laptop screen lights up into the familiar interface she clicks to open the notepad application and starts to type in her questions so that she doesn't miss any. It is not a chance that you can get often with people like Alexa, you know.

@❛ sam kiszka A rather sunny autumn sliding through the rusty tree leaves, and then invading the enormous library windows; the natural illumination that warmed up the redolent scent of the old papers, inked upon the yellowish texture. The two blue oceans moved from side to side while following word by word. The power the words held caused shivers gallop down her spine. When the orbs grew watery, she blinked fast and placed the red leather item onto the wooden table, next to her cup of coffee, and why was it even called coffee when there was mainly milk, that's how she preferred her drink to be, and an untouched tangerine.

What was this sudden impulse of getting up from her chair and wandering through the dusty library shelves? Maybe just looking for a potential book to read. The tangerine fits perfectly in her palms, offering the fruit the heat of her system. For some reason, she loved the authors that filled her world with magic and fantasy, a daydreamer absorbed by reckless imagination. She could count the books she didn't read rather than the ones she read because they were thousands. However, instead of looking for another book, she found an enigmatic presence lost between the shelves, and then her attention fell onto the cover of the work he was holding.

She wasn't the definition of brave, she wasn't an introvert either, just didn't find it appropriate to approach strangers; but it was a piece of her soul he was holding. Graceful steps brought the young lady closer to the slender statue whose eyes were locked to the pages. "Do you enjoy it?" tranquil voice fought the same tranquil atmosphere of the room, attempting to tug the corners of her peach brims.
❛ sam kiszka [A] 3 years ago
@❛ sabrina carpenter With a backpack slung loosely over his right shoulder, Samuel's right hand elevates to remove his sunglasses from his visage upon stepping into the library, just as he had nearly every day before this one. It'd been a goal to read through each and every historical book there was within the confinement of this building, never once bringing home a book to leave upon his nightstand. Being here, physically, was a motivation to actually read the book.

Today seemed to be no different, his footing roaming along different parts of the library before he settles within the historical section for the remainder of the day. He decides to take a route he'd yet to take before, the tips of his fingers running over the binding of books within the young adult section. It's not a genre he'd normally read, in fact it's one he lacked complete interest for, but they can't be /that/ bad, right? Cheesy romance novels weren't necessarily his taste, but his interest is piqued upon the cover of one of the books. He grabs at it, shoulder slumping against the shelf as his eyes read the reviews on the back. Samuel, indeed, judges a book by it's cover. His slender fingers begin to flip through it, landing at a random page to begin reading.
