Growing up, Junmyeon was a very sweet young boy who was more interested in little superman and wolverine figurines than he was in girls. Of course, to his parents, that was normal for a young boy. When he was around 12 years old was when he first had feelings for a boy. It was on a boy who was a year older than him and was extremely nice. When he asked his mom what it meant, well, she wasn't all that surprised. She had noticed that he wouldn't pay attention to girls and that he would alwaus hug other boys, and in all honesty, she and her husband were more than ready to accept the fact their son was gay. When he was 14, his parents divorced.
During this time, it had gotten out at school that he was gay, and he was constantly being bullied. He stayed with his mom, but he didn't want to worry her. She was already having trouble with paying the bills and he didn't want to worry her even more.
By the end of that school year, he was beyond depressed. He began cutting himself and had severe anxiety. Although he kept up with his grades, and he was always smiling and being nice to everyone, he endured a lot. He left his school when he got a flyer that allowed would allow him to go to Japan. That's where he found his love for music. It's a bit strange because he never had any interest in things like that before. But his friends in Japan would drag him to concerts with him (he was able to work, then) and showed him just how amazing it was. While there, he picked up playing the piano and joined choir.
When he came back to Korea and found out that a new company was recruiting, he told his mother about his new love for music and everything like that. Just like how she accepted his uality, she accepted his love for music.
Junmyeon now goes by Suho. He carries concealer on his to hide the scars on his arms, so that none of the other members see it.
