❝ What era/year does this AU take place?
Consider it the not-so-distant future. An unspecified year of a universe very similar to ours, but with a different history.

❝ If I join as a human can my character be turned into a vampire?
In order to keep things simple the answer right now is NO, human characters cannot be turned into vampires in the current version of the roleplay. This may be subject to change in the future.

❝ Are there any hunter organizations?
Rather than full-on organizations there are pockets of small hunter clans in various cities and towns across the world. The largest clans typically have around 70-80 active members. They usually have to function out of abandoned buildings in order to remain under the radar, since under vampire rule all hunting is illegal.

❝ If I join as a hunter do I have to be part of a hunter clan?
No. It is not uncommon for some vampire hunters to work alone, or within very small groups of 3-10 people. However, without a hunting clan to help assist them these solo hunters and small groups tend to die quicker than clan-based hunters.

❝ Do other supernatural creatures exist in this universe?
Yes, but they do not have nearly as much influence as vampires. There are pockets of werewolf packs, witch clans, mermaid schools, etcetera, but these species do not have the numbers to pose any real threat to vampires as a whole. This is mostly due to the fact that vampires can be both naturally born and turned, meaning the vampire population rose in numbers almost exponentially compared to other species. The second largest population on Earth is humanity. THIS BEING SAID OTHER SPECIES BESIDES VAMPIRES AND HUMANS ARE NOT A PLAYABLE CHARACTER ROLE IN THE RP.

❝ What vampire characteristics are in this universe?

❝ How frequently do humans donate blood?
This answer depends on if your character is an indirect or direct donor. Indirect donors donate at least every 6-12 weeks, since a full blood bag is about 1 liter worth of blood, and the human body needs time to recuperate after a blood drawing session. Direct donors can donate as frequently as once a week, to every few weeks. This depends on the amount of blood that is taken from the human during the feeding session. The more blood consumed by the vampire, the longer the waiting period is until the human's next feeding session.

❝ Are there any ways to make human blood donations more frequent?
In universe there is currently an experimental drug being created to help promote blood regeneration in humans after feeding sessions. However, this drug is still being extensively tested at the moment and is not commercial. (That's not to say it isn't in use though. Some humans may be acting as unassuming guinea pigs.)

❝ Do hunters live on the Blood Farm?
Yes, all hunters within the roleplay as characters live in the facility. They are acting as regular donors, and have to follow all the same rules and regulations as regular donors, while trying to keep their hunter status a secret.

❝ How are humans and vampires differentiated from each other?
Besides the obvious difference of needing to drink blood, sometimes it's hard to tell who is human and who is vampire based on appearance alone. You can usually recognize a human donor within the facility based on their plain dress, or if they are wearing their medical garb used for feeding sessions and health check-ups. The vampires of the facility tend to dress much more expressively and sometimes ornately, so based on clothing you can usually tell the difference. A lot of lower level vampire staff members also wear nametags. The reason there isn't much more distinction between the two species is that it simply isn't necessary. The vampires are in control, and they are able to tell the scent of a human apart from the scent of a fellow vampire, so they know which is which unless something interferes with their senses.

❝ Do dhampirs exist in this universe?
Yes, dhampirs do exist in this universe, but they are extremely rare. Relationships between humans and vampires are quite frowned upon by both spceies. The person pregnant with the dhampir is also unlikely to survive the pregnancy full term, as the dhampir absorbs much more energy and nutrients than a typical full human or full vampire child. THIS BEING SAID DHAMPIRS ARE CURRENTLY NOT A PLAYABLE CHARACTER ROLE IN THE RP.

❝ What happens to the eldery/humans who can no longer donate at the facility?
When a human can no longer donate blood (illness, age, disposition, etc.) there are two ways this is taken care of. The first is that the human is discharged from the facility. This is most common with younger humans that either refuse to donate anymore, or have an illness that cannot be cured, making their blood unsuitable for donation purposes. These humans will receive a small care pack (rations, clothes, etc.), but that's it, since anymore would be a bigger waste of resources. Eventually these humans will have to survive completely on their own. The second option is a lot darker, and usually reserved for older humans who probably wouldn't be able to survive on their own outside the facility. It is seen as a mercy killing. Humans are unaware of this practice, but if a certain human is no longer able to donate, they are moved to another, smaller building on the facility grounds. On the outside this is advertised as a place where they can live out the rest of their days in peace. In reality, this is where the humans are lethally injected, in order to better manage resources for the facility which are already tight given the state of the world.

❝ How bad is the living situation outside of the Blood Farm(s)?
In all honesty, extremely bad. Of course, there are wealthy cities and areas that are well-off, but most of the world is generally in a sorry state, and some places even worse than the city this particular Blood Farm is located near. In order to get a good idea, imagine the world is in the same state as New York Times Square in the 1970s - tons of crime, serial killers, arson attacks, dirty cops, terrible law enforcement, etc.

Can I ask two questions?
I was thinking about requesting San and I don't see him on the masterlist so could I, please, request him?
And if I make him a financial donor to the blood farm, are there any specific things he had to do or are there any requirements for financial donors in the world? I'm sorry if it seems like a stupid question. I just want to be sure. ><
