I can't do it (ft. EXO)

No matter how hard I try, or want to, I can never get completely into EXO.

I really thought I was making more progress today by sitting down and watching EXO Showtime (eps 3 through 6). But.. I don't know why, some of the members (and other times the group mentality) bother me with their actions and words. [It did however reinforce my love for Suho, Tao, Lay, and Kyungsoo, and make me like Chen a bit more. Perhaps getting a little interested in Kris again. And my views on Baekhyun are bettering, but I still hold bad preconcieved notions of him that I've yet to overcome.]

Being a variety show, and that teasing is on the rise, you see 'rude' actions a lot. But most of the time you can easily take it as joking. I try to think this way, its just a joke, it's just a variety show. And sometimes I even think people who get angry at some idols (esp older idols) need to cool it when it comes to hating on them for being supposedly 'rude' on a show, when it was just a joke.

However, I always seem to take some of the things certain EXO members do as... well plainly rude or disrespectful. Sometimes the pushing around Suho schemes go too far. Well, he is my bias in EXO, so I suppose I pay more attention to him in that fashion. But, he's always working hard and doing as he's told or begged (despite being the leader, and the fourth oldest member), while the other members just relax. Sometimes, okay, its funny to do that to anyone. But it's almost always Suho.

That was making me frustrated. But, then some of the things said and done to Chen and Kyungsoo kinda pushed me overboard into making this blog in order to vent. They were working really hard in extremeish conditions for the members and all they get is critisim and then blown off. Just their expressions and their tone change was enough to know that their feelings got hurt.

I feel Chanyeol gets pushed around a lot to, but he's also a tad ignorant with his words at time so he's helped push around other members too.

I don't know .-.

I really like EXO, although they've never been a top group for me. And I always seem to find reasons to turn away or keep them from being a top group. Most groups have these moments where it seems the jokes gown too far, but I can't seem to take it with the constant battering of Suho and some of the other members. ewe;

Just venting and ranting here. Not trying to offend anyone, nor hate on EXO.

I love how you don't see EXO for just their looks and talents. Personality's an important thing too and frankly stated, I have seen moments in which certain members are really overbearing. God forbid anyone points it out otherwise they'll be mauled by EXOtics, "Nobody's perfect," "Everyone has flaws," etc (same with any fandom). Then they proceed to praise their biases' perfection and gloriousness and all that snazzy b u l l s h i t. I can't see why it's so hard to acknowledge flaws and face them head on. Those excuses shouldn't be used to back up people being complete asshats or brats (not particularly targeting anyone, just saying in general). Nobody's forcing you to get into EXO either, so if you really can't, unless you personally want to (in which I believe you would've by now if so), then go ahead. If you ask me, EXO's overrated for looks. But that's an unpopular opinion and I don't expect people to agree with me, nor am I forcing them. And if people decide to call me out on it, then let them. I really don't care as much as others would OTL.

Keep posting whatever you want (as long as it doesn't become full-on hate, in which I trust you and know you enough to realize you wouldn't) regardless of whether or not people agree -- it's not mandatory for them to agree nor is it mandatory for them to read your posts.

Some of the EXO members can take things a little too far sometimes, and it gets pretty annoying, which is why I have to take breaks from certain members every now and then. Not to mention, EXO, like most other k-pop groups, can be quite problematic. Wait, let me correct myself, some members in EXO can be problematic, usually the same members who take the jokes too far. I don't know if it's because I've been into k-pop for so long, or I'm just starting to notice these things now, but you would think that SM gives some type of sensitivity class or even right&wrong class to their idols so they won't ruin their image. But apparently they don't.

Regardless, I can understand why and how you could find reasons to keep them from being a top group in your opinion.

+ keep up your rants, I find them fun to read.

Bb i know you're not trying to offend anyone but honestly these types of blogs are starting to bother me. I know you just wanna share stuff with people, and you're not doing any of this maliciously, but its quite insulting when you start talking about people's biases like this. You cant claim to know them after just watching a few episodes of a tv show, and neither can anyone else. The point is that people will choose who they like based on their own preferences. We know they're not perfect but personally I'm very glad they're not. Who cares if they have a few flaws? They have their reasons and they 've lived a life no one else has. I'm not telling you to like exo, just please stop publicising the fact that certain members piss you off or whatever. Its pretty disrespectful and a waste of time :/ why not make a blog about the members you do like and why, instead of focussing on the negatives and mentioning all your pet hates.
