On behalf of Commander Simon, I would like to announce the fifty-second triannual expedition outside the walls.
Our overarching objective is simple: we must secure and clear out the titan-infested areas in humanity's territory and rebuild the broken gate. To do so, we plan to create a temporary barrier around the broken gate and hold it long enough for others to block the gate.
However, all of us know that with our current resources, this approach is near impossible. To do so would require wagons full of building supplies, and it would take approximately a day to transport that much material through titan-infested territory and to the wall. Carrying the materials on top of the walls is out of the questions - such large carts cannot fit on top of the walls, and the titans have paralyzed our transportation systems.
For now, we are simply establishing a supply checkpoint near the outermost point of the wall, so that when the time comes for us to retake the wall, we will not need to waste wagon space for supplies. Keep in mind that our other goal is still in progress: to discover more about the titans, we will attempt the capture of live titans for experimentation this expedition. To avoid traveling too much in the small, titan-infested district, we will be traveling around the outside of our outermost wall, and will enter the district through the breach created by the colossal titan. Although this approach means we will be fighting in open areas, the Commander and I have deduced that traveling among abandoned streets does not leave enough room for our horses or for us to successfully avoid engaging the titans.
The rules are the same as always. Engage the titans as sparingly as possible. Be wary of your surroundings, remain in formation, and show the titans our strength. We can - and we will - win
