@✽ jaemin n. kunhang grinned widely when the door opened with jaemin standing there, and he stepped forward to quickly wrap him up in a hug before pulling away. "god, it's been so long man, it's good to see you!" he straightened up happily and clapped his hands together, bringing a hand up to ruffle jaemin's hair playfully as he stepped into the house. "how's your grandmother doing, jaem?"
@✽ kunhang w. Jaemin had decided that this morning needed a bit of music so selecting a quiet song from his playlist he set the phone down next to him on the counter. This was about the only thing he used his phone for, finding little interest in social media and having little to no contact through it due to his notorious unreliability in answering messages.
Jaemin worked with practiced efficiency, dicing and sauteing vegetables in time with the music, following the same almost choreographed steps he did every morning until a loud knock came from the front door. With a glance at the clock and a small grimace he schooled his features back into a neutral expression and turning the heat down on the stove he went to answer the door.
Despite his best efforts to hide his thought process jaemin opened the door, an expression of faint suspicion quickly melting into shock and then pleasant surprise. " Hendery!"
@✽ jaemin n. once the restaurant was open and business started booming, kunhang realised that jaemin had never replied to his text message once he had gotten back into town. he decided it was best to swing by the farm, and after checking the time, he knew that jaemin would certainly be at home still before going wherever it was he went. he ran a hand through his hair and walked down the street before making it to the farm, and he knocked on the door loudly enough to make sure anybody inside could hear.
Upon hearing there was a farm combined with a petting zoo, Yuqi couldn't help herself, after finishing work for the day , and fighting off her exhaustion she made her way, almost running to the farm , all excited to see,what they had. "I want to pat the ducks, no the chickens, see the sheep um um." She really could not make up her mind, one thing she was glad about though, was not changing out of her uniform, she would, after all, rather be wearing her steel cap boots instead of a pair of slippery flip flops, knowing about how muddy farms could become.
Jaemin let out a soft huff as he straightened up, resting his weight on the empty stable rake in his hand. With the last horse stall clean the barn was spotless again, each stall clean with fresh bedding and the central breezeway swept clean of debris. With practiced efficiency Jaemin rolled the wheelbarrow out the back and over to the compost heap, emptying the contents and stowing the wheelbarrow against the back of the barn. Mentally running through the morning chores checklist he confirmed that he had completed the list and it was time to head inside to start making breakfast.
The house was silent when he entered, silent but not empty or sterile. The silence of a lived-in house before the residents start to stir. Jaemin glanced at the clock as he made his way into the kitchen, pleased to see that he was a bit ahead of schedule this morning. Perhaps he could linger at the coffee shop for a bit longer and get more of the town gossip before heading to work.
Setting a kettle on the stove to heat he got to work.
