Junhoe knew he wanted to be an idol ever since he was 5 years old. He was essentially a child prodigy at his age. He began to write songs and compose music at the age of 7. During that time period as well, Junhoe started to attend a dance academy and began to take vocal lessons. His parents knew of his dream and supported him well.
He joined JYP Entertainment when he was 15 years old. Though he later was kicked out of the company for not passing a surprise monthly assesment. He was also told by the CEO, himself, that his vocals were not that well controlled. CEO Anh, of Crown Royal Entertainment was at the monthly assesment, and greatly disagreed with the statement made by CEO JYP. He recruited Junhoe and promised to debut him. It has been four years ( and counting) since he's been in the company.
