to introduce the roleplay after it's first few weeks of opening, we are hosting our very first event dubbed 'the break out'.
in this event, villains imprisoned in any of the three major prisons(the auric bunker, belle reve penitentiary or arkham asylum) will be broken out by fellow villains and brought back into the public. this is your chance to either escape with your life or raise some hell against those who have wronged you. heroes, now is your chance to put your name out in the public, are you going to live up to the expectations of your predecessors or will you cower in the face of potential death? civilians, it's do or die right now, you're caught in the middle of a war and there's bound to be casualties, how do you get away?

— at the time of the break-outs, you are in the immediate area of the chaos and need assistance in getting away. it's probably a good thing that you're surrounded by superheros; if only they'd take a minute and stop destroying the place to pay attention to you.
— it might not be the smartest thing to do but when you hear the news of these events, your first thought is how can you help? or maybe it's how can you get these prisoners sent back to their cells? what do you do in either scenario?
— uh-oh spaghettio's, you've managed to pick the worst possible hiding space: with a villain. How the hell are you going to convince them to let you go?
• hero
— you've been tasked with handling the initial waves of violence at the bunker/belle reve/arkham but you've just heard an ominous explosion from deep within the building; you know that can't be a good sign.
— showing up late wasn't exactly your plan but luckily it seems everything is (mostly) under contr- wait a minute, is that mass super villain ____ getting away? not on your watch they're not!
— make your choice: prevent the escape of a known mass murderer/thief/etc or save a group of civilians from a group of low level thugs.
• villain
— you've been severely injured in a fight against a hero(or even a fellow villain) and need to find somewhere to hide. that apartment building just across the street looks like a good place; hopefully nobody's home.
— there's no better way to guarantee your escape than to take a hostage. and that civilian trapped under debris is the perfect bait, but should you kill them or not? that's the real question now that they've scene your evil lair.

— you weren't a part of this apparently massive underground operation(and your feelings aren't hurt, definitely not, what's that? it's just sweat? are you sure it's not a tear drop?) but that doesn't mean you're not going to take advantage of the countries most powerful resources being entirely directed to the three prisons; after all, you have been meaning to hit up that bank down on main street.
