@☼┊wen ronghua ᵃ Pain.
Immense and mind-numbing. A sensation so sinister, the fiery pits of Hell wouldn't be able to compare to the molten sensations rippling from each and every wound that coated Angela's frame in an embrace befitting an Iron Maiden.
It had all been a setup, some sort of ruse to lead her into believing that hunter had successfully completed her mission, her purpose.. but no. One minute, she was efficiently and effectively bisecting the head off a lesser Wen clan member's body and the next, she was on the ground. Five.. no.. Six fully shifted wolves all gnawing and slashing at her as she sat there trying to fend them off. Sure, she was strong, but she wasn't made to withstand that kind of impact. She was built and trained for tactical missions; stealth. Not brute force.
With the memory of what exactly happened swimming in an endless void of nothingness nestled deep in the hazy fog of her thoughts, Angela let out a pained sigh. She could tell she was moving as the sensations riddled her senses, but it wasn't of her own volition as her every inch pulsated with a burning ache. She couldn't even lift a finger at this point, her head clouding as an inky blackness threatened to consume her.
Fighting against the urge to submerge into that sweet serenity, she blinked, her thick lashes fluttering as even that caused an immense amount of strain. Another groan of protest left her split lips, the bruises around her eyes causing splotches in her vision as she tried desperately to gain a sense of her surroundings.
Everything looked so unfamiliar, the lavish interior of the room giving her pause as her brain worked overtime to process every possible scenario, her breath finally hitching as the realization was like another brutal blow to her gullet.
"No.."
