To prepare for move in, I need to nail down some mechanics that'll work best for everyone.
We'll start this coming Friday morning (9 am-ish, EST/GMT -5) and end the following Tuesday (it's all on the calendar linked in the updates room). Move-in is a really simple premise and not an official event, so just a few days should suffice. To make things easy, none of the group plots will have tagging (outside of GOM PD's little ad-ins). It's so tedious to tag groups so just keep an eye out for activity. It's not hard to check a page every now and then.
I also have a question! Would you guys mind if we had group plot blocks, i.e. chunks of time where the group plots will be active? And then, outside of those blocks, the group plot MUST be paused. In the down time, you can focus on individual plots or something idc, but I just want everyone to be able to be included and not be missing out because they had to sleep. Based on general trends/periods where both + and - timezones are able to be active, I'm thinking the following:
⊹ 9am-12pm and 8pm-11pm (both est/gmt -5) for active hours
⊹ 11pm-9am & 12pm-8pm for inactive hours (these are off limits for contributing to the group plots)
If you aren't around for these times, it can't really be helped. But I think they're pretty big windows (8 hours total)
OR, alternatively, we could do a posting order which I'm not huuuge fan of because it feels unnatural. Nobody talks/reacts in order lmao. If we do the first option, let's also use a bit of an honor code. If it looks like one of the previously participating roomies hasn't responded in a few turns, let's stop and wait for them to reply. It'll only be within that time block though. if they haven't responded by an hour into the next block, then their character has simply left the room/house/event location and those present can continue.

This is just a simple housekeeping/planning announcement, so there's not much more to say. Let me know what you think about plot pausing vs post order & any questions you might have. Tell me if you don't plan on participating so we don't have to worry about waiting for you to post (we'll just say you moved in some day between move in and housewarming). If you do end up being able to take part suddenly, let me know before posting. Look out for the announcement at the official start of move in, and an announcement for the first official event (housewarming party!) some days after move in is over.
