@ᴍɪɴ ɪsᴀᴢʷⁱᵗᶜʰ Vesper has been around for a long time, and yet he will never stop being grateful for the place that is Lunaria. There was a time in his life when he thought that he would never be able to step outside during the day ever again. Now, he could enjoy standing outside during the day as much as he pleased as long as he stayed within Lunaria's boundaries. This afternoon was one he probably would have been enjoying quite happily, however, due to the current circumstances, he would not be doing so. The health and safety of the students came first and foremost after all.

The professor smiled at the mention of Divination class, something he would probably have taken if he had been a student at Mystiq. It sounded interesting and it was definitely something he was interested in since he was connected to Dalnim, and the moon had always been responsible for so many fates. "Fate is definitely confusing. It is never quite how you think it will be... And it sways back and forth all the time," he hummed. He had come to accept that fate was never going to be truly understandable.

Vesper continued to make sure to listen to the student's breathing as they moved along. He nodded at the information and soon enough, they were entering the building. He stopped and turned to Isaz then. "It is not exactly appropriate, but I feel it may be necessary. It will only take a longer time if we both climb the stairs. Would it be alright if I instead carry you?" he asked. He was completely serious too, he didn't want Isaz to faint from heat or just an elevated heart rate after all.

@ᴠᴇsᴘᴇʀ ᴘᴀʀᴋʰʸᵇʳⁱᵈ At least in the shaded areas of their walk Isaz was able to feel a momentary relief to not have the sun directly on his skin. It was a bit ironic, all things considered, that Isaz was the one more affected by the sun than Mr. Park. You always hear the myths about vampires being unable to walk in the sunlight, and while it doesn't seem true for most of them, it's still a story with prominence among the human population. Though, once again, Isaz is more of an outlier with his ice magic and cold internal temperature.

His grandmother likened it to a heart once. A core of ice, in the center of his being, next to his heart and not replacing it, but functioning in much the same way to keep his magic alive and healthy. The other members of his family have the same, with different elements. His uncle, for example, with an electric core that sizzles and snaps if Isaz listens closely enough. His own, he thinks, would probably sound like blowing wind and cracking ice, but he can't hear it himself.

He nods along with Mr. Park's explanation of why he was still at the school as he tunes back into the conversation. Most teachers probably spend some time at the end of the day to grade assignments and tests, though Isaz is especially glad that Mr. Park was the one to find him. "It is," he says, in response to the man's comment about fate. "We're learning about fate in my Divination class right now. It's pretty interesting, but also kind of confusing."

Isaz wets his lips and wipes his brow again, feeling uncomfortable and itchy the closer they get to the dorms. Checking the distance now he's pretty sure they're safe. Just a little longer and he can get into his room, so he's not in danger of having another bout of heat . He just wishes they were there now instead of having to wait a little longer. "I'm fine." he says, closing his eyes while still walking, letting himself be led before opening them again. "My room is on the third floor, by the way. We have to take the stairs. Sorry."

@ᴍɪɴ ɪsᴀᴢʷⁱᵗᶜʰ Vesper kept up a good pace, not too fast but also not a complete snail crawl. He knew that they had to be quick to get back to the boy's dorm, but he knew he couldn't elevate Isaz's heart rate too much. He could tell that the student was doing alright so far as they left the building, but it was still quite bright and warm out thanks to the setting sun. He tried his best to stay within relatively shaded areas to help the boy some more.

He turned to look at the boy as he spoke and nodded his head slightly, "Then I'm sure it shouldn't be too difficult of a task for you," he smiled. He let out a chuckle and shook his head in amusement. "Finding a student in a freezer is most definitely a special circumstance. Aside from the fact that it was for an emergency, it was actually quite hilarious and endearing," he commented, chuckling softly some more. It was a little absurd honestly, and it was a wonder how Vesper hadn't burst out laughing when he opened his freezer.

At the question from the student, Vesper turned his attention to him once more. "I was finishing up some marking and lost track of the time. I was going to grab my blood bag from the dining hall when I found you. If I hadn't lost track of time, I very well might not have been there when you were," he explained. He hummed softly to himself and glanced over at the boy, "Fate is a bit of a funny thing, isn't it?"

He didn't really expect a response to that question, it was a little more rhetorical. He was relieved to say the least when they were in the shade again, the boy not being beaten down by the sun's last rays, and the dorm entrance within sight. "We are nearly there. Just hang on a little longer, alright, Isaz?" He was glad that the boy hadn't fainted so far and he hoped that it stayed that way. Worse case scenario, he could always carry the boy inside.

@ᴠᴇsᴘᴇʀ ᴘᴀʀᴋʰʸᵇʳⁱᵈ As they made their way out of the dining hall Isaz was grateful that Mr. Park decided to hold his hand even though he technically didn't have to. The contact was grounding, the teacher's naturally lower body temperature helping to regulate Isaz's own, even if only slightly. It at least helped him feel marginally less affected by the warmer weather permeating the halls of the institute, still indoor cool, but definitely not cold.

"Ah," Of course, it would have been too optimistic to believe he would be let off scot-free. Isaz nods, understanding the reason for it, and to be quite honest he's just glad his little stunt didn't result in a detention, or something worse. He already helps to clean up at his family's magic shop when working hours are over, so if he ends up having to assist the dining hall staff, it shouldn't be that big of a problem. "I don't mind cleaning." he says, making an effort to actually look at Mr. Park's face to show his earnestnesse. Isaz is a bit surprised when he realizes he has to look down slightly to make eye contact with him. He sometimes forgets how tall he is until he gets into situations like these where he has to stand close to people. "Um, whatever is fine though. I know it's a bit of a special circumstance."

Eventually, Isaz shrugs slightly and looks away, eyes gazing in the direction of the dormitories. It shouldn't take too much longer for them to reach their destination. He's already feeling a bit under-the-weather again, the spring sunshine not helping as it lays itself over his back while they walk past a series of windows. Isaz has to reach up and wipe some sweat from his brow with his free hand, grimacing as the unwelcome heat presses in on all sides. It's not threatening, yet, but it is annoying.

Feeling a bit awkward to continue their walk in silence, Isaz searches for a topic that wouldn't feel weird talking with a teacher about. He clears his throat, wishing he wasn't so socially inept, and asks, "If you don't mind telling me, Mr. Park, why are you here so late?" Isaz worries his bottom lip for a moment. "I kind of didn't expect anyone to find me so soon. Most people are gone from the main building by now."

@ᴍɪɴ ɪsᴀᴢʷⁱᵗᶜʰ It would have been endearing if not for the circumstances at hand, finding Isaz in a freezer. It was definitely something Vesper would jot down in his journal that week. 'Found my ice witch student in a freezer this week. Poor boy was trying to regulate his body temperature' is probably what he would end up jotting down. The professor didn't even think about an immediate punishment for the boy's actions. After all, the boy was actually doing it for the sake of his own health. Vesper was already thinking about how to go about the situation since it did deserve some kind of punishment since there was some damage to the goods inside the fridge.

Vesper simply nodded at the boy's words, understanding that it would be quite a tedious task to get back to the boy's room. Though, the warlock was a very very patient man and he had the time, so he really wasn't all too fussed about the situation. The health of his student was on the line. If necessary, he would carry the boy back to his room, but he didn't know how comfortable Isaz was with skinship. He would ask for permission if and when it was necessary. "We'll take it nice and slowly," he reassured.

The warlock was very patient, and even as the boy took a few moments to accept his hand, he didn't pull it back or move really. Only when the boy finally grabbed his hand did Vesper help lift him up and out of the freezer, making sure he didn't hurt himself on the way out. He looked at the damaged goods and tilted his head slightly. "Don't worry too much about paying for it. This was ultimately an emergency situation so it can be forgiven. Ice cream and those other things can easily be replaced. You will however receive some kind of punishment since this could have been avoided if you had approached a member of staff. Though in your state, I understand that that was probably not on your mind at the time."

He let the boy continue to hold his hand and they ever so slowly left the dining hall, albeit after Vesper shut the freezer. He would feed later he supposed. He thought about how the boy could be reprimanded for his actions, and hummed in thought. "I could just give you cleaning duty in the dining hall. I'm sure the staff there wouldn't mind some help," he thought aloud. It was close to a detention, but not exactly a detention, and he could keep track of it well enough.

@ᴠᴇsᴘᴇʀ ᴘᴀʀᴋʰʸᵇʳⁱᵈ Isaz doesn't know what's worse. Being caught in such a compromising position, or the momentary lapse in silence once he's done talking and waiting for his professor to respond. When he does get that response though, he finds himself infinitely glad that it was Mr. Park of all people to find him. Isaz was honestly expecting to get a detention or some sort of punishment, even if the situation was mostly an accident. So, to be offered help and - so far - not get in trouble did a great job of alleviating his nerves.

"Yeah," he says quickly, a little overwhelmed and two-fifths fidgety. "I mean, yes. I have more at my dorm. Um, I just need to be really careful getting there, like, only walking. No running, or jogging. It would raise my temperature too much." He frowns a bit, wishing he wouldn't have to impose on his professor in such a manner. Maybe he really should start keeping a backup set of clothes like his parents always say to, but to be fair, Isaz really doesn't take them off at all unless necessary. Usually he doesn't have to bother remembering where they are because they're always on his person. He waves his hand a bit and looks up at Mr. Park imploringly. "But once I get there I'll be fine! Like I said, I have more clothes there, and the whole dorm is spelled to stay cold. I just need to get there in the first place. If you- If you don't mind going with me."

Blinking at the man's outstretched hand it takes a moment for Isaz to accept it. Not because of the other's warlock status, surprisingly, but because Isaz doesn't really make a habit of having skin contact with other people. In the past they've complained that he's too cold, so unless he's wearing gloves and has most of his skin covered up, he tries not to get too close to anyone besides his family. Thankfully, the professor's hand isn't that much warmer than Isaz's. He carefully uses his grip to help himself out of the ice box, wincing when some of the items he was laying on make crushed sounds under his weight.

"I can pay for that," he mumbles, finally swinging his leg over and letting go of Mr. Park's hand. He stares forlornly at the mess of ice cream and other frozen items littering the ground, now unthawed and wet from being outside of the freezer. "Those too." It'll be a lot more money than Isaz usually spends, but he saves a lot of what he makes at the shop and the ski hill, so he should have enough.

@ᴍɪɴ ɪsᴀᴢʷⁱᵗᶜʰ Throughout his relatively long life, Vesper had come across many situations which were amusing, astounding and outright outrageous. He had come across so many situations that he couldn't even pinpoint the best or the worst since they were all just so very ridiculous. This situation had to take the cake though in terms of somewhat ridiculous situations though.

Find a student, one of his students too, in the freezer of the dining hall? He doubted anyone could have even imagined such a scenario. It was somewhat absurd. Isaz was a good student though, a tad bit naive at times, but otherwise good. The warlock had an inkling about how the boy was raised to think because of his very obvious reactions to being around the warlock -- Vesper was used to it by now though, receiving such a reaction from witches.

He patiently listened to the boy and his reason as to why and how he had gotten himself inside the freezer and suddenly Vesper didn't need to feed so quickly. He frowned slightly, feeling sorry for the boy for having gone through such an ordeal and shook his head a bit, "I'll help you look into finding those clothes for you by tomorrow," he offered. "If I you, do you think you'll be able to get back to your dorm alright? Do you have more clothes there that are enchanted for your body temperature?" he asked.

He held out a hand anyway, whether the boy took it or not. It wasn't like his own body temperature could make the boy any worse off since he ran cold as it was -- part of being a vampire. He hadn't fed yet either, so really it was quite an optimal circumstance.

@ᴠᴇsᴘᴇʀ ᴘᴀʀᴋʰʸᵇʳⁱᵈ When Isaz first hears the faint sound of footsteps he can't help but sigh in relief realizing he's not alone. But soon after the worry crawls back in, because he doesn't know if they'll even find him in here. Does he even /want/ them to find him? What if it's a disciplinary officer, or one of the faction bellators? The last thing Isaz wants is to get in trouble without being able to explain himself. Maybe it would be better if he just hunkered down for the night and figured a way to get out when no one was around.

Of course, all of this thinking doesn't stop the footsteps from getting closer. Close enough that Isaz is sure that their destination is the very same freezer he's currently inside of. He closes his eyes, as if it would help anything, and the room goes silent except for the buzz of the cooler's electricity. Then he hears the sound of the cover opening and feels a rush of warm, spring air that thankfully dissipates as the cold of the freezer drives it away.

He looks up and almost chokes upon seeing the face of his Interspecies Anatomy teacher. His first thought is, "oh, ," followed by, "I'm going to be in so much trouble," and then, alarm bells going off in his head, screaming, "warlock!" It's en eventful couple of seconds where Isaz has to take a moment to process things, sitting still as frozen as an icicle, before he eventually brings himself out of his head in order to bow politely at the man. Or, at least, nod his head as far as he can while still twisted like a pretzel.

"Hi, Professor Park," he says, sheepishly looking anywhere but the professor's face. Mostly out of embarrassment, and partly out of nervousness. He's never been fully comfortable around warlocks. It's not... he's not proud of it, would rather not be nervous at all, but his family's teachings still swirl around his head when in the presence of one. He usually just tries to ignore it. Which is easy enough to do right now, considering he's going to have to explain himself and how he ended up here. "Uh, funny story?" He takes a deep breath just to get it out all at once. "I kinda lost my jacket and stuff, and then I almost got heat while looking for them, because even though it's only spring it's already too warm for someone with a lower body temperature like me. And then I didn't know what to do to cool off so I just climbed in... here." He looks up again, anxious and apologetic and out of his depth. "Sorry?"

@ᴍɪɴ ɪsᴀᴢʷⁱᵗᶜʰ [] haha it looks great! <3 love the inner turmoil isaz was going through xD <3

Vesper had to admit that even though it had been a couple of centuries since he had been in Lunaria, he was even grateful that he could enjoy the change of the seasons during the daytime without having to worry about how long he was standing outside for, or if it was too sunny for him to even risk taking a step outside. With spring well on its way in, Vesper was able to enjoy the much more moderate temperatures of the day without worrying.

On days when he had the time to do so, he would spend time outside, in the courtyard, by the lake or on the field of the institute to just bask in the lovely weather. He loved all seasons, but there was something just so magical yet fleeting about spring, something about the season that he cherished so much -- perhaps it was because it was linked to a memory from long ago.

He had spent enough time outside though, and he had made a quick round of the grounds to make sure no students were doing anything inappropriate since it was getting closer to curfew. Once that was all done, Vesper headed inside to the dining hall. As much as he liked to drink his blood warm, sometimes bordering hot, he did like to keep it as fresh as possible, and keeping it in a good fridge or freezer was key in doing so. It just so happened that the refrigerator in the dining hall was one of the best on campus.

He hummed softly to himself as he headed into the dining hall, thinking about what he would do once he finished his drink and got back to his office that evening. Maybe he would read some more? Or perhaps he'd do something arty, or perhaps even just star gaze since the night was going to be a--

"Oh," he muttered as he opened the cooler and found not just frozen goods... but a boy? He shook himself out of shock and tilted his head slightly. "Uh, hello, what might you be doing in here?" he asked curiously. He felt like he had seen this boy around the institute, but it took a moment longer for him to recognise the boy since he wasn't exactly fully clothed like he normally would be. He was certain this boy was in his class. "You're from my class, aren't you?" he added.

@ᴠᴇsᴘᴇʀ ᴘᴀʀᴋʰʸᵇʳⁱᵈ It takes about 30 minutes of being inside the ice cabinet for Isaz to come back to himself, no longer feeling on the verge of throwing up and/or passing out. The sickly warmth under his skin has mostly faded away as the relieving chill of the cooler surrounds him. Now that he's no longer in the throes of heat he can think a little more clearly as to how he ended up in this predicament in the first place. That is, sandwiched inside a cramped, little freezer in the dining hall with popsicles and frozen corn dogs jabbing into his thighs and back.

An hour or so earlier, Isaz had returned from from his yearly physical, the one where a visiting magic clinic sets up shop at the institute for a week and offers free examinations to students. He's always been a bit of a special case when it comes to these things, since the doctor's have to adjust for his lower body temperature and (unfortunately) sometimes unpredictable magic. The point is, the physical is one of the few rare times where Isaz has to take off the clothes that normally keep him cool. Thinking back on it, he's sure that he placed them in his locker before heading to the clinic. Or, maybe he left them in the waiting area next to the clinic? Now he's not so sure.

Isaz had tried looking everywhere once he realized they had disappeared. He checked his locker in the gym changing room, his regular locker with all his books, even the waiting area that was closed off since the clinic was done for the day. Nothing. And with every passing second the warmth of the incoming spring had been working its way over him, wiping away the barrier of frost and cold clinging to Isaz like a second skin. It also didn't help that Isaz had been panicking a bit, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, the physical exertion exacerbating his already elevated internal temperature.

It was basically inevitable that he had started to overheat. At that point he had been wandering the halls for over half an hour, with no luck finding his missing items, and at one point he had to stop and hold the wall as a wave of dizziness had crashed over him. Followed by nausea, and a whole boatload of confusion (of the "where am I? what am I doing?" type), but he hasn't had a heat that bad in a long time, and it isn't even summer yet! So, clearly, the only logical thing for Isaz to do was find someplace cold. He happened to have enough presence of mind to realize that he was near the dining hall, and after pulling open the freezer and emptying most of its contents, found himself inside with the glass lid closed. Thus, explaining how he ended up here in the first place.

Here being after hours at the institute, with practically no one around, and stuffed inside the cooler until he's eventually found or the weather cools down enough for him to leave. Isaz just really wishes he could remember where he put his things.

[] i hope this is alright :’) also, absolutely do not feel like you have to mirror !!! i tend to have trouble with starters bc i never know how much info to put, so they usually end up being a little long :sweatdrop: so just reply with whatever length you’re most comfortable with !! aLSO MY BAD I POSTED IN THE LIBRARY BY ACCIDENT
