Career
April 1, 2023: Debut
April 1, 2023 marked the official debut of k-rock band Royal Flush, notably the first k-rock band under Diamond Soul Factory since its establishment. The group debuted with 5 members (Loren, ACE, Gunil, V, and June), with their debut single album "ist course", which featured the title track "Happy Death Day" and b-side "Pirates".
May 8, 2023: Comeback
May 8, 2023, Royal Flush returned with an ep album titled "have ur cake (eat it ii)", featuring title track "Strawberry Cake" and b-side "Sweet Chaos". The album featured a medley of songs, collaborated on by notable names within the industry, that represented the bittersweet delicacies of love. It featured all five original members of the group and was promoted on music shows, though it took home no wins.
September 14, 2023: Comeback with "here's the iii" and first win
"here's the iii" is the second single album by Royal Flush. It was released by Diamond Soul Factory on September 14, 2023. The single features two original tracks, including the lead single "Freakin' Bad".
According to the members, the single album follows the way of naming their releases so far, with a number in the name, along with a wordplay, this time using the phrase "here's the tea", meaning that someone is about to speak the truth in modern slang. The overall theme of the single is "the chaos that someone experiences as the inner good and evil reach a stalemate that cannot be yielded to each other." The lead track, "Freakin' Bad", features 808 bass with lyrics that capture "the many worries between hero and villain" and "the message to get out of the world that separates good from evil." Meanwhile the b-side track "Checkmate" talks about "how to get through a situation where you can neither move forward nor back down."
The third time seemed to be the charm for the Royal Flush boys, because this release and the subsequent promotions, brought on their first music show win, and it wasn't the only one. Going up against industry behemoths such as their labelmates DIA and Janus was no easy feat, but Royal Flush managed to snatch a total of 3 wins on M!Countdown, Show Champion, and Show!Music Core.
Awards and achievements
At the 2024 Lunar Festival Awards, Royal Flush and certain members were nominated in various categories, and won awards in the following ones: Fans Choice Award and Best Music Video for Sweet Chaos.
Members of Royal Flush participated in several special stages of the Lunar Festival - Loren, V, and June together with labelmates Baekhyun and Romeo of Janus performed an homage to rock classics Queen and their song "Don't Stop Me Now". Later member ACE was joined on stage by labelmates Hanbin, Yeosang, Wooyoung (Janus), Ven, and Lix (LeDeux) to perform a dance cover of Shinhwa's 'Hey, Come on!". Gunil also joined Ruby Jane, pixie, and Moonbyul to add percussions to their rendition of Flower Road by TOP.
Royal Flush also performed a solo stage of their own - starting off with a rock cover of CARAT Y's "Love Me Right" and transitioning into their own hit track "Freakin' Bad".
