This is so random but I have no other pages where I can support this great great event!
As a lot of you people might now I am a huge huge fan of BJDs, waiting for my first boy to come home.
And being on deviantArt basically 24/7 I heard of this event by chance: #ProBJDArtists!
In the hobby of BJDs, just like everywhere else, there exists one BIG PROBLEM: Recasts.
Recasts are basically (almost) exact copies of existing official sculpts that the recast-creator sells for a way cheaper price then the actual doll is.
THEY COPY SOMETHING SOMEONE ELSE CREATED!
Every person who is an artist in any way, may he be a writer, musician or a BJD sculptor/designer, knows how much it to see that someone else COPIED your stuff and sells it FOR CHEAPER! You as the official creator do not get people to buy YOUR OFFICIAL PRODUCT anymore. And that all because someone COPIED your stuff?
This is not just a problem in the BJD hobby but we from the BJD community made this our day today!
We support the BJDArtists!
We are against Recasts!
And if you like BJDs or not, we would really really be happy if you help us spread the word!
