though he's always considered himself bad at showing affection alfred thinks bruce turned out pretty okay under his guide. that being said, he's not about to let the bat get away with whatever he wants. most of the time it's a challenge just to get the man to eat his meals - to actually take care of himself. when he's not watching over the mansion or bruce, he enjoys spending time in the library. the occasional outing usually results in someone getting hurt because he wasn't watching, which is why the butler rarely leaves the house.
the reason he appears so young these days at age 45 is because he was hit with a deaging ray during a battle with a villain, which reverted his body back into that of a 25 year old.
