@✧ helios Hades peered away for a second before returning the snort and brief look with pursed lips and knitted brows. "I'd like to think that it is best to experience things in the correct way possible. Besides," he paused, sharing the same volume with the other deity. "Where would the fun be if I don't enjoy it to the fullest, right?" A light stumble followed after as his foot brushed against another's leg as they trudged towards the middle of the dancing floor, and Hades quickly squeezed his friend's hand, catching himself from falling face first. When Helios stopped, he stopped. When the deity started bopping his head, Hades followed, swaying his build forward and backward, eyes still on the other, afraid to be swept away by the crowd that seemed to grow in energy as the night became older.

@✧ hades helios snorts as he turned slightly around to give hades a brief but telling look. "you're treating this like some assignment. well, not all of us have to, but it certainly helps." he yells as the music around them gets increasing louder the deeper they progressed into the crowd. "this should be a good enough spot. not too crowded, i think." despite a more thoughtful approach to how he usually goes about dancing in the club, it was still a bit overwhelming as clubgoers danced on top of each other. it wouldn't surprise him in the slightest if they were also mixing alcohol with a little something extra. he turned right around to pat him on the shoulder. "i'm sure you know how to dance. just relax and get into the music." he did a little bop of his head as a way to ease himself into the music, and not long after, his body entirely swayed along, gradually getting into it.

@✧ helios the deity paused, blinking at the question thrown at him. ". . . and does everyone has to be tipsy enough to start dancing? is that some sort of a requirement?" he pondered, staring at helios for a bit of an explanation. he wasn't all that confident now whether he was doing this in the right way. his train of thought skidded to a stop at the feel of a hand around his arm, tugging him to the dance floor. hades lowered his upper torso at the impact of hel's arm over his shoulder, and he quickly downcasted his gaze. well, he wasn't so sure where to look at now as everyone was practically sizzling up against one another.

@✧ hades helios felt a nice comforting heat once he drank the rest of his shot, soon setting the glass down on the bar. he blinked a few times at the question but still proceeded to answer with the confidence he's well-accustomed to. "well, are you tipsy enough to dance?" he shrugged briefly before grabbing hades' arm, not really waiting for his answer. it wasn't a fun night out if they weren't going to dance, after all. "we can always get more drinks later! come on then!" he chuckled as he draped his arm over his shoulder. the dance floor was packed with people so he wanted to make sure he was following right behind him, soon making way to the central hub of the nightlife.

@✧ helios hades sent the other a small glance as he slowly brought the glass lower from his lips. he had hoped he did the steps right. and well, from the other’s expression, it seemed like he didn’t mess up too much. “so,” hades paused, putting the glass back on the counter. “what’s next?” well, it couldn’t be that the nightlife helios always bragged about would only just be drinking shots from the glass. and he didn’t come to only feel like drinking drinks that tasted like warm cough drops. it should be a full experience, and then, he’ll decide if he was ever coming back.

@✧ hades helios absentmindedly watched hades go through the steps eagerly while he tried his best to stabilize his shot glass and prevent any opportunity for any further spillage to drip onto the club floor. he had full confidence he'd be able to figure out the mistake or at least take hints through his glances shifting from hades to his glass. once he got the memo, his smile widened as they clank their drinks together and went straight ahead with the steps as his friend gulped the alcohol down. although they were a bit offbeat and imperfect, it was still fun to educate his friend with his interests. maybe this won't be a one-time thing, after all.

@✧ helios With his lips pulled into a thin, firm line, Hades gave Helios a nod. It wasn’t all that hard, he told himself. Squinting his eyes, he picked the glass in between his fingers as he clanked it onto the counter before lifting it close to his lips. A small look of bewilderment followed after when he realized it wasn’t the right step. Hades quickly tugged the glass away and held it close to Helios’ glass. “Cheers!” His voice inevitably grew deeper as he raised the glass higher before gulping down the warm liquid.

@✧ hades helios watched his pal motion through the steps carefully as the concern of his face soon melted away to reveal a satisfied grin, pleased with the results. "that's right! so after clanking it on the counter, we drink it whole. i don't know if i was clear on that or not but only one way to find out, i guess." his gaze wandered back to his glass, fingers pinching it securely as he lifted it between them. "should we try it then? ready?" he shifted his glass forward to indicate that he was, overzealously in fact, but he still minded to steady his pace before they went through the rest of the steps. "cheers!"

@✧ helios Hades gave the other a slight nod, gaze trained on every single swift twirl of Helios’ wrist as the deity picked up the shot glass only to clank it on the counter before raising it to his chest. And the same gaze followed straight up to the other’s face. The taller male leaned away for a few seconds, blinking as he tried to make sense of the set of actions shown. Then, he pinched the glass as well, a little stronger, before lifting it once, setting it back down on the counter with a slight clank. Slowly, he raised it to his chest, raising a brow at his friend for confirmation. “And am I doing this right, Hel?”

@✧ hades right, after watching hades take that shot without precautions, helios forgot for a brief second that his friend was, in fact, a drinking novice. "yes! since it's your first time out, i wanted to do a little cheers." he explained with a wave of fists swaying back and forth. "anyway, we got a second chance so we'll do it properly this time." he added as he watched the bartender fill their shot glasses in front of them with some spillage but, otherwise, neatly lined perfectly beside each other. "like this." he pinched the glass, lifting it for a second, clanked it once on the counter, then finally raised to by his chest. "after cheers-ing, we do this and then drink. did you get that or should i show you again?" he looked upwards with caution and a brow rising.

@✧ helios What was there to do with drinking alcohol and dancing that made anyone feel like they have lived a little? But he didn’t dare to say a word back to Helios. Opinions may differ and he wasn’t necessarily here to judge but it was more to observe. So, Hades gnawed down on his lower lip, lowering his gaze after receiving that much needed little scolding from his friend. Turning his head to his side, he looked at Helios. “You wanted to do the cheers-thing? With me?” Hades stared at the deity, eyes wide and bright. Perhaps, it was a bit too much to be surprised, but it was unexpected as there was no occasion to be cheering for. “Then… shall we cheers?” Hades asked, taking a filled glass shot and raising it in his hand.

@✧ hades the last bit of his sentence cycled around helio's mind, tormenting him as he pulled himself back, his perplexion accurately reflected through his furrowed brows and mouth growing agape. "you got to learn to relax. i'm not trying to get you drunk, just to live a little." he wanted to oh-so badly roll his eyes but he calmed his temper as soon as the drink was splayed in front of them, distracting his short fuse for a moment. "these are tequila shots..." he squinted as one of the shots disappeared, only to find it in his friend's grasps and quickly consumed without hesitation, with helios soon following suit. "jeez, you couldn't have waited to cheers?" he blubbered with a soft pout before signaling the bartender for more.

@✧ helios Hades stared at the deity, easily reading through his body language. Helios was starting to buy time, but what, he couldn’t properly pinpoint. His gaze traveled to the empty glasses of theirs at the bar before Hades turned back his focus to Helios. He furrowed his brows at the other’s words. “Are you seriously teasing me in the middle of trying to get me drunk?” Hades wasn’t so sure what he should reply to that, keeping quiet as he leaned against the bar, waiting for their glasses to be filled once more. “And how about this one? What’s the name?” He didn’t wait for the reply, fingers hasty as he picked up his refilled glass and downed the content. Hades reeled away a little from the bar, placing the cup down and swallowing every bit of saliva to compensate for the burning feeling in his throat and the bitter taste in his mouth.

@✧ hades helios hummed to himself, uncertain if he was willing to risk jumping straight into the next step with hades' questionable tolerance in mind. he didn't want to hastily decide, just imagining carrying him around almost physically ached his few muscles, so he took a moment to rethink his options. just briefly. he thought back to an article that explained that height mattered with tolerance, the shorter the smaller one's tolerance was; even though he was the primary example of the opposite effect, he still went with it. "actually, i just wanted to see if you'd walk in a straight line for me. i didn't think you'd actually do it." he snickered. "i have full faith you'll be able to handle a few more drinks! just so you know, the next ones are going to hurt your throat way worse. if you aren't up for that, just let me know." despite giving him the choice, he still went ahead and ordered the drinks for them, just so the other god can see what he'd be getting into. no pressure or anything.

@✧ helios Hades turned his head away, expression bitter as he swallowed down the remnants of the liquid and its feeling in his mouth. He had never liked the taste of cough syrup or any liquid medicine. It, too, made him want to call the bartender to give him a glass of water. He quickly faced Helios once more; expression softened at the other’s words. Shaking his head, Hades mouthed a no. “When will I know if the drinks are doing anything towards me? Do I have to wait for a few minutes?” Furrowing his brows, Hades shook his head. “No, I don’t feel dizzy.” Then, Hades proceeded to walk forward, physically capable of doing it in a straight line before turning back to be by Helios’ side. “I’m still fine, I guess.”

@✧ hades frankly, helios couldn't make up his mind whether or not the cough syrup bit was a compliment or not. regardless, he still took it as a positive sign. he drank away the last remnants of his own drink and set it aside in time to hear his question. it took him by surprise. maybe hades is much more fun than he initially thought. "hold it, tiger! since it's your first time out and all, i need to know whether this drink is doing anything to you. do you feel dizzy at all? can you walk in a straight enough line?" he softly knocked his head to the side. normally he'd be all for it but he'd hate to lug around a 6-foot man around so safety precautions are a must in this kind of situation.

@✧ helios Hades’ gaze traveled down to his friend’s legs, noticing the bounce in his steps before he quickly averted his eyes away. Helios’ eyes on him were starting to feel overwhelming, and wherever he looked at, the sight of cups, filled and half-filled, came into his view. Hades threw his head back as he gulped down the liquid, ignoring the burning sensation trickling down his throat. Scrunching his nose, he placed the cup back on the bar before turning to the god of the sun. “It tastes like cough syrup.” He replied, ignoring the playful pokes to his chest. "Now, what's next?"

@✧ hades despite his strong desire to rush down some drinks and throw himself on the dance floor, helios minded his manners as he waited for the drinks to be made. although, he couldn't mask his impatience as his fingers tapped relentlessly against the marble surface. once the drinks were presented in front of them, he slid the drink closer to his friend for easier accessibility. it wasn't like he was rushing, oh no. "drink up, buddy! it'll make the night run a lot smoother." he encouraged as he watched intently at him sipping away his drink. "so how was it? pretty tasty, hm?" he asked, softly poking at the god's chest, as his eagerness simply can't be contained.

@✧ helios Hades shared the same look as the other deity standing in front of him but didn’t mirror Helios’ confident demeanor. His shoulders remained hunched before he found himself startled at the other’s voice. He was not quite sure which sentence he should be focusing on in the first place. Should he express his disdain that Heli thought he still had much to learn? He had learned enough, and that was including knowledge of alcohol in Chemistry. His brows furrowed deeper, reluctant to trust Helios with his little mind game. But Hades turned quiet as the bartender filled their cups, and he stared at the liquid before raising it close to his lips.

@✧ hades helios took a brief second to recollect his thoughts, enough to process his friend's innocent question with a blank stare until, finally, he responded. "i'm REALLY fighting the urge to squish your cheeks right now. is that weird to say?" he shook his head and pinched softly at the bridge of his nose. "my dear 'des, you have much to learn." he relaxed his posture while a flabbergasted grin took over the lower half of his face. "you'll find out soon. it'll be your first drink of many tonight so i hope i'm right on the money when it comes to what you like." he blurted before yelling at the bartender with their order, curious to find out.

@✧ helios His cheeks flushed to a deep red at the tease. He had never tried to get his hand on a glass of alcoholic liquid, let alone a shot of it. So, whatever Helios was explaining to him entered his ear briefly. Hades stared at the bar, his eyes following every movement of the man behind the bar, from when he wiped the surface with a cloth to the time he placed two glass shots in front of them. He leans closer to Helios, lowering his eyes away from the bartender, voice a whisper. “What is a daiquiri?”

@✧ hades helios felt absolutely and utterly shocked from his innocent question that he had to hold his jaw from dropping down too low. "you know, you can be kind of cute sometimes. i'm joking, don't hit me!" he laughed. if it wasn't for the music muffling any and all sorts of noise, it would've been heard across the city. "i'm planning to take it slow so to start off, why don't we go for daiquiris? then shots!" he continued and pointed as he awaited his friend's response with anticipation.

@✧ helios Did he make a mistake by lying to Phoebus about attending a study group? Was this what they were trying to say when they said not to lie because Hades could feel that his guts were trying to warn him as his legs grew heavy. Forcing himself to step forward, Hades approached Helios, standing next to him and very much away from everyone else. “What kind of drinks do they sell here?”

@✧ hades helios feasted on the club's visuals. the strobe lights and the crowd of nonsensical noise fit perfectly with his tastes. the bass strengthened his desire to dance but he stopped himself from indulging. today he was going to take it slow... sort of. he turned back with a bright smile. "loosen up, 'des. let's get you a drink and you'll catch up to speed in no time." he nodded as they made their way deeper into the club with helios right up at the forefront, rushing straight to the bar.

@✧ helios He stares at the tumultuous crowd; the beams of lights entering the sockets of his eyes are starting to stir up tears. Hades blinks a few too many times as he follows suit after Helios, stepping into the shadows of the other’s footsteps. What was he expecting when he befriended someone so bright that it burns just to sit next to the deity for a minute too long. “Slow down, please,” Hades calls out, brushing past the clubgoers to reach his dear friend.
