@✽ suzy b. “Seriously, though, good luck.” This sentence warmed Seoham’s heart a little harder than it should have. He hadn’t heard genuine ‘good lucks’ like that since he moved to Dandelion. The last thing resembling that was a statement from his mother, who was crying in typical mother fashion before he moved all the way here. It was refreshing, and nice hearing from Suzy herself. Still rubbing down his hair to cover his reddening ears, Seoham nodded, “Thank you.”
“Oh right, my bad… my head was not in the right spot for a second.” he replied, his cheeks following his ears in color. He definitely wasn’t thinking but he turned to Suzy semi-confidently, nodding. He closed shut the dryer and turned it on, sighing. “Yes, we should, I’ll see you then?”
@✽ seoham p. Suzy paused as she held on to the dryer's door, her lips drawing into a rare genuine smile, "Seriously, though, good luck." The words felt foreign as she's forgotten how to root for someone with all her heart. Probably because she continuously fostered malice towards her father, her ex-fiance and well, a lot of people; only wishing luck to herself. Seoham having a crush, a secret one due to how he's acting, had her empathizing with the younger as she know well how it feels.
She began to take out her clothes one by one. The radio host sloppily folded it before setting it into her laundry basket. "Nope, I told you haven't," Suzy answered, eyebrows knitting as she recalled saying so when she suggested the cafe. The older smirked, thinking Seoham might have not heard because of her prior teasing about the person that currently holds his interest. "I guess you were thinking of your crush," she tutted before adding,"Then should we try the cafe out?"
@✽ suzy b. With his eyes squinting, Seoham instinctively grabbed the sides of his hair, pulling it down over his ears. He always did this because his stupid tell for embarrassment, something which rarely happened even if he was always in public accidents, were his ears. They’d turn red whenever he would blush or get flustered seriously by anything. And Suzy’s teasing about his secret crush on one of his friends was definitely doing the trick. “My accident-prone self–” he repeated, almost in amusement. It was nothing he had never heard before. “I hope that person will too.” he added, shaking his head with a smile.
“Moonglade Caf–” The sound of his washing machine’s washing cycle finished dinged beside his standing figure and he turned, moving to it to empty out the damp clothing and blankets. He continued to dump the items into the dryer nearby while he spoke. “Moonglade Cafe? No I haven’t. I’ve only been to Florestrellia and Neoculture, I think. Is it any good there? Have you eaten there?” he huffed out, lightly slamming the dryer door shut, eyeing Suzy’s now-dry and good-smelling laundry.
@✽ seoham p. There's no space to argue when Suzy's the living evidence and witness to how much of an her father is. It felt liberating as it was known to the public even if she received a backslash for being his daughter. And even if he'll probably find her once he's out and continue being the despicable human that he is. At least, she can jest about it for the moment.
Suzy let out a soft laugh at his flustered reply before she hummed in understanding. She noticed the secretive smile plastered on his face. "Oh, wow, what's this? You really do have someone!" the older snorted in a pleasant surprise. Though curiousity have started to kick in, she held herself back as Seoham gave a promise to tell her when the time comes. "I hope that person would embrace you, and your accident-prone self, my friend," she joked.
"That's good to hear," she sighed at Seoham's answer. It was a relief, to say the least, Suzy wouldn't want to become an object of scrunity by the lovable woman. "Oh, yeah, I still have my old number," she confirmed, just as the dyer signalled her laundry's done. She walked over it as she said, "There's definitely a variety of cafes here. I haven't been to Moonglade Cafe, have you?"
@✽ suzy b. “I can’t argue with that, if you’re the one saying it yourself.” he replied immediately at her mentioning her father was worse, an amused smile on his face.
At her next few words, he quickly shook his head and waved his hands in front of his name, dismissing her words. “No, no! I mean, maybe. I dunno, I just don’t like the girls my mother sets me up with, as nice as they are.” he said at lightspeed, an awkward and almost secretive smile showing up on his features. His head craned backward, seeing her gesture. “I’ll tell you when it happens. If it even does.”
“Okay, there's a handful of cafes here we can choose fro– hm?” Seoham blinked at Suzy, surprised by her little ‘ah.’ “Oh. Yeah, don’t worry. My dad doesn’t really share work-related things to me or my mother, why do you think I only found out about you giving evidence to the other side today?” he replied softly, bringing out his smartphone from his back pocket. “Do you still have your older number? If you changed it, just let me know. So I can text you when we can hang out again?” He swiped up to the ‘new contact’ section of his phone, typing with one thumb.
@✽ seoham p. Suzy sipped on the leftover americano, stopping just before the straw makes the typical noise signalling there's no more liquid to on. The older woman knew his father's, and she quote, "an ". The way the lawyer had attempted to stop her bringing materials to the other side...Seoham wouldn't know. Suzy simply apologized because she took consideration that perhaps it had affected Seoham in a way, but she's relieved it didn't seem that way. "I guess, our dad's are both s," Suzy scoffed as she set the empty plastic cup down. "Though, Mr. Bae's a bigger ."
She chuckled when Seoham acted cool in all his pajamas and bed hair glory. "Ooh, are you playing hard to get? Well, being the popular webtoonist, Seo Seungjin, I guess you have that luxury. Or...perhaps you already have someone you fancy?" Suzy threw him a 'it's okay, tell this noona your secret' look, jokingly cupping her ears for him to whisper into.
"Sure thing. Cafe sounds good," she nodded, lowering her hands from her ears as they planned for their catching up. "Ah," she gasped as a thought passed. The loss of the trial might not affect Seoham, but what about his mother? Suzy has no way of knowing if she knew of it from Mr. Seo but at least, she's got to make sure it's not from Seoham. As sweet as Mrs. Seo is, there might be an awkward vibe between them if she knew Suzy tainted her husband's winning streak. "Just in case, don't tell her I'm the biggest reason your father lost the trial."

Even though Chaeyoung had been living by herself as an independent adult for a few years, even regularly commuting back and forth from the town to the city, she had /always/ always hated doing her laundry. Her parents had taught her how to do it at home, and by hand too, but she despised it. Getting her hands wrinkly was not something she desired, so she would always visit the laundromat just to have those cheap machines do it for her. All she needed to do was sort her clothing items by color and she was all set.
She carried her basket into the laundromat, for once she was dressed in more casual clothing. Well, as casual as she would dress compared to her usual “always on” attire. She peered inside, chewing on her gum as she set her basket full of dirty clothes on one of the counters. Digging through her hoodie pockets for her wallet, she saw an oddly familiar face in the laundromat. She wasn’t entirely sure, but she was pretty good with faces and she was needlessly confident, so she abandoned her basket for a bit and walked to the female. She tapped her shoulder lightly, hoping she’d turn to face her. “Wow, Yunkyoung! Hey!”
@✽ keonhee l. as much as she wished to kiss him again, she knew she had to hold herself back from going too far. although there was innocence in her eyes as they looked at each other, she couldn't help but smile. "i can't wait either, keonhee-ssi," she hummed softly while gently patting the back of his head while resting her other hand on his chest. "but we should go get the snacks and then get ready no?" she asked, tilting her head as she looked up at him. "as much as i would like to kiss you again, keonhee. we should really get going," she said with a light laugh.
she might've looked all calm and collected on the outside but she was trying to get her heart to calm down on the inside. she moved to playfully pat at her chest as if she was doing just that. sooyoung slowly slipped out from underneath of keonhee, holding out her hand for the taller so they could start their impulse journey together with the most important parts.
@✽ sooyoung h. keonhee grabbed at sooyoung's with both hands as their tongues slid together, and he made a soft noise into the kiss as he pressed up against her. he was already getting excited for how their chemistry exploded as they made out against the brick wall of the alleyway behind bubble rave, and he groaned when sooyoung finally pulled away, pressing his forehead against hers as he panted to catch his breath.
he his lips and laughed quietly at her words before nodding once, biting his bottom lip before sighing shakily. ", soo. holy , we have to be soulmates if that's what it's like to kiss you. i can't wait until tonight when we get to the beach house."
@✽ keonhee l. as his lips crashed with hers, she felt her heart stop for a second. it felt perfect. the kiss felt perfect. the way their lips collided with one another...it was all perfect to sooyoung. she did not hesitate once to let keonhee in, parting her lips with a soft nose leaving her lips as she did. she hummed into the kiss as he grabbed her and pulled him closer before tangling her fingers in his hair. playing around with his tongue she leaned back to nibble on his lips just to before pressing her lips against his again. her fingers mindlessly twirled his hair around as the two made out, the kiss deepening with every head tilt, pulling either close to close up any small gab that could be visible to the eye.
moments passed and the two pulled away, gasping lightly for air as sooyoung pressed her forehead against him. "think we could do a bit better later..." she said with a soft giggle leaving her kiss swollen lips as she looked at him. "don't you think so?"

"absolutely, we'll definitely be enjoying the ocean while we're there so swimwear is necessary." keonhee nodded a few times and snatched the joint before taking a long drag, letting it fall from his fingers to the ground - he could grab it again later, he had something else more important to focus on at the moment.
when sooyoung kissed him first, his hands immediately went to land on her hips to hold her close, and he tilted his head to the side before nibbling at her bottom lip almost immediately. he couldn't help but let one of his hands slip to her back before moving down to grab at her , using his tall body to press sooyoung against the wall as he his way into .
@✽ keonhee l. she nodded at his response and moved to lean back against the wall as she continued to think about what to wear. she wanted to look her best. this was a once in a life time opportunity for sooyoung and she wasn't going to waste it by not looking her absolute best. "it might take me a bit to get ready but no longer than an hour i can promise you that," she said, glad she had her done the night before and all she had to do was shower and her makeup and get dressed. "speaking of the beach, i should bring some swimwear yeah?" she asked, not expecting what was about to happen next. but she wasn't explaining.
sooyoung looked up at him, catching her bottom lip between her teeth as she felt her face flush bright pink. "i think you're right. for science," she grinned before leaning up and cupping his cheeks with her hands to pull him closer and pressed a kiss to his lips. not knowing where this would lead, she just hoped her lips weren't dry. she found herself tilting her head to deepen to kiss, moving her hand from his cheeks to wrap her arms around his neck.
@✽ sooyoung h. keonhee hummed at sooyoung's question and thought about it seriously, biting his lip. maybe he was crazy for accepting her idea of eloping, but he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by - he didn't want to think of sooyoung as the one who got away, because it was obvious that the two of them were puzzle pieces that had been waiting to fit together. "casual fancy, i think? especially since we're gonna be going to the beach after this, and sitting in the car for two hours."
he stretched his arms up again and placed a forearm against the brick wall of the alleyway by sooyoung's face, his lips before smirking mischievously. "well, i don't think we should have our first kiss at the courthouse in front of a bunch of strangers marrying us. maybe we should get that part out of the way? for science, of course."
@✽ keonhee l. she knew that the words that left her lips would make her look crazy but she really wasn't thinking. she allowed the impulse take over and there she was, asking the man the had spilled coffee on her to elope with her. it was not the sanest thing she has done but she didn't want to live the rest of her life as a washed up ballerina that had nothing going on for her. knowing that the two clicked and were on the same page made her heart flutter and race at speeds she only felt when she was performing.
keonhee's reaction did cause her heart to sink just a bit but the second he spoke, the smile re her face. "oh my future husband, i promise to drop the formalities once the knot is tied," she said with soft laugh as she let him take the joint from her fingers before tilting her head every so slightly. "wear our fanciest outfits for our wedding? or keep it casual fancy?" she asked, already going through some of her outfits in her head to see if she had any good enough options for this surprisingly very eventful day.

"snacks sound good, we can go by your corner store and get some stuff before hitting the road." keonhee nodded a few times and grinned in response to sooyoung's excitement, feeling himself get excited about the impromptu road trip as well. he paused when she looked right at him, and he looked down at her before his eyes widened in surprise. elope? that was certainly crazy...but they really clicked, and he would be damned if he let that feeling go.
"if we're gonna go to the courthouse before our road trip today, sooyoung-ah, there's no reason for you to be formal to your future husband, hmm?" keonhee hummed softly as he brought a hand up to sneak the joint from her fingers, taking a long hit before blowing it gently to the side. "then when we go back to our houses to get packed we should get dressed for our wedding."
@✽ keonhee l. she took the joint between her fingers and took a puff, looking up at keonhee as he spoke before turning her head to blow out the smoke. her eyes lit up even brighter at the sound of them going today. "really? do you think so? we could also grab some snacks from the store for the trip!" she exclaimed, pure excitement visible in her voice and just her entire self. "i'll treat you to lunch instead of coffee then! make it extra special," she smiled widely, her eyes disappearing into smiles with her.
she moved to hold her hands behind her back after taking another hit off the blunt before exhaling. "i think it might be too crazy though, keonhee-ssi. don't think i want to scare you of just yet," she said with a soft laugh before looking up at him and noticing that this time they were looking right at each other. their height difference wasn't too bad but she did find herself looking up at him, neck cranked back ever so slightly as the same mischievous smile stayed on her plump lips. "let's elope.." she said in a hushed tone but she said it with her entire heart.
@✽ sooyoung h. keonhee laughed when sooyoung brought up wanting to go on a road trip today, and he checked his own phone before seeing no notifications. it was still the morning so they could even make it to the beach just in time for the day to really start, and he chuckled softly before holding out the joint so she could take it - sharing was caring, after all. "it's the perfect time. we can go back home and pack for a beach trip before i can come grab you and we'll make our way there? we'd make it just in time for lunch, and they have a great seafood place."
he paused when she looked up at him with a mischievous look on her features, and he raised an eyebrow before turning to face sooyoung fully with a growing smile on his lips. "what are you thinking there, missy? you don't know, i'm down for basically anything."
@✽ keonhee l. sooyung looked at the time on her phone before bringing her full attention towards keonhee as he spoke. "why don't we do it today then? i don't have anything important happening for the next few days and would love to kind of get away from here," she suggested, raising a brow before realizing that there is a lot more planning to a road trip than packing a bag and leaving. "or is it...a little too early to go on one right now?" she added, knitting her eyebrows together as she leaned back against the wall and stretched her legs out in front of herself.
her eyes lit up just by his comment on the two of the being soulmates. "i'm going to be so honest with you. i haven't clicked with anyone like this before so i might have to believe you on the soulmates thing," she responded as she turned to face him, looking up at him. the craziest idea ever imagined ran through her head. "i think we should do something about it. about us being potential soulmates," she grinned, almost mischievously.

"as you should." keonhee winked down at sooyoung before grinning when she got excited about the idea of road trips and camping, humming softly at her question before nodding a few times. "oh, it would be so fun. we can totally do it, i own this place i can be away from it for a bit since i have another person who can come by and keep watch. i love the beach, i wish we lived closer but it just makes going all the more special."
he finished his cigarette and flicked the away before lighting up the joint that had been in his pocket, and he took a large hit before sighing softly, letting the smoke out. "dude, we're basically soulmates, this is crazy. i've never clicked with anybody so well in a short amount of time."
@✽ keonhee l. she raised a brow as she looked at him before crossing her arms over her chest. "i tend to leave the corner shop a lot so i'll pay you a visit whenever i can," she grinned as she looked over at him before humming lightly as she took a puff. sooyung looked at him as he nudged her side and gave him a smile.
"road trips?" she almost exclaimed, a bright smile appearing on her lips as her eyes sparkled at just the sound of that. she had loved road trips as a kid. "i would love that actually! and camping too?" she gasped lightly as she looked at him before covering with her hand to hide most of her excitement. "i'm going to be honest with you... i haven't really been camping before but i would love that actually. anything to get out of here for as long as i can," she said with a big smile. "do you think we could go on one soon? or is this too quick..."

"it gets lonely sometimes, i will admit." keonhee laughed quietly and softened when he noticed that sooyoung was looking up at him, and he leaned closer to her just slightly as he took another drag of his cigarette. he listened to her carefully and nodded a few times before biting his lip, nudging her in the side with a hand.
"you know, if you ever need help figuring out what else to put in your personality besides ballet, i'm always down to hang." keonhee grinned and straightened up with sparkling brown eyes, and he nodded a few times. "we can like, take road trips to the beach in the middle of the night and we can go up to the mountains and camp and we can just get away a lot, or we can have fun adventures here too."
@✽ suzy b. Seoham could only stare at Suzy, seeing every bit of her body language and reaction to what he had just said. He’s quite good at reading /most/ people when he wanted to be, and she very clearly just despised her father. Understandable of course, most people don’t get to choose their family. “I won’t mourn for him,” he heard her speak with some finality and all he could do was nod. The man had immediately noticed her slam the dryer’s door shut harder than most people so he knew he must have hit a little nerve, by accident, when he said her family is supposedly still her family.
When she apologized for helping his own father lose the trial, he couldn’t help but laugh, shrugging lightly as a signal of his possibly twisted amusement for his father’s suffering. “Don’t apologize, my dad’s kind of an . I think he deserved a big dirty stain on his almost perfect case record.” he commented, believing every single word he said. Though there was some bias against his father because Seoham personally just didn’t have the best relationship with him anymore. Not that he could do much about it.
He took a quick glance at the washer, seeing that his cycle was almost done, it was probably going to take a while since Suzy’s load was already in the dryer. “I will! I’m free in the afternoons, mostly. I like to knock out my to-do list tasks in the morning.” Seoham crossed his arms, his back resting against the area with the machines as he faced Suzy who went back for her coffee. He felt his nose twitch a little at the older girl’s teasing. “Most of the time I don’t plan on getting to the second date.” he replied coolly, before blinking at Suzy. “I’ll let you know! She might stay for a day or two, she’s still got a school to run. I’ll text you maybe… this week? So we can pick out a day for our catch up session. Cafe?”
@✽ seoham p. 'He's still your dad', 'He's still your family', 'You still share his blood' amongst other statements are often said by her father's accomplices to dissuade her from blowing the whistle. She knew the fact, acknowledge it even, that she can't sever the bond that made them father and daughter even if they rot five meters underground. Still, still, /still/ she won't mourn for him. He was never a father even if she attempted to be a daughter.
Suzy slammed the dryer's door hard as emotion ran through her for a split second. She chewed her inner lip as she patted the machine apologetically before punching the buttons, hoping Seoham didn't manage to catch her momentary outburst. "I won't mourn for him," she repeated, this time it doubled as a vow, before dropping another fact bomb towards her younger friend. "I call him 'father' but I don't acknowleged him as such. If I did, I wouldn't help the prosecutors with insider information on him and his deeds." She pressed the start button on the dryer then threw him a thin smile as she apologized with only an ounce of regret, "Sorry, I made your father lose such a huge trial."
As Seoham agreed on having a catching up session, she brightened up. "Cool! You can hit me up with a text when you're free. My schedules...pretty open these days," she grinned, heading back towards the waiting seat that faced the machine where she left her cup of coffee. Suzy settled down on the seat, listening to updates of Seoham's mother. She chuckled at Seoham not being able to say no to his mother. The older woman was sweet and Suzy can vouch for that. "Blind dates, huh? I can't imagine you ever making it to a second date," she teased. "Oh, tell me when she comes! I'd love to say hi to her."
@✽ keonhee l. she listened attentively, her eyes growing wide as he told his backstory. at first she was a bit taken back but she understood his story. "no more nagging parents? that sounds like a dream," she said, trying to make light of the situation the best she could. "do you like it? being alone with all this?" she asked, having positive intent with her question as her eyes sparkled once more. "it must be nice no? having your own place..own business. im jealous," sooyoung added, sounding a bit playful with her words as her eyes smiled with her.
sooyoung cleared as she caught the slight sight of his shirt riding up and looked down at her shows to not make it any more obvious. "me? well...~" she started, playfully dragging out her words. "i was born and raised here, parents were those very strict my kid has to have something to do with their life parent so they put me into ballet classes the second i started walking," she grinned, looking up at him. "made that my entire personality and moved away to paris after being scouted by a instructor from the most prestigious ballet school there, got very lonely while in paris..did things that would truthfully make my parents pass away if they ever find out. came back here about a year ago due to an injury and now i work at a corner store," she laughed softly, shaking her head as she moved to lean back against the wall. "and now their perfect little daughter is sneaking out during the middle of the night doing god knows what," she finished off her story, pulling the sleeves of the hoodies over her hands.

"that's alright, i've been doing it since high school too." keonhee nodded a few times and took a long drag of his cigarette before sighing softly as he let it all out, looking at sooyoung with a slight smirk. "yeah, i don't have any secrets or anything. i was the youngest child who was neglected rather than actually spoiled, and when i graduated and could handle a business, they left the country and gave me the house, this business, and a bunch of money before telling me to never contact them again."
he shrugged a shoulder and looked down at sooyoung with a cheeky grin on his features, raising an eyebrow down at her before stretching his arms up, his shirt riding up just slightly. "what about you then, fellow chronic oversharer? what's your life story, why are you here?"
@✽ keonhee l. sooyoung looked up at him, hoping for a positive response to her question. a smile immediately appeared on her face, her lips curling as she started to follow him to the back door. watching as he grabbed his necessities, she shoved her hands into the pockets of the hood, nodding at his question. "i think since highschool i have but it's been a couple of months since i last done it," she told him, truthfully as she continued to fiddle with her fingers.
a wave of relief rushed over sooyoung as the other said he was a "chronic oversharer." she finally met someone that was just like her. sooyoung laughed along with him, "i'm glad we're on the same page for that then," she responded to him before glancing up at him, her cheeks heating up as she noticed his smile. "well! what would you like to know," she said, pushing herself off from the wall and placing her hands on her hips as she stood in front of him. "i'm an open book..so don't worry about keeping secrets or any of that sorts," she had a silly grin to her, her eyes sparkling as she looked up at him.
@✽ keonhee l. “I am so proud of you! My y criminal mastermind. I will not be able to bail you out of jail, should you get caught, but I will bust you out.” The woman replied, making sure to wink flirtatiously at him right up until he said that he missed her. It was hard to hide the eye roll and then the grumble as she clicked her tongue against her teeth and shook her head. “Careful not, we are approaching treacherous ground and we both know better.”
Areum pulled the wrapper from around the top of the bottle and then began to try and pry the cork out of it. After a few attempts she walked back over to him and handed it over without even a word about it. “Well, I am back. I as a resident but that will surprise no one. My bedside manner is absolute garbage and I don’t particularly like dealing with sick strangers all day.” She answered, careful to keep the focus on anything other than the real reason she returned. It was strange, she would rather be seen as a failure than to let him in. “How’s the band?”
@✽ areum k. "well i have a weed farm now." keonhee laughed as he finally set areum down onto her feet, letting her take a spot on the desk before leaning against a dryer by the back wall. "doing pretty good for myself, honestly. and i did miss you, silly. i do have real feelings, you know." he shook his head at her words and smiled softly, running a hand through his hair.
"what about you, noona? what have you been up to lately?" he hopped up onto the dryer and swung his feet happily, glad that his friend was back after a long time of being away.
@✽ sooyoung h. keonhee blinked a few times at sooyoung's words before realising that he had been quiet for too long, and he nodded eagerly (he hoped not *too* eagerly, of course) before standing up. "yeah, we can go out back to the alley. i definitely need a cigarette, but i need some weed too. you smoke?" he motioned to the back and grabbed his pack of smokes from the back office before grabbing a joint and shoving them into his pocket, getting his lighter out and opening the backdoor for her to exit before he followed.
"no, you don't- i'm worse, i promise you. i'm a chronic oversharer for sure!" keonhee laughed and lit up a cigarette first, holding out the lit lighter for her before pocketing it. he leaned against the alley wall and blew the smoke up into the air before sighing softly, looking down at sooyoung with a smile on his lips. "i wanna get to know you more too, believe me."
