@han jisung "Taiyaki sounds delicious, can we get that too, prez?" her eyes sparkled as she clapped her hands while looking at you after you mentioned about the taiyaki. She always had a thing for sweet snacks and taiyaki happened to be one of her most favorite one. "But that's an interesting choice of drink flavor though, sunbaenim. White peach green milk tea...wont your tongue get confused at the taste?" Wonyoung chuckled playfully before standing up, pointing to the counter with a smile "This one is my treat~ So sit back and relax. And nope, I wont accept any buts." A grin appeared on her lips just before she skipped over towards the counter to put their order and returned after about five minutes with a desk bell. "It'll buzz when our order is ready. Anyway, thank for coming out here with me, Jisung sunbaenim."

@jang wonyoung Feeling a little enlightened by her answer, his brows knit for a moment as he mulls over the idea of maybe grabbing a strawberry milk tea himself. But he sticks to his initial choice for something a bit more strong in taste and nods once to her question with a broad smile. "I'm thinking of trying something new and a little extra honestly. I figured doing something new with others helps create a nice experience. they have a white peach green milk tea I think I wanna try. What about you? I think they also have taiyaki if you wanna try those"

@han jisung She gave the older male a small smile as she takes a seat on the chair he pulled, the act of gentlemanship he displayed elicit a soft chuckle out of her. At the question, Wonyoung nodded a little "mmh, I came here once before with my classmates. And I have to say that their strawberry milk tea boba is my favorite. So have you decided what to get, Jisung sunbaenim?"
han jisung [A] 11 months ago
@jang wonyoung lost in thought a moment as he people watched, his eyes widened a bit on surprise when she appeared and he stood from the seat he had taken to immediately bow back and offer her a seat, pulling out her chair for her before going to sit on the other side with a warm smile. "Sit sit, not at all, it gave me time to really figure out what I might like since I've never been here before. Have you?"
jang wonyoung 11 months ago
@han jisung Once she was ready to go out, Wonyoung made her way to the boba cafe. Hair tied up in a ponytail, she fixed few strays hair before entering the cafe, eyes immediately scanned the area to spot the older male. Once she found him, she quickly made her way to the table, bowing to him when she's near. "Hello Jisung sunbaenim! Sorry, did I make you wait long?"
han jisung [A] 11 months ago
@jang wonyoung backing into an open parking spot on the street, I take a moment to check my phone for any new messages before hopping out and locking my door so I can head in to meet you once you get here, looking over the menu once inside as I take in the ambience silently.

@xu minghao 'gorgeous.' that single word echoed in yunjins brain over and over again. the smile that already had made an appearance on her lips grew wider and larger than it should have from just a simple compliment. that of course - from a very very handsome man.

waiting a beat, yunjin opened to respond before a sudden vibration made an audible noise from below her elbow. scanning the table for what could have been the culprit, she was quick to find his phone to be the one going off. flickering her gaze back up to his to see if he was going to take it or not, she was undoubtedly a bit down casted that he relayed his departing. however, she was unwilling to show her dejectedness as she bared her same smile — after all, she was just a /gorgeous/ stranger he just met.

taking his phone, she clicked on the photo icon to take a selfie before filling in the contacts name of 'gorgeous yunjin'. leaving her number in the correct spot, she slid the phone right on over before raising her hand to wave him off - looking up at him with a large pair of chocolate doe eyes that feigned a tinge of innocence that accented her tone as she spoke, "until we meet again, handsome."

@huh yunjin He supposed that he could not really be surprised that the woman caught his staring, was he not doing it brazenly. He was fully aware that there was a possibility she could see, her beautiful, brown eyes staring right back at him. Of course she would catch his gaze wandering, flitting to every part of her face that wasn't her eyes. Not that he cared. Matter of fact, her noticing and bringing it up amused him, especially with the words that followed.

He could not hide the smile that spread across his face, reaching his eye with a glimmer of mischief at the corners. He leaned back against his chair, propping his elbow up on the arm rest so he could rest his chin upon his knuckles, eyes never leaving her own. It was as if he was challenging her, with that little raise of his brow, the smile that accompanied it a little coy.

"Forgive me"—he wasn't apologetic at all, but it was for the sake of being polite—"I just think you're gorgeous."

It was his turn to be straightforward. He had nothing to lose for it, really, and there was no harm in complimenting a girl who had done just the same for him. He opened his mouth to continue speaking until his phone vibrated on the table. He let it be, for a moment, until it vibrated again. A call. Possibly from the group he had forgotten about agreeing to a study session with.

With a heavy sigh, he declined the call, pressed on the screen a few more times, and slid it across the table. On the screen was a page for creating a new contact.

"I suppose we can continue this conversation for another time, beautiful," he smiled, swiftly tucking his belongings away into his black, leather messenger bag. He stood up and waited patiently for her to put in her number.

huh yunjin 11 months ago
@xu minghao a model-esque chinese male with a cultural influence from spain in which he spent the past four years studying something along the terms of the sciences. if that hadn't set yunjins 'hot' meter off, she wasn't sure what could. how did someone like minghao end up at this university? sure it was filled to the brim with international students with varying backgrounds, but he seemed to be the odd one out that yunjin couldn't quite put her finger on.

over aware of the fact that minghao was looking at her for far too long, she almost flat out asked him if he was, "are you staring at me?" her nose scrunched as her lips turned up into a content smile, her eyes narrowing in a way that made them not look as large as usual. "that either means that i have something in my teeth or you're admiring me minghao. you're cute."

was she being straightforward? perhaps, but what was there to hide besides the obvious actions that were taking place? in her mind, her banter was meant to keep things light hearted and engaging - and hopefully she was doing just that, "why medical school? and oh - i would love to, but a lady never shows her work on the first meeting. maybe the second or third if we just so happen to cross paths again?"
shen xiaoting 11 months ago
@huh yunjin American. Of course. He could tell by her strong accent, the way she pronounced words as if each consonant mattered, vowels drawn and rounded out. It suited her, he thought. Not that it was important, nor did it matter. A pretty face would suit any accent, really. But perhaps he paid extra attention to it because, the longer she spoke, the longer he had to take in her features—big, rounded eyes, a tall nose, and a pretty pair of full, rosy lips. Surrounding that was a head of flowing black hair, that brightened her fair complexion. Or perhaps it was the remnants of the afternoon light, the sun setting and casting a beautiful, golden glow upon her skin.

He knew he was staring. And while he was impolite to do so, he could not help it. She truly was one of the most beautiful he had ever laid eyes on.

"Chinese," he answered simply. "Though, I transferred from Spain after finishing my four year program there. I'm a first year medical student, now. Digital arts, however—would you let me see your work?"
huh yunjin 11 months ago
@xu minghao the uptick of his mouth did nothing to hide his curiosity from her. so, he was also a first year on campus? he didn't look like a freshman, what with his mature look and sharp jaw line. minghao looked like a man who experienced a thing or two at the very least, not just a boy stepping into his first year in college. however, he was a bit soft spoken despite his straightforward tone. the slight accent from the dark horse before her did throw her off however - where was he from?

"oh no, i'm the same. just asked because if i'm new and i haven't seen you around like some of the more prominent upper classman - then maybe you're like me. i actually started at the beginning of the term as well - i'm a digital arts major with an emphasis in graphic design. second year." spilling all too much for the standard first meeting, she continued on whilst playing with the tip of her straw - keeping direct eye contact with the male. "korean, yes. but i moved to new york at a young age with my family up until college. and you, minghao? are you..."

@huh yunjin He could not hide his amusement when the right side of his lips quirked upwards, and a soft chuckle emerged from the back of his throat. Yunjin was the most forward person he had met in a while, not only in the university but also elsewhere. The girls in Spain weren't as talkative from the start. Usually they would be a little more shy, a little more giggly. Girls often put up a demure façade before displaying their real selves. However, in this instance, Minghao could not help but feel that Yunjin was being entirely herself. She looked far more comfortable than most people, even himself, talking to someone she never met before.

"I have been here since the start of the course term, so since last year. I have just been doing my best to settle in and focus on my studies before focusing on other things. I am assuming you have been a student here, for a while? Otherwise you would not ask." He paused, reaching forward to pick up and take a sip of his drink. He set it down, and met the girl's chocolate gaze again. "Yunjin. Are you Korean?"
huh yunjin 11 months ago
@xu minghao it was hard to decide whether it was his short and simple response or his striking gaze that made yunjins interest in the male - minghao - spike. he left more to be wanted, and yunjin was more than willing to bite and take the bait, whether he meant to or not. trying to wave away the thoughts that made this converstation seem like the start to a game of 'getting the hot boy on campus talk to you', she replied.

"oh? i love vietnamese coffee. it's thickness and depth is, mh, so good." glancing down to her drink, she raised it up in her grasp to admire the green drink for a split second before taking a sip through her straw of the latte.

"this is a matcha latte, and this-" setting down her cup, she took the opportunity to point to herself with a content smile, "is yunjin. huh yunjin. it's nice to meet you. are you new on campus, i don't think i've seen you before..."

@huh yunjin It was easy for Minghao to fall into his usual routine of note taking, parsing through his typed notes and drawing it out on a separate notepad on his tablet. Unlike many of the students sitting at this café, he omitted a pair of earphones or headphones, choosing to let the busy atmosphere of employees taking orders, customers entering and leaving, coffee beans grinding, and blenders whirring become the white noise that helped him focus on the task. Not even the slightly too-loud chatter at the table beside them distracted him.

Yet, when the woman who occupied the seat in front of him spoke, his attention had easily shifted. He had forgotten she was there, and perhaps for good reason. He hadn't seen anyone so beautiful on campus before her. He would have been distracted, otherwise. But perhaps he could put a pause on studying to make a new friend.

Setting his digital pencil down, he straightened in his seat, dark eyes meeting her gaze with barely veiled interest. He was amused, of course, not only because this woman had the guts to interrupt his studies, but also because her eyes were of the color of chocolates, warm and oh, so pretty.

"Vietnamese coffee," he answered, glancing at the drink he barely took a sip of. "Minghao. And you?"

@xu minghao while yunjin didn't have a voice in mind when she first laid eyes on the stranger, she for sure didn't expect the soft soothing tone that filled her ears like a soft alluring call. the male sat before her had an intriguing look with a visual she couldn't quite explain, but it surely had her doing a double take. as she took her seat across from him, her eyes scanned across his items to get a feel for what he was doing - something along the lines of an assignment perhaps? "thank you," she said in an even tone with a small smile on her plump pair.

the next few minutes consisted of yunjin pulling out her ipad to sketch on, her laptop to play a few videos while she worked, and her agenda to check for upcoming deadlines that she needed to meet. settled in, she took a deep breath while putting a single airpod in to /try/ and get some work done. emphasis on /try/. it took no longer than 5 minutes before her attention was drawn back to the long haired male, her cheek pressed up against the palm of her hand as she suddenly spoke, "whatcha drinking mister....what's your name?"

@huh yunjin There was curiosity shining in his dark eyes as he stepped foot into the campus' nearby coffee shop, which he had been pointed towards by his peers in the university group chat. The coffee shop was larger than most he had been to in the past, but it made sense, did it not open its doors to caffeine-addicted university students who needed ambiance to study.

After purchasing a Vietnamese iced coffee, he sat down at the only table available, which had just been cleared by a group of students who were chattering about some kind of lecture they were not looking forward to. Minghao wondered what kind of lecture would earn such disgruntled conversations, until he remembered that many were just like that. And so he did not think about it any longer as he set up his table, laptop and iPad in front of him so he could get started on his notes.

He did not manage to get through half of a page of his lecture notes when someone approached him—black, long hair cascading over an athletic frame, tall stature towering over him. And between all of that, a pretty face. A very pretty face at that, speaking the most simple question with an intriguingly sweet voice.

Minghao offered the girl a smile and gestured to the seat directly in front of him. "Not at all. Go ahead."
huh yunjin 11 months ago
@xu minghao "what a ing list..." a simple disgruntled mutter pressed from between yunjins lips as she entered past the double doors of the nearby coffee shop. having spent the past couple of days locked up in the qt pi house to brave through the worst of her gifted cramps from mother nature, she decided an iced matcha and some sunlight would do the trick to get her back into society. that and the excuse to brush on some makeup and put on her new corduroys. with a receipt and drink in her hand a few moments after entering the shop, yunjins eyes scanned over the scarce tables... that is until her line of sight narrowed in on a spacious table occupied by a lone male and his few supplies. 'handsome.' she thought as she approached the dark oak table, fingertips grazing the empty space across from him as she spoke up - a small confident smile pressed on her lips, "is this seat taken?"
lee minho 11 months ago
@yang jeongin he was probably imagining it, but it almost seemed as if jeongin was interested in what he had to say. his interest to their conversations was never anything out of the ordinary, it was just this time around he almost seemed overly focused. "i'm surprised too," he nearly whispered, letting his mind wander for a few seconds until jeongin pulled him back out. the sudden change in topic was strange, yet he chalked it up to him probably overthinking it again. minho's eyes glanced in the direction of jeongin's nod, quickly nodding in agreement. "that's fine with me. i probably need the fresh air anyways." raising to his feet again, minho shoved his belongings back inside his pocket, easily grabbing the trash with one hand and holding the other out to jeongin to grasp, naturally out of habit. "thank you again for today."
yang jeongin 1 year ago
@lee minho jeongin shifted to the front half of his chair as he leaned forward, the opening of minho's explanation already rather intriguing. it wasn't the first time that he felt like he could listen to minho talk all day. except, as minho continued to talk, jeongin felt, ever so slightly, a prick in his heart. now minho wasn't just talking about a type, it was a person. jeongin paused. wasn't this a good thing for his friend? putting on a smile, he said, "that's interesting. i'm surprised there's someone you can't read, given the fact you literally study about it." despite the slight stinging feeling, jeongin definitely did feel happy for minho, that his friend was perhaps giving romance a second chance. even so, jeongin figured he probably just needed some time to process the fact. a change of topic would probably be good. "if you're done, shall we take a walk?" nodding to the view outside the window, jeongin continued, "to help with digestion and since the weather's good!"
lee minho 1 year ago
@yang jeongin minho chewed on his straw for a moment, putting the cup down on the table so that he could lean back in his chair, arms folded across his chest in thought. he once learned that the current position he was in was a possible sign of anxiety in another person, but he didn't have much time to dwell on psychology or body language, not when he was debating on if he should continue the topic he had started. "given my major, i've always been somewhat of a people observer. i know it sounds weird, but i swear this will start to make sense soon." minho, this time, offered a smile, in hopes that jeongin was still taking him seriously. "i usually get to know people through how they act. of course, conversation helps, but you learn a lot about a person through their actions. it's always frustrated me when i could never figure somebody out, but recently, i've found that there's one person whom i haven't been able to for the first time in a long time. i'm not nearly as frustrated as i should be."
yang jeongin 1 year ago
@lee minho jeongin thought about minho's words, face creasing into a frown as he tried to compare their mutual friends to the rubric minho had given him. some names did seem to fit so... maybe? but again, his train of thought derailed to wondering if jeongin himself was a good person, but jeongin put a hard brake to that. "you definitely deserve to have a good person by your side," he said, well aware of minho's past relationship. yet again, minho's words had jeongin raising his eyebrows in curiosity as he asked, "what did you discover?" jeongin realised he was way too invested in this, but he still couldn't stop thinking about minho's words at the back of his mind, even as he finished the last drop of his drink. minho was just being modest as usual, jeongin decided.
lee minho 1 year ago
@yang jeongin he made a face at jeongin's comment, but nonetheless laughed after swallowing his final bites of pudding. his type? the first thing that came to mind was jeongin's name itself, but to save him from further embarrassment, he would lay off the flirting for now (even if his red face was insanely adorable). "i think i just like people who are genuinely good people. no matter who's around, their core is never different," minho paused, pushing the empty bowl off to the side and away from them. "but i have recently discovered something about myself that has definitely changed when it comes to somebody i like." it was almost a bit funny; he was saying all these things about the person he liked, while talking to the very person of his own interest. minho swallowed another sip of boba before responding, "actually, not really."
yang jeongin 1 year ago
@lee minho jeongin let out a laugh at minho's revelation, but part of him wondered if it was really true. maybe minho had said things without knowing how it would affect his friend, maybe he didn't even know the effects of his words on jeongin even now. "yeah, as a future psychologist, maybe you could help her with that," he laughed. the sparkle in minho's eyes seemed to mean something, but jeongin didn't know what. "what is your type, actually? i didn't even know you had a type." jeongin combed his memory for other people he might have seen minho say cheesy things to, but noone came to mind. except... jeongin himself. the realisation brought a pink tinge to his face, but he quickly convinced himself that minho had friends outside of their circle. "you must get a lot of practice," jeongin said hastily.
lee minho 1 year ago
@yang jeongin minho hummed an open mouthed 'huh,' but nothing about it was in a questioning way, it was more so to acknowledge what jeongin said while he thought further to himself. "nah, i never flirted with her. i was actually pretty mean to her." at that, he chuckled, bringing his spoon back to his own side to keep eating. the friend in question he had known for a pretty long time. the confession had completely blindsided him. "she told me she liked it when men were mean to her, or something. told her she should get that checked out. and anyways," his eyes once again boring into the younger in front of him, twinkling with something even he didn't know. "she's never been my type. i only flirt with people who are."
yang jeongin 1 year ago
@lee minho confusion was written all over minho's face, and jeongin wondered from which part should he start clarifying himself from. minho's question helped to make the decision for him. he leaned in to let minho feed him the pudding for now, buying himself some time to decide his answer, before pulling back with a 'thanks'. he had been too embarrassed to use this word last time, back when they were talking in jeongin's room, but today he would try. "flirting," he said, once the pudding had gone down his throat. "saying these heart-fluttering things. maybe that's how that girl who confessed to you ended up falling for you," jeongin chuckled. starting to feel more shy having said that, he quickly commented, "the pudding's good, by the way."
lee minho 1 year ago
@yang jeongin the silence startled him, questions filling his brain on if he took it too far, maybe even jeongin pretended not to hear him. at the sound of his friend speaking again, his eyes finally lifted from the table, blinking in just as much confusion as jeongin probably had himself. yeah, right. he's pretending. they both were. jeongin was probably just as flushed because minho caught him off guard. his heart still fluttered at the sight. "so good at what?" he questioned, further studying the younger's face for any hint of discomfort. "telling the truth?" he nearly said, but chewed on his bottom lip again, hand raising to hold the spoon full of pudding for jeongin to eat.
yang jeongin 1 year ago
@lee minho there was some dissonance between minho's words and actions that jeongin couldn't quite wrap his head around. minho was teasing him, clearly unfazed by the joke, but why was his face so flushed? had jeongin actually manage to make minho flustered? the younger was about to gloat about his small victory when minho spoke again. jeongin blinked slowly. his brain was frantically trying to understand if minho was kidding, but it kept going off-track and thinking about minho kissing... jeongin shook off his thoughts, hoping it would shake off the heat in his face with it. "hey, you were the one who started messing around first," he laughed weakly, unable to tease minho further. "but okay, you win." jeongin sighed before taking a sip of his drink, throat feeling a little dry. "i hate how good you are at this sometimes," he chuckled.
lee minho 1 year ago
@yang jeongin minho nearly leaned in, half expecting jeongin to fully give in, give him just the reaction he had expected. luck clearly wasn't on his side today, for jeongin had shocked him for the second time in a row. his face completely reddened, sure he resembled something out of a children's coloring book. "it is one that i'd like to hear, actually. but the stuttering is a close second," he teased, as if his heart wasn't racking rather erratically in his ears. he was silent again, gaze downwards as his spoon slowly scooped up another bite of pudding. "too bad you're only messing around. might've kissed you or something if you were being serious."
