Just have to express how ing OUTDATED AND BACKWARDS my family is..

first off the conversation starts between my sister, her boyfriend and myself.

my sister says she doesn't like how people claim to be gender-neutral. doesn't agree with them saying they don't identify with either .

her argument is that because they are 'assigned' a at birth, that is what they are.

but then she contradicts herself by saying they are allowed to say they are neither man or female but still argues that they should identify with the they were assigned at birth.

now my damn mother who i am constantly getting into these arguments with [ like i hate to admit it but my mom is quite ignorant on several ing topics but she'll argue you over anything and everything ] says that god made us in his image, he made male and female thus you are either male or female.

i told her if she's going to bring religion into it she can because God is neither male or female himself. there are an indeffinite(sp) number of animals including humans who honestly do not have a ! it becomes indetermined because they can be either or. if that is the damn case, then they can say (humans obviously) that they do not identify with either gender.

gender is still a constructed idea, as is everything. my personal opinion.

but if she's going to throw in religion then yell at me, come at me like she's deadass about to fight me then i have all the right to feel like she's a threat. which she is.

they always want to express their opinions but when you want to express yours, it becomes a problem.

honestly, are we going to have an adult conversation or not?

now she all in her damn feelings.

i absolutely REFUSE to speak to them on any of these topics anymore. they are bigots.

deadass, i don't even want to bring my children around them in the future. my child will get to choose how they wise to identify themselves, its their damn right and i will not take that from him.
