@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ once she bought the flowers, she hums brightly as she walked through the sidewalk. despite what happened earlier, it didn't matter to her at all. it was just a normal day in the restaurant, she kept humming a song while clutching the flowers. but then her phone rings, it was her friend from the same pack, she answered it and stopped by the alley. they found out who killed her sister, yeri frowned as she kept listening, she starts to remember the day her sister was murdered, those memories are still fresh from her mind. the curse starts to take advantage of her negative feelings, it slowly consumes her emotions. "t-thank you, i'll talk t-to you next time." then she hung up before shd aimlessly walks through the dark alley, the bitterness inside her heart starts to emerge when her parents always choose her as the 2nd best. the curse starts to spread, it strikes on her heart as she felt emotional pain but it also feels like someone stabs inside. yeri fell to her knees and clutches her chest tightly with two hands, she couldn't breathe and her sight is getting blurry. she couldn't explain this feeling but it is consuming her bit by bit, yeri groaned and lies on the ground, still feeling in pain as the curse continues to consume her emotional pain, anger and distress.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ the jin beta hadn't actually left the premises. after leaving the restaurant, she stayed close to monitor the other beta. she wasn't one to feel remorse for her actions, especially because she usually chose her hosts with care, unlike her sisters and elders. she made sure there was as little damage as possible for her transfers. most of her victims usually go one without ever knowing their bodies were tinkered with. she was /that/ good. her sharp eyes followed the beta wherever she went, swift movements allowing her to tail the wolf without getting caught.
@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ when yeri still continues to wipe away the remains, the jin beta shoved her hands away from her before paying the bills for her ruined meal. the lan beta sighs, "i hope i could make up to her." then she cleans the table instead. after her shift she gave back the apron and the restaurant's uniform before she bids her colleagues goodbye and went off to the nearest flower shop. she always bought the usual snowdrops for her to visit her deceased sister.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ davika blinked back at yeri, mimicking her clueless reaction. to the other lan beta, it would look like an innocent reaction to the situation at hand. "You.. Can't fix this. I can always buy a new one. You should focus on yourself. " she replied, shoving the beta's hands away. "stop touching me. you've done enough." Davika stood up, towering over the shorter wolf before throwing a couple bills on the table. "I'll take my leave now."
@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ yeri keeps on wiping away the soup remains and the table as well, but then the other beta grabbed her and got into a trance for moment the jin beta chanted, unknowingly getting transferred a curse before she goes back to normal with her panic expression, "i'm really really sorry, miss. i-- what?" yeri looked at the younger beta and blinks. "b-but your clothes are a mess, i can fix that for you." she sighs and calms herself down. "l-look i, i'm really sorry." she apologized once again.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ davika stared down at the lan beta, unimpressed and bored with her reaction. It was the response she had expected. she lifted her chin and tilted her head to the side, before grabbing onto yeri's wrist, her lips parting to chant something under her breath. she could feel the surge of energy leaving her fingers and into the lan beta's skin. he eyes glowed for a brief second before she spoke again. "It's fine. Calm down. You'll wear down your health if you worry so much. "
@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ yeri gasped when the soup was tipped over to the beta's clothes, her eyes widen and the other beta freaks out. she paused for a moment before she gets back to help the beta, "i-i'm so sorry!" she puts down the tray and gets some more tissues for her before she wipes away the food from the other's clothes. "i know im a bit clumsy and it happens all the time but i'm really, really sorry about it!' she kept apologizing as she panics a bit.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ Davika waited patiently, eyes traveling to the door yeri had disappeared into them followed the beta wherever she went. Her lips were downturned into a small, bored frown. When the soup was served in front of her, a small mischievous formed before she tipped over the soup with a flick of her finger and shrieked. "Oh my goddess!! Look what you've done! Do you know how much this cost?" She roared and grabbed a hand full of napkins and dabbing her clothes. "Are you just going to stand there or are you going to help?" She glared up at the beta.
@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ "great! coming right up!" she gleefully smiles once again before she turns away as she goes to the kitchen to tell the chefs the order of the other beta. while the soup is still cooking, she walks back to the tables to get the orders of the other customers inside the small restaurant. when the bell rings, the chef serve the soup on a tray before yeri comes fetched it before she went to the younger beta's table and served the soup for her. "here you go, hot wonton soup for you." yeri smiles at davika as she put the soup down in front of her.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ "Then... wonton soup please. It sounds divine." She smiled up at the beta. Her eyes held the practiced smile until the waiter walked away, smile dropping and eyes darkening. yeri was perfect. the curse wouldn’t put too much on her health considering how chirpy she was.
@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ yeri smiles and takes down her order before she told her about the kinds of soup they're selling, "we have variety of soups, ma'am. we have hot wonton soup, corn soup and shrimp and tofu soup. which one would you like to have?" she asked the other beta while not wearing down her smile.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ after settling into one of the empty tables, davika crossed her leg over the other and leaned onto the table, delicate fingers framing her face. "Mm... do you.. have any soups? I'm feel a little sick today.. I think something warm might help me." The beta said, voice soft, as if dipped in honey. "any soup is fine." her eyes scanned over the worker, noting the mannerism and facial expression of the other Lan beta.
@✸┊ jin davika ᵇ ever since she got accepted in her first job, she had been very hardworking. deliveries on time, great effort towards her customers. but one day, since their restaurant got under staffed, yeri doubled her shift into being a waitress and a delivery girl. although it is very tiring, she perservered. but once she heard another new customer, she rushed to her with a gleeful smile on her face, "hello there! what can i get for you?" she asked the other beta as she is ready to take down some notes.
@☁┊ lan yeri ᵇ Davika knew her line of work wasn't necessarily ethical. She wasn't a God or goddess. Who was she to decide who gets to live and who dies? Who deserves to feel pain and who doesn't? It didn't matter to the Hoorne line. What they did gave them power. It allowed them to rise faster than any other line in the Jin pack. Her line was good at what they did. It didn't mean they were "good."
Davika walked into the innocent little restaurant in Lan territory. If she was going to pick a vessel for the cursed spirit she was transferring, it might as well be someone from Lan, a pack Jin had no alliance with. And it wasn't as if she was trying to kill or cause harm this time around. No. It was an small, insignificant curse that only fed on the weak and dark souls, consuming them from the inside. The girl davika had her sights on was far from weak or dark. Yeri. From what Davika had observed, the Lan beta was stubborn and clumsy. She seemed overall optimistic. She was perfect.
One touch was all she needed. "A table for one, please. " she called out, innocent brown orbs looking directly at Yeri. The corners of her punk lips lifted up into a smile, eyes mirroring it.
