wolves
wolves
bloodline:

☽ pure-blood : these are the original werewolves. through the years, other bloodlines have given them the name purebloods because they are the only ones who have kept their blood clean. unlike other lines, they normally have perfect golden cores that allow them full access to all of their werewolf instincts/abilities—including the ability to shift whenever they want. these wolves also tend to have high ranking positions in the pack (leader, general, second in command, etc.). in order for a pup to be considered a pureblood, both of their parents must be purebloods.

☽ half-blood : originally, half-bloods were created by a person with the wolf gene having relations with a full human. later on, a person who had two half-blood parents would also be considered a half-blood. these wolves have golden cores, although theirs are not as perfectly cultivated as purebloods, which leads them to have limited abilities. it is possible for half-bloods to have high ranking positions in the pack, but most of these wolves tend to want a more peaceful lifestyle. in order for a pup to be considered a half-blood their parents have to be: pureblood x human, half-blood x human, or half-blood x half-blood.

☽ coreless : coreless wolves can occur when the wolf gene skips a generation. these wolves do not possess a golden core, meaning they have no abilities and are forced to shift during the full moon. some folklore tell stories about how core-less born pups are actually the product of two members from different blood lines. in order for a pup to be considered coreless their parents must be: pureblood x half-blood or coreless x coreless. they are rankless members of the pack.

second gender :

☽ alpha : from ancient times, alphas have been known to be the protectors and leaders of the packs. this tradition is still carried to this day. they play a role in the breeding process. alphas can go into ruts, a period in the month when these wolves feel the urge to breed their (or an) omega. the alpha will begin letting off strong pheromones that attract both betas and omegas—although betas aren’t as affected as omegas.

☽ beta : these wolves have no roles in the breeding process, however they can have children. physically these wolves can resemble either omegas or alphas. betas tend to have high ranking positions in the pack and they also have abilities that help them in combat and healing. betas will only have their heat/rut when they are with someone they like, whether it be ually or romantically. betas can both make the babies or carry them.

☽ omega : omegas are wolves that play the other role in breeding. these are the wolves that go into heat—something similar to a rut—where they feel the need to let their alpha breed them. during this time the omega will become more docile and their bodies will release pheromones that smell sickeningly sweet. both alphas and betas will be affected, but betas aren’t as affected as alphas.
