LEe Jihoon is a long-term resident at our adoption facility. He has suffered trauma from a young age and requires special care and attention from his owner. He is timid and may take time for you to gain his trust; a result of the abuse he suffered onthe streets. We ask for your patience and hope that you would consider changing this poor misunderstood kitten's life. Requires frequent check-ups at the vet.

After being abandoned by his parents when he was only 5 years old, Jihoon struggled to survive on the cold hard streets alone. He would spend many sleepless nights curled up in a dingy back-alley, seeking warmth from the unforgiving brick walls; ears twitching throughout the night each time water dripped upon them- internally wondering if he would ever find a place to call home.
An easy target. That was how people saw him.
That must have been the reason a couple of thugs chased him down in their van, trying to catch him for the purpose of 'reselling' him to collectors. Unfortunately, accidents happen. Due to a mishap- a little slip of the wheel, Jihoon found himself being knocked over and had his leg run over- his cries of pain attracting attention from regular citizens. The criminals panicked and fled the scene after that incident, leaving him behind to suffer... a classic 'hit and run' by a couple of novice thugs.
Luckily for Jihoon, a kind young man had witnessed the whole thing and took sympathy in him. "It'll be okay." They assured him in a soothing voice as they picked him up and took him to the nearest hospital- and despite Jihoon's fear and pain, he found himself slowly dozing off in the man's arms. When he had woken up, things were... different. The good news? They were able to save his leg and restore it to it's normal appearance. The bad news? The nerves had been severely damaged and his leg would never fully operate the same way again.
With a limp, Jihoon exited the building after the receptionist told him the bills were already paid, intending to thank the stranger who practically saved his life... but the young man was long gone. Instead of the young man waiting for him outside, there was an adoption agency standing patiently outside the door. Without a single word, they scooped him up and he was taken to a place with other people like him- other felines.
The only difference between him and them? He was labeled as 'rescued' and required 'special care'- automatically appearing undesirable by the general public. Ears flattened to his head, feeling more alienated than ever before, Jihoon curled up in his bed and watched... one by one... as people were adopted; once again leaving him behind.
