/the plane goes through some very minor turbulence and I almost scream, my expression contorting into one of terror as my legs curl defensively towards my body; the tiny shudder of the plane leaves as fast as it came, reducing me to feeling completely and utterly humiliated by my excessive knee-jerk reaction
/my heart is still racing at a million miles per hour/
/quickly takes the pills and swallows them

/belatedly remembers about the gum, unravels one stick and pops it in my mouth as fast as inhumanly possible so I continue to pretend Im not holding onto the arm rests in case this thing falls apart/
/glances over at you, then out the window and in air sharply, my eyes widening at how high we are over the ground/
/a flight attend notices my face paling and comes over/
Are you alright? We have some medicine in stock for people who feel uncomfortable flying. /they ask with a kind smile/
