@- ❛ ʜ ❜:cassian faye。⁰³ ( H ) mal could not get enough of him. he wondered if this was how it felt like to be addicted to something – he thought of addiction only in the form of a substance. but perhaps this adrenaline provided a more efficient addiction, one that engulfed his heart and almost made him choke. he looked at cassian, really looked at him – not through, not filtered or covered by whatever haze love enjoyed creating for foolish lovers. mal knew he was not perfect, but his imperfections were beautiful – perhaps they were the source of his addiction. how pretty his lips looked even chapped, how soft his skin felt even unshaved, and how beautiful all of his scars were. mal really saw him, even when he was submerged in colour and shapes upon shapes – he was still unapologetically cassian. his lips tugged into a smile at the silly response, but mal understood it. it was not like mal would have reacted better – he was glad he did not have to. he cupped cassian’s cheeks and caressed them with his thumbs. “you are so peculiar, cassian,” he moved closer, and wrapped his arms around the hufflepuff’s body, he wanted to be his anchor even if he did not say so. “but peculiar suits you best,” mal smiled and rested his forehead briefly against cassian’s, humming softly.

and then, in a fashion that only he could have invented, and with an energy that only someone like him could muster, he pulled cassian down. and it was not a gentle motion, in fact, were he not the one falling first, cassian would have probably gotten injured. mal was incredibly silly, especially when he was so happy – and overwhelmed, in the best way possible. he landed on his back, losing his breath for a few seconds. and then, the pain took charge. but mal was too happy to mind it much, even if he winced when he moved. “it looked better in my head, I swear,” he chuckled shortly, then looked at cassian. he took most of his pain away, or mal just forgot about it. “at least now I know you look good on top of me. however, the bruises on my back will not be too y. I am pretty sure I landed on a rock--- !” mal did not curse. absolutely not. at least not with vulgar words like ‘’. not unless he really had to. and watching a centipede crawl towards him and cassian was the right time to curse out loud. “ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, ew, ew get it away from me! we were having a moment, how rude of you! casser les coquilles!” he almost whined, he was very close to bringing out his hidden dictionary of terrible curses he saved for this occasion alone. “I am sorry, bébé. I hate centipedes. and right when I was about to kiss you! I am so mad at this bloody ugly thing. get lost!” he frowned at the insect, and made sure he kept the distance. he did not want to risk touching it.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:mirinae son。⁰¹ if someone had told ‘past bradley’ that he’d be practicing quidditch during his precious free time, he would’ve laughed at their face and called them a delusional prat. yet here bradley was, standing in the middle of the pitch with his broom in one hand and the beater bat in the other. he stared down in disdain at the opened quidditch trunk, inside a fidgeting bludger trying to break free of its restraints. why was he here again? oh right, because the slytherin team captain had the bloody nerve to say that his aim was off. normally, he shrugged off the criticism mostly because it revolved around his effort (or lack thereof). but to come for his talent? now that was a load of bollocks because one) his aim was great since he always managed to whack a bludger straight towards an opposing player or two in every match, and two) when he committed bumphing that one time, it did prevent the hufflepuff team from gaining a point that was well worth risking the safety of the audience (in his opinion). apparently, no one else thought the same…

the slytherin first-year was about to release the bludger when he noticed something—correction, /someone/—clad in blue, flying in the sky. “well, well, well,” he said out loud to no one in particular, a smirk on his face. “maybe practice won’t be such a bore after all.” this surprise provided a great opportunity to gather intel about the opposing house. he could either watch the player from the distance /or/ he could mess around with her enough to make her fumble. obviously, he went with the latter. after mounting his broom, Bradley released the enchanted iron ball from its restraints and watched it shoot up into the air. he kicked off the ground and started chasing after it. just as the bludger turned its course back at him, he hit it with all his might, aiming it at the Ravenclaw. “uh oh,” he yelled out in fake concern. “the bludger is heading your way~ better think quick before it gets you!”

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:maël clair。⁰² The hands on his cheeks felt cool, a coldness he welcomed to spread through his heated face, the fever might have been an illusion as Mal had not looked at him with no worry, but with adoration and something else that Cassian could not quite decipher. But he had some guesses. A pause before he noticed. There was a quietness in his head. The unusual silence stunned him for seconds. Even if the voices were quiet some days, they would turn hushed but never completely muted. The sounds around him were louder than the ones inside his head, for the first time in such a long time. He had almost forgotten how it feels for his mind to be at peace. Chirping of the birds, buzzing noises that the bees wings made, sound of grass moving when a strong wind passed by to disrupt the order of everything, the sound of their clothes rustling as the arms around his shoulder pulled him closer. Was this how it felt to live in the moment? he wondered, hoping that this moment could last forever. The moment felt like real magic with pure energy encapsulated in everything living or non-living and gravity was only the force that pulled them together to connect their lips and peace was a phantasm of hope he relished in as long as he could.

He heard him over all the new sounds in his ears. Understood it. Felt it, even. No incantation, ritual or love potion would come close to making him feel anything like this. The soft noise he made as a response which was swallowed by the other’s mouth, was embarrassing but he was too happy to care. He had wanted to ask Mal to repeat himself, tell him he loves him more because Cassian did not hear that phrase often, but refrained because he did not want to risk disturbing the flow of things or the blanket of calm and serenity that had seemed to envelop him. He knew Mal was not as verbal when it came to showing his feeling and would rather show his love through actions and touch, hearing him say those words made the hufflepuff boy overjoyed as for his case the affirmation was sometimes needed before his brain could decide to betray him and call it all a dream. or a nightmare. “thank you”, he whispered back, smiling against Mal’s cheek. Humming shortly, he looked at the inviting green grass and looked back at mal. “we should lay down if you’re dizzy. I feel like I’m experiencing a high, I might get dizzy too soon.” he chuckled.

@- ❛ s ❜:bradley chang。⁰¹ 【 03 May, 2 days prior to Ravenclaw vs Slytherin match 】
Mirinae felt like a different person donned in her quidditch gear with her old yet dependable broom in her hand. Being able to actually take part in a team—a chaser at that—rather than a "substitute" ( they let her play but find ways to *never* include her ) she was back home, left a heavy weight on her shoulders. Years of practice manoeuvring between trees alone in a nearby forest near her house, plus the many handball games she got roped into by her sportsman of a father, might have separately sharpened her reflexes and precision but still, she suddenly felt those aren't enough. For the first time, she didn't want to disappoint anyone; the house, the team—including herself. At the same time, she felt butterflies and little zaps electricity at the thought of the upcoming match with Slytherin. Was it excitement? Anticipation? Nervousness? Whatever it was, the feelings she could never fluently express had directed her to the quidditch pitch for an extra individual practice.

The Ravenclaw shook the jitters from her hands then mounted her broom and kicked off the ground. She made a few quick warm up rounds, turning to a blur of blue with her twin tail hair and robe streamed behind her, riding the spring winds, before pulling the broom to a halt. From her height, she noticed a certain individual in green was also present at the pitch. Mirinae had made sure to practice later in the day, in the hour when no one hardly comes. She frowned, unconsciously, at the figure despite knowing there're chances someone from the opposing house might use the pitch with similar intentions. It wasn't as if she could book the entire pitch to herself. At least it looked like he, too, came to practice alone. Maybe, just maybe she can tolerate that much.

@- ❛ ʜ ❜:cassian faye。⁰³ his entire body was caught in a loop of pretty sunshine and beautiful flowers. every gesture cass showed him made his heart beat faster – and with every beat, a new flower rose from the ground and captured their legs. maybe ivy will grow, just like the one in his dreams – or maybe roses will encircle them, their thorns never touching their fair skin. that feeling, the one mal did not want to question, the one he was afraid of – every time he looked into his eyes, he felt it more intensely, he wanted to scream it out loud. but tongue-tied, and with a hurt too deep to explain – he had to bite it back every single time. he resorted to small gestures, and showing cass just how happy he made him. his body was filled with joy – he could barely stand on his feel without falling over, tripping over those roots that cass grew for him, grew for them. cass was safe, he felt safe – he was everything mal could ask for and more. that was why he could not have him – it made little sense, and mal wondered why he refused to accept it so strongly.

he melted in his arms, he became rain – rain of glitter and colour, rain of petals and red. his reds were so beautiful, so pretty, so stunning – mal cupped his cheeks again, there was so much emotion on his lips and in his eyes. it gathered in his throat, he felt nauseous, he felt so sick. it was as if he submerged underwater, his ears filled with his muffled heartbeat. it found a rhythm with him, with his words and with every little thing he did. the way he touched him, looked at him, spoke to him. mal never thought he would get this emotional. he never thought he would have to fight his tears from falling down his cheeks because of how happy he felt. he bit the inside of his cheeks, all his life has been reduced to this moment alone. to the glitter on his cheeks, the little dimples, the soft lips, the petals of poppy and snowdrop that rested on his shoulders, in his hair, on his entire body.

his words sent him into a different dimension. one that was far too abstract for his mind to make sense of, he was overwhelmed. but he listened to them, like a new melody – the only melody he wanted. he knew they were sincere, he felt it. and in this moment of pure bliss and joy, he knew he had to say something too. he knew that words would never suffice, but they were a beginning. he moved closer and rested his arms on cass’ shoulders – his height provided him with the perfect image of a gorgeous cass, whispering those words up at him over and over again. he silenced him, but only just – because he felt his words in his mouth, and most of all, in his chest. his own words fell out of his mouth in his native tongue, because cass brought that out of him – that familiarity, that comfort. “je t’aime aussi,” he only said it once, but he meant it. even if he did not realise he did. he caressed cass’ hair, breathing out – it was a difficult task given cass just trapped every single ounce of oxygen with his lips. “me? how about you? I am so dizzy,” mal chuckled, he felt as though he was spinning, overwhelmed beyond comprehension. but it felt so good, like the best high anyone could ever ask for. he caressed cass’ cheek again, and pulled him closer. he repeated the words in his mind, trying to register them. but he was too happy to understand what they actually meant.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:maël clair。⁰² If the other was to laugh at him or try to silence him, he would have surely regretted yelling out like a fool but even though Mal seemed shy to him, he was also happy and that warmed Cassian’s heart. He was finally doing it right, and could finally bring joy to him instead of pain. It sure took a while, he noted bitterly and bit his lip harshly, reminding himself this was not the right time to scold himself for the past. He smiled shyly when he felt Mal’s eyes on him, he must have been pleased to see his boyfriend in something other than a simple head to toe black outfit even though it was not something extraordinary, it was still light and fit spring’s mood more than what Cassian would wear. He was trying out something new, dressing up more often now that he had Mal’s attention on him. The sun was beaming down on them, caressing his eyelids gently when he mirrored the other by closing his eyes and tilting his head up to the blue sky above. It was as if time had stopped as they embraced on the green fields surrounding Hogwarts and all he could feel was bliss.

For a moment, he was taken by such intense feeling that his hold around the other loosened and his head spun when blinked open his eyes. “glitter? how-.. oh!” he smiled widely at that, his dimples showing. “yes! on merlin! you look beautiful” he cheered and hyped him up as he struck silly poses that somehow could still be perfect enough to be on the cover of famous magazines. Cassian stared at their entwined hands and sighed happily, he felt so overwhelmed and with how affectionate Mal was acting, it did not help. There was a snowdrop tucked behind his ear now and he whined again, laughing breathlessly. This seemed like a scene taken out of his dreams, even the colors did not seem real because of how vibrant they were, and to think he was allowed to have this. To love who he wanted to love..he stepped closer to him until there was no space between them and wrapped his arms around him. “I love you.” he could not help but to say it, over and over again, until his voice grew weaker, along with his knees. “what are you doing to me?” he chuckled, burying his face in the other’s neck, careful to not squish the flower resting on his ear.
- ❛ ʀ ❜:maël clair。⁰² 3 years ago
@- ❛ ʜ ❜:cassian faye。⁰³ he knew cass was not shy, at least not as often as one would think. mal observed that he was far more courageous when provoked, and he definitely kept his promises. it still surprised him that he yelled like that, he could not help but laugh and cover his mouth with his. it was not that he was embarrassed, but in all honesty, mal got a little shy. people were often loud with their admiration for him, but he never really had anyone shout compliments out loud like some little idiot (that said in his mind with a lot of adoration). he was happy, so happy his heart might have exploded – and maybe it did, it was beating so fast. especially when he looked at him, dressed like that, finally bright – like a snowdrop, he rose from the depths of winter and mal /loved/ him for it.

he kept his arms around him, as if that was the only thing worth living for – and it was, at least in this moment. he closed his eyes and enjoyed every single touch, feeling it thrice as warmly and as tenderly. at some point, he opened his eyes, his smile intact and ever so bright. he was still very excited, spring had the ability to bring out a lot of dormant feelings winter tried to keep locked. it was perhaps why he felt most overwhelmed during this time of the year, but also the happiest. especially with him, holding him, keeping him close. “aw, you have glitter on your face too now,” he said with a chuckle, cupping cass’ cheeks to look at his pretty face, admiring his beautiful dimples. when he heard cass’ words, he posed dramatically, flipping his hair, chuckling soon after. he was too happy to stay serious for long, and soon enough he found himself holding cass’ hands – pulling him closer, always closer. he took the snowdrop and put it behind cass’ ear, running his thumb over his temple softly. “finally, it is where it belongs. with you,” the implication of the phrase flew right out of mal’s mind. in this state he could say about anything, really meaning it every time.

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:maël clair。⁰² His cheeks hurt from smiling the entire second half of the quidditch practice, had tried to school his face into a neutral expression but of course, his teammates were observant and saw right through his weak attempt - or he had been transparent as usual and easy to read. Either way, they had and asked questions about who he was texting with such a goofy smile. The confused look some of them gave when he shyly mentioned the name of his lover, was understandable but annoying nonetheless. "we're together..what we have going on is something special." Thankfully they had gotten the hint to not push him too much and left him behind outside the pitch after practice, following the short explanation that he was waiting for that special someone. Playing with the sleeve of his white jacket, he paced around while reading Mal’s latest text message.

If the contagious excitement he got from reading Mal's messages made him happy, seeing the tall and broad figure from far away sprinting across the green field toward him made the urge to bounce up and down in pure joy even worse. He waited with wide open arms and a bright grin on his face to welcome the younger. He wondered how it was possible to miss someone so much even though they met frequently. "my sunshine! you look beautiful! the sun rose twice today!" Cassian was basically shouting on top of his lungs while chuckling. He only cared about his voice reaching one person, no one else mattered besides him and his happiness was the most important thing. The only thing coming close to being most important is having those beautiful lips against his and he did not have to wait too long to get what every fiber of his being wanted. Grounding his legs as was asked, prepared to catch him when Mal jumped in his embrace. As their bodies collided, he rubbed his face against the soft cheeks and the sharp jawline, feeling every inch of Mal’s face with his own. “let me see you,” he leaned embarrassed over his own reaction.
- ❛ ʀ ❜:maël clair。⁰² 3 years ago
@- ❛ ʜ ❜:cassian faye。⁰³ there was a surge of happiness and excitement running through his veins – spring was there! not entirely, the weather told him so. but he could not help his sudden boost of everything good – he wanted to share it with everyone he cared about. however, when he found the snowdrop, the thought of cass could simply not leave his mind. the flower was him – with its sweet-fresh scent, soft white petals, movement in the wind, and everything else it represented: purity, kindness, the first of everything. mal unconsciously bit his lip to stop himself from smiling too much, it was just one of those kind of days. he dressed up nicely, in pale colours after weeks of sporting all-black outfits. he even put some glitter on his face, glitter he knew will stick to cass’ cheeks as if it was always meant to be there (and it was).

he rushed to the quidditch pitch once he was out of class, he almost fell over his own feet in his excitement and ended up laughing at his clumsiness. perhaps he looked a little odd, a little insane – he could care less. he found one snowdrop on the way and picked it up – yes, he already left a few on cass’ pillow, but he wanted one for his hair too. the closer he got to the pitch, the louder his heart beat in his chest – a mixture of excitement, adrenaline and nervousness. the latter a little less explained – mal did not know himself. once he saw cass, he sprinted towards him, thanking his long legs and running exercises. he did not hesitate to fling his arms around cass, because that was where he belonged (and where he wanted to be). mal gave him his breath, closing his eyes in the process – it was all his, he was all his. mal hoped he felt it too – the way all reason, all thought slipped away from him. and all that was left was cass – everything cass.
- ❛ ʀ ❜:maël clair。⁰² 3 years ago
@- ❛ s ❜:braeden laclaire。⁰⁴ there was no reason for him to be at the quidditch pitch so late in the day. he was not part of the team, and he was certainly not an advocate for flying in winter. still, he enjoyed taking walks there, occasionally meeting the people who were practicing. it would calm his mind a little, especially since recently there have been a lot of unnecessary thoughts resurfacing. ever since the dementor attack, he has been in a nostalgic-melancholic state of mind. it did not help that he was busy and could not even go out with his close friends, or anyone as a matter of fact. he found himself slipping into past bad habits, one being smoking.

but he was not out to do that, even if he wanted to. he was picking the skin around his fingers to hold himself back from smoking again, he did not want to get addicted. he promised himself he will stop as soon as his mind returns to its usual chaotic, but contained energy. he walked on the pitch, and was surprised there was still someone practicing. he saw him only barely, he was pretty far away. but he recognised him nevertheless. there was a pit in his throat, he avoided an interaction for so long. he was afraid the boy hated him for what happened in the past, he never confronted him about it. he was not even sure he remembered.

his weakened body floating a little aimlessly on the pitch alerted mal. he grabbed one of the practice brooms, and impulsively hopped on to come to the other’s aid. before he knew, he saw a ball heading straight for the boy. mal tried his best to reach him before an impact, and pulled his wand out for a spell. “arresto momentum!” he said out loud, panting just a little because of the sudden adrenaline rush. his long hair fell in his eyes because of the wind, so he could barely even see anything. “are you alright? you really should not close your eyes with the practice balls flying around!”

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:hanami inazuma。⁰³ With a courageous smile that is surely commonplace upon the visage of a Gryffindor, Genevieve nods whilst riding her broom around in small circles in order to not remain stationary. "I like risk." Genevieve had always been an adrenaline seeker, hence she had been placed into her house, but her risk-seeking tendencies could often border along the line of recklessness. Not that she minded after all, bones could heal but memories never disappeared. Her dark eyebrows are furrowed into that of a concentrated expression, following the instructions and movements of the older Gryffindor, who seemed to very much take on the persona of a mentor in the moment. Gen's tongue darts out the slightest at the corner of her lip, a habit of her's when focusing. Her hands grip tightly onto the broomstick, knuckles turning white as she follows along. "Wow," she says out in amazement. "I've never seen anyone fly like you do! At least, not in the States."

The sun had set and the pitch was lit only by the moonlight and was mostly silent, with the exception of the wooshes from a certain Slytherin that hadn’t stopped flying since the early afternoon. Although Slytherin had ended practice hours ago, Braeden, who’d just become the team’s newest keeper continue to run drills alone. He’d previously played in Beauxbaton’s quidditch league during his time there but realized quickly that Hogwarts students took the sport much more seriously than their French counterparts. The coming weekend was to be his first game and during the week’s practices and although his flying abilities wouldn’t be considered bad, they definitely lacked in comparison to some of his teammates.

The quaffle had been charmed to randomly loop around field before making for one of the three goal posts, simulating real game play. It wasn’t perfect, but it would have to do for now.
“Putain de merde!” The Slytherin cussed out loud. The quaffle had flown past him and straight through the hoop, again. The Slytherin pulls his broom to a stop, suspending himself just above the middle goal post, ignoring the quaffle that was still flying around the pitch. Exhausted both mentally and physically, he closes his eyes, tilting his head back to soak in the moonlight. He sighed out loud, debating whether to call it a night, still not entirely satisfied with the day’s progress.

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:genevieve mcallister。⁰¹ "Sure! I can teach you!" Hanami smiles and went back to get her bag, "I could teach you a few tricks but some are very risky to do, like flying upside down." She told her before getting her getting her water jug to drink water before looking at the first year. "Well, I can teach you the drill. It is easy but keep in mind that you have to stabilized your speed with the speed of your enemy before you can go in circles around them." Then she gets her broom again before riding it again. "Come, I'll show you again. You go flying at stationary position before I circle around you." She instructed before she kicks the ground again and flies, expecting the others to follow. When the other starts flying in a stationary position, Hanami slows down her speed to match with hers before looking at her. "Now, you have to tilt your broom up a bit to make it go on top of your enemy like this--" she tilted up her broom and the broom goes up to get above of the other, "Then, tilt your broom again to the right so you can go bottom--" She did the vice versa and goes bottom of the other before going back to the normal position. "It's like driving a car. But much easier than driving a car." She chuckles at the other.

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:hanami inazuma。⁰³ "Mahoutokoro," the younger Gryffindor repeats, simply to the feel the movement on her tongue, one which feels foreign to her natural dialect. "Cool." It seemed that the both of them were transfer students, new to Hogwarts, which in their eyes must have seemed like an entire new world to them. She watches, a joyful laugh escaping her tiers without hesitation as the older student swings upside down in front of Genevieve's field of vision. She attempts to follow the elder, leading her broom around the court easily as the wind kisses her skin. Though Genevieve had considered herself to be quite well-versed with her broom, it was clear Hanami was much more experienced than her. "Teach me!" Carefully, she attempts to follow her movements.

"Mhm," came Valentine's hum of agreement as the smaller male continued to speak. Winning was nice.. he assumed. Not that he had never won anything before, he just found the excitement or disappointment from the game often left his system within 20 minutes. In a way, he wish he could feel for the students that took this game so seriously; at the same time, he was glad he didn't.

The male blinked again at the mention that Henri was glad he was here, trying to keep his vision up with the excitement and pace he was already moving at. Something tells him that this is gonna be a long practice, and he wasn't sure if he minded or not yet. Odd. "Don't waste all your energy in one space," Valentine half joked, half spoke seriously. "I'm tired from just watching you do that."

Glancing around their space and taking his bottom lip between his teeth, he wondered if he even had the confidence to explain to the other what his worry was when he played. With a quick inhale, the boy his broom and moved forward at a slow pace, silently beckoning for the other to follow.

Then she gripped tightly to her broom and smiled at the first year, "Watch this!" Hanami then takes over her broom and starts to turn herself upside down as she was on top of Genevieve's position. "I'm upside down!" She chuckles and goes back to her normal position before they start to go down the ground for a break. "I created my own tricks called the 'Inazuma Drill' where you can go merry go round around the enemies to distract him until you get a quaffle, the last one was from my former captain back in Mahoutokoro. @- ❛ ɢ ❜:hanami inazuma。⁰³ “Former school? Where’d you go before?” What school did she attend that taught them how to fly like /that/? Admittedly, Genevieve watches with amazement evident in her face as the older Gryffindor witch begins to fly literal circles around her. It was clear that though Genevieve had natural talent in flying, her superior was much more well-versed and experienced. “Woah,” she says aloud, eyes wide in the cold winter sky. “Yeah, show me!” She exclaims in awe, beginning to fly from where she had remained stationary. “How do you do that?”

Hanami smiled at Genevieve before she paced herself with her broom faster before she starts slowing down to level the other's speed. The 3rd year smiled and starts to swirl her broom around the other, making almost like a drill around the other chaser before she sped up forward then chuckles, "Never seen that before?" She smiled before catching a quaffle. "Wanna see another trick?" She asked Genevieve while still maneuvering their brooms in the air.

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:hanami inazuma。⁰³ “Mandrake problem…” She repeats incredulously, dark eyebrows furrowed into her forehead. Before she can even have the time to be annoyed, ticked by the fact that she had ran out here from the Gryffindor tower in her full Quidditch gear in the snow whilst thinking that she had been running late, she boasts an ecstatic smile as her older teammate begins to mount her broom, her words sounding like a challenge. Without a second thought, Genevieve swings her leg over the length of her broom and begins to kick herself into the air, adrenaline surging through her veins. It was something she felt the very first time she flew, and every time since—that she was made for this, that her very soul and being was meant to fly. She chases behind Hanami with a boisterous laugh, which reverberates through the air. “I’ve been flying for years! I don’t know what more tricks I can learn,” she chuckles, but follows nonetheless.

Hanami is so excited about the practice and wears her flying goggles on before riding her broom and kicks off the ground to hover her broom in the air. She looked at Genevieve with a smile, "Come on, I'll show you some few tricks!" she told her before she starts to fly off, expecting the other to follow.

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:hanami inazuma。⁰³ Her eyes land on another player standing somewhere over on the court, and she nods slowly. This is her first year playing for Hogwarts, but she’s grown her passion and skill for Quidditch since her secondary days in Ilvermorny. The court is much larger here than in the States, thus Genevieve is not surprised she had missed the appearance of another team member. “Genevieve,” she greets back, pulling her broom along as she walks over to the person who had greeted her. “First year. I thought I was late… where is everyone?” She asks, eyebrow cocked curiously. “It’s almost over time, already.”

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:genevieve mcallister。⁰¹ Hanami has been always in time since the captain of their quidditch team said he might deduct their house points for possible tardiness on one of them. Of course, she became punctual as the way she is because of it, she had set her alarms and schedules of their quidditch practice in her phone and always bring their brooms. Good thing, her sister had brought her broom back from Mahoutokoro so that she won't be able to borrow the ones inside the locker rooms. She looked at the time on her watch before she saw another first year on their team, she must be new, and one of the new chasers in their team. Hanami smiled at the 1st year, "Seems you're just in time, the captain isn't here yet." She greeted her. "I'm Hanami, 3rd year student."

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:hanami inazuma。⁰³ Quidditch gear is heavy against her body, but over the years, Genevieve has learned the strength to carry it. For some reason, there had been a meeting called for the team today, though there had been little information alongside the call. She carries her broom in her hand as she jogs lightly to the Quidditch pitch, running a few minutes late—punctuality had never been her strong point. Her dark tresses are tied up in a high ponytail which swings back and forth, similarly to that of a metronome, as she runs, but nevertheless: she is still late, and the captain will kill her. But when she arrives, chest heaving from how she had ran from her dorm with such gear and her broom, the pitch is empty. Her eyebrows furrow—had she misread the time?

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:valentine fluor。⁰³ ( H ) “A lot of people playing quidditch do that,” Henri admitted and nodded. “I’m chill with it but I don’t mind winning. It’s nice to win, so who doesn’t like to win?” He laughed softly. He knew a few from the Ravenclaw team and he did remember how badly they had taken their last loss so yes, Valentine had quite a few people in their team that ate, breathed and slept quidditch, literally. He chuckled softly and watched the other.

“I think that’s all we can do. Training and doing our best. But we cannot forget it is still a game.” Henri liked games, a lot, however losing was something that was part of it and if he lost without much damage it was fine. However one time they had lost a game and ended up with half of their players in the hospital wing because of a damn storm and he still hated that to this date. It was supposed to be fun but damn it, that had been scary. Luckily after that game quidditch was not allowed on extremely stormy days anymore. Lucky he had not fallen of his damn broom.

A grin was seen on Henri and hummed. “Oh, that’s great,” he said and flew two loops around Valentine. “It’s a lot more fun than being alone,” he then hummed and tilted his head a bit. “Ah, yeah, I get it. Many prefer that but I always get bored when I’m alone.” He pouted a bit and looked at the other. “So I am glad you came here today!”

@- ❛ ʜ ❜:henri knight。⁰⁴ Valentine shook his head at the joke, not exactly understanding what he could've said to trigger that response at first, but once he did he chewed on his bottom lip briefly to keep in a laugh. Though the other was only joking, flirting was still a very foreign concept to him. It didn't make him uncomfortable, no, not at all. He just hadn't had much practice with reacting to the sweet words and praise of others.

"A lot of the people on our teams eat breathe and sleep quidditch. I can only imagine how bad they take it when their team loses." Just the thought was enough to give him the chills, but he restrained himself and instead diverted his attention to across the quidditch pitch. A few other players of various teams were coming out, which he could only assume was for the same reason Henri and himself were out here; to practice. "But, yes. Trying our best is all that matters, I suppose," his chocolate orbs turned back to study the other male again.

"Help me?" The sentence came out as something comparable to curt confusion, if such a thing even existed. Yet, what could quickly distinguish which of the other he was feeling was the genuine surprise written all over his facial features. A person of the opposite team wanted to help him. It was suspicious, but they were friends. Friends. Now, Valentine was looking through him, internally having a debate with himself for a few more seconds. Henri seemed trustworthy enough; what's was the worst that could happen? His mind flooded with a million answers to that question.

"Uh, yeah. If you want to help me you can," he agreed, but sounded more uncertain than anything else. "Sorry, kinda used to figuring things out on my own."

@- ❛ ʀ ❜:valentine fluor。⁰³ ( H ) (I’m okay! December has me busy and out of my normal sleeping schedule and ugh. How are you? <3)

“Oh, I definitely am a fine young man,” Henri joked and winked to Valentine, maybe flirting a little bit too much but that was just who he was. He grinned at him, noticing how the other’s ears heated up but not commenting on it. “But yeah, I get it. When I think I’m alone I’m all over the place with my thoughts.” He chuckled softly.

A soft chuckle left Henri’s lips and he looked at Valentine. “True, but then again the other teams are really good too. I’ve seen them train as well and, man, I hope they will not kick me from my broom.” He huffed, of course joking, but he had actually seen the Ravenclaws train before and one of them had made a rather beautiful – read: not so nice – encounter with a bludger and man, that must have hurt like . He had yet to do that, but he was not a beater for fun after all. “So let’s just do our best and win, right?”

Curiously he listened to Valentine and then blinked a little surprised. “Why would I use it against you? I could help you instead,” he offered, a bright grin on his lips while he watched the other curiously. “Unless you don’t want help, of course. I get that, some things are of sensitive nature.”

@- ❛ ɢ ❜:mason finley。⁰³ The male's response comes to no surprise to her, not especially when he held the advantage. He was, after all, a veteran in Quidditch compared to she, who, had only joined recently to appease her father. Perhaps she could learn a few things from Mason Finley today, though she was far too prideful to ask for lessons. Especially today, when she had taken it upon herself to express confidence in her skill, when she knew full well that this man could beat her in his sleep. Regardless, her demeanor doesn't shift, the corner of her lips curling into a coy smirk. Tucking the broom in between her legs, she readies herself for flight, and awaiting his signal. "Go ahead."
