Zelo now lives on his own after moving out of his mother's house. He'd been bullied by a family member that had been living with them at the time. To escape her Zelo moved out. Zelo is more introverted due to the bullying. He does internalize things which makes it hard for him to express himself emotionally. However when he doms he becomes a different person.
