@✽ heejin j. Seoham responded to her automatically, with his body language moving quicker than his mind. He shrugged and nodded at the small female, their words easily overlapping since he wasn’t thinking properly as he spoke. “Not much of a late welcome, I’ve been visiting this place up until I was like nine or ten years old– wait what?” He swiftly turned his body, now almost fully facing her. He knew that Dandelion was a very small town, and it was unlikely that people, especially the older ones, would have similar names. “There’s only one Kim Dohee from this town as far as I know… did you…” He trailed off, wondering if he should out his mother’s name. Seoham knew his mother had siblings, though he hadn’t seen them in years. “Do you know a Kwon Jangmi? Perhaps like… an aunt or the cousin of your mother or something…”

@✽ seoham p. The woman wasn’t particularly sure what she could do right now except just scroll through her phone as she didn’t quite bring anything else with her minus the usual necessities she always has with her in her small purse. She’d assume this calming walk of hers wouldn’t last that long with any interruptions or unexpected surprises being thrown her way. Well she can’t always predict how days or nights go when it’s planned, no one can control what life may decide happens to you so you’d just have to simply deal with it.

Oh he spoke up again. “Yeah. Oh, Seoul? That’s nice.” Heejin answers, and plops her phone down onto her lap as she places her attention on the tall male once again. She didn’t know how the conversation would go, whether it’ll be boring or nah but him mentioning the following two names caught her interest. Kim Dohee.. That’s a familiar name, very familiar as it’s one of her grandparents' names too. Now how would she bring that bit up too? Just straight off the bat kind of like how the male did as well? What a coincidence. “Well, I shall give you a late welcome to Dandelion, because why not? Oh.. Kim Dohee… ? That's the name of one of my family members too, a grandparent. Huh..” Wow, Heejin didn’t think this’ll ever happen to her, she’d meet a possible person from her family though one she didn’t meet before? Or did she? We’ll just have to wait and see until any possible truths come out from hiding in the dark.

@✽ heejin j. ( ) it's fine!

His hand was slowing down on his sketchpad, though he didn’t mind, it’s not like he was currently on a deadline while casually drawing trees on a park bench during a nice day. He did feel some ease between them as she was now responding to him in longer sentences, even if they didn’t know each other’s names. With that ease, came along his probably misguided confidence to take a good look at her. His expression was not something pleasant, his face crooked as he tried to seriously retrieve the memory of where he had seen her. He was sure if they met at a grocery or something, he would have forgotten her. But she was too familiar for her to be a nobody to him.

“Ah, I see.” he replied lowly, his hands finally settled when he stopped drawing to make decent attentive conversation. “I was actually born and raised in Seoul, but I moved here early last year…” He hesitated, wondering if he should reveal the next bit of information. Ah, it. It’s not like he had anything to hide, and this girl didn’t seem like the weird stalker type. “My grandparents and mother were from Dandelion before she moved to Seoul. I used to visit my grandparents as a kid, Kwon Byungho and Kim Dohee.” That was probably too much information, but he was already rambling faster than his mind could stop. He guessed he’d be making a new friend that day in the park.

@✽ seoham p. {) sorry on the late response ;;

heejin momentarily brushed some of her hair out of her face and shrugged her shoulders after the peculiar question of his, the previous one at least, as this following one wasn’t too strange. She could somewhat see why the male might ask ‘can i help you’ as she was curiously peeking in his direction but honestly speaking, she’d been glancing because it felt like she knew him? But from where? Did they randomly encounter one another like somewhere in public or a day to day walk on the town streets? Then again it could be a meet from when she was very young and couldn’t remember much. Yeah, any of those could be a plausible reason.

You’ll never discover the truth unless it is brought into the light for any known or unknown reason. Oh. Would you look at that.. She glanced back over at him, or in his direction as it was merely not far from her. Yes. She is born and raised here in this unique small town, is he one too? “Huh? Yeah I never really left… though I wish I did, even if it was for a bit.. Well. How about you?” she responds, simply asking him the same question to perhaps keep the conversation going as it may seem like it could be going somewhere on the hunch of whether they're complete strangers to one another or not.

"a date? i wouldn't mind a date," she smiled up at him, finding it adorable how dal knew exactly what his father was doing.

'please, my dad thinks you're pretty and this is his way of asking you on a date.' dal spoke matter-of-factly and cause seoho to blush as he ducked his head, and the adult whined before lifting it back up to look at yuri with a smile. “ All you who sleep tonight
Far from the ones you love,
No hands to left or right,
And emptiness above –
Know that you aren’t alone.
The whole world shares your tears,
Some for two nights or one,
And some for all their years. “ (All you who sleep tonight, Vikram Seth)

That empty feeling in one’s stomach, that feeling of guilt and nerves and fear. Those were the feelings guiding Doyoung tonight as he walked along the sidewalk. His visit at the hospital had left little to no hope for him and his family. His father had still looked just as week as the last visit, his memories hazy as it took him an hour to finally get his son’s name out of his lips. It was a hard few weeks, a discussion being set that a dosage increase would be put into action and that visits would be more restricted. Doyoung hated it, hated this. Hated how little he could do to really help his father. Deep down he knew it wasn’t his fault, it’s not like he can control how the world works or how the people survive. He knew that already, he just couldn’t shake away the feelings. A son that can only do so much for his father yet it still not be enough.

The sun had started to set, the warmth and comfort slowly fading into nothingness…

The sky was already turning dark by the time he noticed how far off he had walked. The greyish hues that were covering the clouds indicated it’d be night before he knew it. A soft string of curses left his lips and the sudden wind that passed by him, body instinctively shivering as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. The hospital itself had their visiting hours over not too long ago and he could see his father’s room was dark now. “At least one of us can rest right now..” his words were soft, a sadness in his eyes that sparkled with the hint sign of tears building up. Quickly, his hand was brought towards his face to wipe them away, not wanting to waste the night crying like he did last week.

It was said that father’s are a sons best friend, a role model even. Doyoung couldn’t agree more. His father had always been his go to, his role model, the person he aspired to be. Even after his father got diagnosed, the man simply pushed through. He went to all of Doyoung’s ceremonies, went to his pop up gallery, even was there on the opening of his studio. He couldn’t have been prouder of being able to call this man his father. Yet life was and is cruel, always taking and taking- never giving back. He wanted to scream, wanted to yell, wanted to do something. But instead he just kept walking, eyes scanning around and taking in the silent atmosphere as his thoughts ate him up inside.

Was it always going to be this way? Would he always be stuck living like this? Would he ever get the chance to create new memories, or would he have to rely on pictures and recountings from family and friends?

He had passed by a few older ladies who were still out trying to sell things along the sidewalk. One of them, an old friend of his father, had spoken up, asking about him with a sympathetic smile. He wanted to tell the truth, wanted to cry out and yell about the bad news he received, about the frowns the doctors gave him… but he couldn’t. As much as he wanted to tell everyone the truth, he couldn’t. He simply smiled, told them his father seemed to be doing great, and then wished them a good night (after buying multiple lollipops and other cheap treats they were offering). Lying was never good, his father had taught him to only ever tell the truth. But he couldn’t bring himself to be truthful, couldn’t speak about how his father was actively getting worst as the days go by. He didn’t want that image in people’s heads. He wanted them to remember how strong he was, how caring and how thoughtless he was. He couldn’t let that image leave their minds in place for something much more sad and worrying.

“ Twinkling and glimmering, bright bursts until it all fades into nothing… “

The sky was dark, the stars slowly getting more and more obvious as he looked up. It was pretty, definitely the best thing he had seen in a while. A part of him wished he had his camera on him, mentally clicking away images that could’ve looked absolutely stunning on a portfolio. He shrugged, sighing softly as he grabbed one of the lollipops he had bought before unwrapping it and putting it in his mouth. His meal for the night now consisting of a black coffee from the hospital and a chupa chups that was luckily orange flavored.

There was still light chatter around the park, a few couples enjoying a night time picnic, some friends taking pictures of one another, and a few kids playing as their parents watched closely. He smiled a bit, happy to see others having a great life and enjoying their loved ones. Of course he was a bit jealous, but a part of him just loved to see happy people. His thoughts were suddenly disrupted as he felt his shirt being pulled on. He stumbled a bit, feet moving to keep himself steady before he turned around to face the woman who was smiling at him. Brows furrowing, he stared at her confusion. The smell of alcohol was on her, and based off of her slurred words it was obvious she was drunk (or at least insanely buzzed). “Woah, woah.. hold on..” He let out a nervous chuckle, confusion still on his face as he repeated her words in his head. A hard day? Well, looking at her condition that wasn’t exactly surprising. “Hard day, huh? I guess I can relate to you with that..” the question was surprising and left him a bit taken back. “Have you.. I mean, have you at least been drinking water? You seem like you might’ve had a couple drinks..” It wasn’t his place to ask her questions about how she goes about her night, but he couldn’t help but worry. A woman obviously alone, drunk, and walking around the park at night, of course a part of him is going to worry. If he were to watch the stars with her that could at least make sure she’s more safe than just walking around wherever. So with his thoughts made up, he nodded, small smile tugging up on his lips as he hummed. “You know what? I’d love to.. tonight, they look amazing.. nothing better than being able to see art just by looking up in the night sky.” He stared up at the sky for a few seconds before smiling over at her. “I’m Doyoung.. who are you?”

"i'll have to take a closer look next time! i always thought that they only grew vegetables there," he said with a bashful chuckle. "actually, can i get your name?" he asked, feeling grateful for the woman's kindness. "you know mine, but i'm afraid i don't know yours!"

minho nodded again. "i just got off work, actually. it seems like we both have similar methods of spending time outside of work," he said, pointing out their similarity. he hummed quietly as he heard the woman's update. "guess that's part and parcel of your job. will it be difficult?" he asked, partly out of curiosity and partly because of some care he felt towards this acquaintance. "for me, it's the opposite: the same old thing. life's kinda static now," he said with a shrug.

"Oh, not for me, you are not working either it seems? today is my day off.. as is tomorrow, so I decided to come to the park to enjoy the scenery..." her voice, quietly turning into a slight mumble. Yuqi had just worked the past week, so taking a walk on her time off to get some fresh air was , as one could say, wonderfully needed. While making her way to the park , she occasionally picked some flowers before chuckling to herself after getting lost in her thoughts.
Pausing a moment she started at a guy who looked familiar, yet she was uncertain also , due to only seeing him once before in his uniform. "Well, here goes nothing!"
She ran over to him and pulled out a few flowers, grinning a little while tapping him on his shoulder. " Hello there, best baker boy. HA!"

@✽ yuqi s. [] this took longer than expected... thank you so much for waiting!

the good thing about being an adult was the amount of agency one would get. minho had just gotten off work in the afternoon, working the early shift that day, and he thought about what he could do for the rest of the day. back in his school days, he would surely have had to return home to finish up homework before he could do whatever his heart desired. however, as an adult, minho could now choose to take an afternoon stroll in the park and bask in the sunshine.

minho didn't have a particular destination in mind, simply wandering around the park, eyes peeled open for any stray cats he could hang out with. but otherwise, he was perfectly content with just walking in nature.

@✽ seoho l. yuri had glanced up once and spotted the male with orange hair, thinking that was probably dal's older brother, not thinking he would be his father till he spoke. her eyes sparkled at their interaction, a smile plastered to her face as she looked between the two. a soft laugh left her lips as dal scolded his father, eyes disappearing into a smile as she looked over at seoho. "he's an angel! very well in knowing not to talk to strangers too but i'm glad he was able to trust me," she praised, smiling even wider as she bowed her head. "dal-ah, do you want the rest of the sweet potato? you can share it with your appa, no?" she asked, holding the bag out for him to take. @✽ heejin j. Seoham’s lips automatically tucked into his mouth as she immediately shut him down with a ‘no.’ He wasn’t surprised of course, but the embarrassment ran through him slightly no matter what. That was not something you really say to a stranger anyway. If she was even a stranger, that part bothered him more than it should. Relieved to hear her say she was willing to have some of his gum, he pulled out an individually wrapped stick of the candy, settling it on the bench and pushing it towards her, nodding politely before quickly getting back to his work. His right hand practically flew over the paper, the felt tip pen being handled by an expert as he drew the surroundings around them. It was good background drawing practice for his work, as well as a nice change since he normally did digital drawings on his tablet these days, instead of traditional drawing.

Even if he was looking away from the female, a part of his brain was nagging at him to ask the stupidest question: if he knew her, or if she knew him. “Are you originally from here?” he ended up blurting out, his stupid mind getting the best of his mouth. It was a stupid question to ask, but he was aware a good number of Dandelion residents weren’t exactly born and raised there, himself included. Who knows, maybe his grandparents knew her family as they were pretty well known Dandelion citizens back then.

@✽ seoho l. it was a bright and sunny day in dandelion and yuri had just finished with her shift at the elementary. she had made her way down to the near by park, a usual shortcut back to her apartment, when she had noticed a little boy looking lost, wandering around as if he was searching for someone. her very strict teacher instincts were first to kick in as she fixed the back on her shoulder before carefully approaching the lost boy. "oh hello," she spoke, her voice soft as honey and immediately catching the boys attention. "are you lost? do you need help finding your parent?" she asked, looking around to see if there was any parent that seemed to be searching for their child.

it did take a few minutes for her to gain his trust, it was quite understandable too. she was able to contact the boys father, letting him know exactly where the two would be as she picked him up. "are you hungry, dal? do you want something to eat?" she asked as she nodded towards the corner store just a minute walk away. "noona will get you anything okay?" she added with a smile as she gently patted dal's head, a name she kept repeated to herself so she wouldn't forget. the two were later sat on a park bench, her big coat wrapped around the youngers small body as the two ate their warm sweet potatoes, waiting for dal's father to arrive.

@✽ minjeong k. Yunho was having a normal night for someone who had just gotten off his shift at work, he changed into his normal attire of a black plain tshirt, denim jeans and sneakers. As he exit the station after saying goodnight to his buddies until he sees them in the morning once again he made his way to his place to quickly change into work out gear as he was going to jog before eating and then sleeping.

Once he changed to his gray joggers, running shoes and a navy blue tshirt he put on his earbuds and popped them into his ears before heading to the nearby park. He reached the park and started to stretch for a bit before beginning his afternoon jog, while he got zoned into his alternative music as he jogged down the pathway for citizens, he turned a corner only to be suddenly caught off guard by another body standing slightly in the middle of the path and almost bumped into her but barely stopped in the knick of time with a gasp. “Oh crap!” He stated before reaching his hand up to pull out an earbud and met his face with the odd woman who just seemed like she was focused on something else. “You know…blocking the jogging path won’t do you any justice in stalking.” He stated casually with a perked brow and then sighed as he was thankful he didn’t bombard into her because someone could have been injured.

@✽ yunho j. It had been just another regular night for Minjeong, here she was, out and about looking for another needed target. Now who was it she’s after? Just someone who needs some sense being talked into. Don’t worry she’s not the type of crazy to fully kill , hell, she’ll only do that if it’s fully necessary. The woman had a lead after she was given the correct information by nobody other than the police force. Yeah, she had to work with the law.. those who sometimes find her as bad, but she really isn’t.. Minjeong knows right from wrong, occasionally..

Here she was, running after the guy through any back way streets, of course must be avoiding any unwanted or regular citizens who may try to get the cops involved when they’re really not needed right now. Okay, enough of that.. the woman emitted an annoyed huff-like sigh as she followed the person, going through the roads on foot until in the distance, she spotted what looked to be maybe the local park. “Oh .” She muttered to herself, because you may never know who’s out in the park at this hour and what they may be up to.

Minjeong glanced back to the front of her and her eyes widened by surprise. Where did he go? God damnit, she lost her focus for all of a mere moment and the person she’d been after completely disappeared.. or he could simply be hiding. Okay, got to look for any trees, bushes, any more. Her orbs began to scan or study the surroundings, attempting to keep guard if possible in case life chooses to throw something or perhaps.. /someone/ in her way. Who knows what’ll happen, huh? We’ll just have to wait and see.

@✽ seoham p. heejin raised a lil brow for a moment as she wondered to herself as with the fact that just from the sound of the startled bonk noise, did that hurt? Okay, yes probably.. it’s a park bench for damn’s sake. Oh well, it wasn’t too much of a disturbance, so it didn’t seem to really bother her.

the woman shrugged off that incident which did ruin her peace but it’s understandable if it was merely a clumsy motion. heejin pulled out her phone from her pocket or wherever it had laid previously and switched it on. Now she didn’t quite bring a physical book or something else while on her trip to the local park, but it’s oh well.. maybe next time at least. “oh. hii, no?” She answered to the taller male who sat beside her, her voice tone sounding partially confused by the random question from the latter, then again they don't really know each other.. at least She doesn’t quite recognize the man, but she could be wrong. Well, maybe that was a question of his all of a sudden.. it seemed like it was at least. “Hm? Sure I’ll have a piece “ she muttered, her gaze turned to him briefly to answer him.
