irene was raised in a wealthy family, but she left all of that because none of her relatives approved her of her dream to become a baker. she grew up having a sweet tooth and has ever since set her mind to become the best baker. in irene's point of view, cakes and breads are enjoyable, especially when she makes them herself —a sense of accomplishment makes her feel calming and proud. 

using her savings after graduating high school, she flew to france and was determined to prove her parents that her dream was realistic and that it was not low-class. in france, she met a masterchef who was well known for her bakings. through numerous obtsacles, irene became that masterchef's student and gradually learnt many skills from him. 

irene's flight back to her home country wasn't like what she has dreamt of. her parents still didn't want to accept her dream and have made it clear that she was not to step into their house unless she accepts to take over their family business. 

but luck was still on irene's side. coincidentally, her teacher was opening a baking class in her home country and have asked for irene, by then his most favoured student, to be the instructor. irene happily took the offer and began a life of her own even though her heart felt empty every day without her family's support. 

her life has been like that since then. her daily routine isn't that interesting. she wakes up early in the morning, get ready for work, do some baking and go to meetings to expand her own business. after a year of working for her teacher, irene opened a dessert cafe, named "attraction". she wishes that people could find happiness through her recipes and if they're feeling sad, perhaps the positive decorations on her cakes could make them feel better, just like how it made her feel better while baking the cakes.
