There was nothing too special about Minos childhood. He was born to two loving parents, his mother, an air affinity, was beautiful, inside and out. She was graceful and calm, always wanting to see the best in others. Everything about her was sweet and clean, and she had many suitors chasing after her. But it was a surprise to everyone when she chose a quiet and stoic earth affinity male as her mate, Mino’s father. They were complete opposites. He was big and burly while she was frail and nimble, he was messy and covered in dirt all the time while her favorite thing to do was clean. Neither of their families approved of the choice of mate, and that caused the families to hate each other. But they didn’t care, they were in love. And soon they welcomed a sweet baby boy into the world. The next few years were happy for the small family, that is until the hunters attacked. Mino was only a few years old when they had to uproot everything and flee. In the process of escape, his mother had to make the hardest decision of her life. Save her mate, or her baby son. At Mino’s fathers urging, she took Mino and fled. They left to a distant city that his mother always wanted to visit, moving into a small apartment where they lived in peace. Mino never really asked about his father growing up, the few times he did his mother could hardly say three words before bursting out into tears. So it came to a shock for him when one day he came home to a strange woman sitting inside with his mother. She claimed to be his aunt, his fathers older sister, wanting to be apart of their lives. But that was a lie. She was there the night the hunters attacked, and she witnessed what she thought was Mino’s mother turning her back on her mate and running off. And she hated his mother for that. That night, his aunt killed his mother in cold blood, and if Mino hadn’t gotten up to go to his mother after a bad dream, to hear the last words coming from her lips, he wouldn’t be alive today. He ran, as fast as he could, away from his mom, the apartment, the city. He ran to the only place he knew he could be protected at. And thats how he ended up here.
