About him-

Cary's early years were dramatic and traumatizing, but luckily the boy had been too young to remember. Before having been born, Cary's Dhampir-Father decided to turn to a Strigoi, claiming it would change everything for him and Cary's mother; their relationship was a secret. His original plan had been to turn into a Strigoi, have Cary's mom turn too and then wait for him to be old enough to be turned as well. Blinded by love, his mother hid Cary's father in their little house in Ireland, broke all strings to their parents and friends, lost everybody in the world and let him drink her blood and make her week for two whole years. Until, one day, his aunt came to visit. Worried, she had decided to simply come by, and found herself trapped in a fight with Cary's father. Luckily enough, she was specialized in fire, and the fight wasn't a long one. After his death, Cary's mother disappeared. Nobody knows whether she'd turned into a Strigoi herself, or where she is, and becasue she is an Ivashkov, everybody is searching for her.

Soon after her disappearance, Cary's aunt took him with her to the USA. Being a Dhampir, he wasn't allowed to keep his mother's royal name, but he did enjoy some luxury reserved for Moroi only due to being raised by his Moroi aunt. Even though he had always planned to visit St. Basil's in Russia, for he had a strange obsession with Russia, his aunt got him to enroll to St. Vladimir's, where he started education at the age of 6. He was always amongst the best of his classes, and everybody had big plans for him. That is, until he was 17, and his mother reached out to him for the very first time since her disappearance. He received a letter in which she explained that she had been awakened and was waiting for his graduation to wake him, as well. Driven by his guardian instincts to kill Strigoi, he took off in the middle of the night, planning on killing his mother. His journey took him three months and back to Ireland, his home. He earned a total of six Molnija marks, and a Zvezda because in the end, he had killed too many Strigoi to count. His mother, however, has stayed hidden, and a school's guardian has found him and forced him back. Lucky for him, he was allowed to stay in the Academy, and is now about to start his last semester, eager to continue his hunt after graduation.

Personality-

Cary, having no memory of his traumatizing past, has always been carefree and fun to be around with. His skills and easy-going personality have gifted him with many friends, Moroi and Dhampirs alike. He never missed out a party, and was an excellent team-player. Every time one of his friends got busted with something forbidden, he was there to have his back. He didn't need compulsion, because Cary had a way with people. He had just the right amount of persistence, mixed with courtesy and insight, that always granted he got what he wanted- and away with everything.

Nontheless, Cary takes his job as a guardian very seriously, even though he hasn't graduated yet. Never in his life has he touched a glass of alcohol, had never smoked a cigarette, or taken any other drugs. He's very loyal, which is probably the most important trait for a guardian; and he's promised already. Too bad he will never get his promise mark.

Plots:

Tutor Me (F/M - Moroi - 0/1): You wanted to, but were too weak to pass the test for the self-defense tests. Not all Moroi are suited to fight, and those who don't look like they'd be much of help on the battle field, are sorted out. However, you /want/ to fight. You want to help. And so, after weeks of searching, you've approached Cary and practically begged him to help you. Cary, who really doesn't have time for anything like that, finally, however reluctantly, gave in. Every day, one hour before classes start, you meet at the training court, where Cary teaches you all he knows about combat.

Promised (Eunoia Drozdov): You two know each other since the very first day of school. You were partners ever since, even having a fake wedding in fourth grade, where you promised to always be there for each other. Your relationship is deeper than any other relationship in your lives, you're more than friends, you're family. The closest person he has, the only one he shares everything with. When he left and didn't tell you, it ripped your heart and soul apart. Upon coming back, he had to promise to never leave you again; but you know something's up, and try to get him to talk to you, like he's always done. Will you get him to stay?

From Afar (F - Moroi - 0/1): For years you have been Cary's secret crush. Having a best female friend he wouldn't change for the world made it impossible for him to have a girlfriend, though. It's not like he hadn't tried, but it always ended up with the girlfriend asking him to choose between her and his friend; something he would never do. It's different with you, and it's something that worries him. He could just talk to you, ask you out, he knows; but he is too scared of the consequences. What if you take up too much space in his heart and he'll disappoint his friend? What if he falls so deeply that he can't run away, and, more fatal, will want to be your guard instead of hers? On a party one day, where you've clearly had one drink too much, he escorts you to your room, where you finally get the chance to talk and, despite knowing how wrong it is, he kisses you- and takes off, leaving you behind dumbfounded.

Spy (M - Dhampir - 0/1): A couple of years ago, you changed from a different school to St. Vladimir's, and had a hard time to catch up; until Cary took you under his wings. Ever since then, the two of you have been inseperable. You were the only one he'd told about his 'mission', and he had a hard time getting you to stay behind and not follow. Since he's back, you two have been allowed to share a room, and you've now been assigned to report everything he's doing once a week; which is okay, for he is a model student. And then he tells you about his plan to become unpromised.
