She watched the man hard at work with sanitizing and setting his mise en place, explaining the wheres and confirming the whats in a significantly lighter mood than before. So much so, the jests continue. "Ssaem, it's not going to hurt, right? You promised," she questioned, expression fixed in a aegyo pout she'd long since learned put the general population in a good mood. It was followed up soon by another laugh as he responded—happy cringing—as she adjusted for comfort, extended one arm to be worked on and the other toward Missy. "It's been ages since you've toured me through all of your tats, y'know? I think it'd make a reaaally good distraction."

@★ ha mirinae ᵐᶦʳᵃᵉ missy laughed and slipped her hand into mirinae's before standing up, running her free hand through her hair as they made their way back to where the artist was working, humming happily to herself. "it's going to look so good, i can't wait for it to be done."

One of my friends, he's been using a book that has a bunch of short folktales written in Korean and English side-by-side. Maybe they have something like that for you too, in Japanese of course

It wasn’t roughly midday and Using had made plans to meet Sage at the mall to do some shopping. She had been at a few lessons for most of the morning and ent straight to the mall, getting there early and found a bench to sit at, playing on her phone as she waited for Sage to arrive, quickly sending a text.

@★ missy wong ˡᵃᵈʸ "oh, missy, that'll be so cool!" mirinae grinned, gaze turning back to her phone. "i'm actually still trying to figure out where i want this." she tentatively held the phone up against various places, nose crinkling in thought. "what do you think?"

@★ ha mirinae ᵐᶦʳᵃᵉ "that is so pretty, i like that for you." missy nodded a few times and gave mirinae a bright smile before leaning back and crossing one leg over the other with a hum. "yeah, i'm gonna get another thigh piece. i have the sun on my right thigh, so i'm gonna get the moon on my left. different colour scheme but the same decorative style i'm thinking."

"ah, i should've worn heels," she commented dryly, knowing full well it wouldn't have made a of a difference. "but i'm fine—nervous, yeah—but not about the pain. pretty high tolerance. i won't pass up a chance to hold hands, though," she quipped with a smile, approaching the counter with her name and appointment. with the client ahead of her being finished up, they were directed to sit and wait. "d'you wanna see it? we both agreed i'm not a heavy saturation or dark colors person, i think it came out really pretty," she pre-rambled, already unlocking her phone to open her messages.

@★ ha mirinae ᵐᶦʳᵃᵉ missy climbed out of the cab she had ordered before approaching mirinae with a grin, towering over her with her large platform boots. she ran a hand through her silver hair before hugging her friend, moving to step inside the shop with a quiet hum. "are you nervous? it's okay, i think he'll let me hold your hand yeah? tattoos can be scary sometimes."

@★ missy wong ˡᵃᵈʸ after a day of back-and-forth correspondence to nail a design and another two waiting for openings, mirinae had plenty of time to psych herself out and back into the idea of inking herself in a cycle of dizzying succession. when the day finally came, she was better—more resolved—but anxious little butterflies continued their assault in her gut, anyway. as she waited outside the shop, a tiny involuntary pout had settled on her cherry-tinted lips.
