OOC CORNER

  • Loves roleplaying in para. However, semiparas would help me to reply much faster.
  • I don't really like oneliners, sorry.
  • My timezone? GMT+7.
  • If you ask me for rp I expect you to start (or else it will take forever, haha). Unless you give me (or we make up) a plot so I have something to work on.. I don't mind starting for you. But still, it's better if you start, since you ask for rp in the first place.
  • If I start, --and I'm in the mood for it-- you'll get tons of paragraphs from me. If you start, my replies will be more likely as long as yours.
  • I only roleplay in rooms. They're there for a reason.
  • Prefers angsty and action plots. and drama are welcomed too.
  • When I don't reply, push those negative thoughts away! I might have forgotten or your post buried. Feel free to remind me.
  • I can't believe I have to state this, but please don't judge me from how my character acts. My Daehyun here is a bit cold, sarcastic and silent--but trust me I'm completely the opposite OuO.

— mutant ability; Enhanced Combat/Combat Proficiency
According to his teacher/trainer's personal view, Daehyun had the potential to be one of the greatest martial artists ever. The young man quickly memorized movements in his trainings, and seemingly fast in adapting to battles/situations--resulting to him winning almost all matches he had been participating in. Regardless the fact that he had no martial art background at all, his performance exceptionally exceeded the teacher's expectation. However, people (including Daehyun himself) believed it was either luck, hardworking effect, getting-motivated effect, or just simply ..he's gifted.

Without his own recognition, Daehyun possesses superhuman levelled hand-to-hand fighting abilities. He excels in various forms of combat and is able to become unbelievably skilled in most forms of fighting. With the ability, he was supposed to be able to be exceptionally proficient in all variety of martial arts--however, since he doesn't even know this potential of his, he stopped only on taekwondo.
The power grants him the ability to adapt and learn any combat technique faster than regular human, and become advanced with their own individual methods of close quarter combat.

The limitation was actually himself, never knowing his own potential which resulting to him getting stuck at only one level of ability.
This ability doesn't come with advanced durability, stamina or regeneration, therefore he is still highly vulnerable to physical attacks and injuries. His time of physical recovery was just as much as everybody else, same goes with his amount of stamina.
Enhanced Combat stays short-ranged, and will grant him disadvantage for long ranged kind of battle.
It is difficult to recognize this as a superhuman ability, since most people believe that hardworking or smart martial artist may show awesome performance too. This is apparently why Daehyun himself, never knew the truth.
The inconvenient truth.

— sub ability:
*Enhanced Reflexes

User has drastically enhanced reaction speed, allowing them to dodge bullets, dodge and maneuver around complex attacks, catch falling objects, block detriments and react instantaneously to what others take more time to react to. source: powerlisting.wikia

— past;

How it all begun...
Being constantly bullied back there in highschool had shaped Daehyun into an introverted, silent heck of a guy who tends to avoid social interractions, not that he couldn't, he just preferred to be alone with himself, getting lost into his own world. No one ever cared nor dared to get into his world except one girl, his classmate. He could remember himself almost crying in despair but she was always there for him, took care of his wounds and comforted him with her soothing words. It didn't take long until the young male's heart fell for her. But he never managed to tell her how he felt.

However, everything changed the day his father passed away. Daehyun's hands were holding the soft, pale hand of the old man. "Be strong," were the very last words he ever said before heaving out his last breath.
The words somehow gave him the power, that one day he gathered the urge he had and beaten those guys who had bullied him in the past. He could almost remember the colors of the blood and bruishes, his own clenching fists and those sweaty guys running away. It was nearly unbelievable, the silent weak boy Jung Daehyun could ever do so. Unbelievable, even to himself. The boy strongly believed this is only because of his father.
No one ever messed with the young boy Jung Daehyun ever since.
He had gotten what he knew he was supposed to get.

As well as his very first love, because of the confidence he finally had, he managed to tell her how he felt and it was fortunate for him that she felt the same way. The two soon got together, and everything seemed so perfect.. until the day they broke up. Her parents were moving to the west and she had to separate ways with him.
That was one of the greatest heartbreak in his life ever.

Meanwhile, still affected by his father's words, Daehyun enhanced himself with Taekwondo and he got along well with the saseongnim (the teacher). The saseongnim was secretly amazed by the boy, who had never trained any kind of martial arts before, yet exceeded anyone of his level. The young boy memorized all the movements faster than anyone else, and always managed to perform it (exceptionally) perfectly. Even though the saseongnim never spoke it out, he recognized that Jung Daehyun, the new boy.. was the greatest student he had ever have.

Daehyun and the saseongnim shared stories about themselves, and that moment he found that the saseongnim was a cop before--but for some reasons Daehyun wasn't aware of-- he retired. and to be exact he felt so comfortable with the elder, as well as how the elder felt about him. In fact, the saseongnim saw him as his own son.
After being introduced to police lifes and works, Daehyun found his interest towards guns and firearms. He later began exploring and studying it through books and articles on the internet, and when the saseongnim eventually noticed this, he did all he could to help the young male to approach his own interest. He happily shared the experiences of having the first gun, how to use it well, supported the younger to get more literatures and everything until Daehyun even managed to get his scholarship to study ballistics (area of forensic science which studies about firearms) in Canada.
There, it was out of his expectation that he met her again, his very first love and heartbreak. She was having her study about forensics and law, and she told him how she wanted to be a lawyer. Knowing that they both are studying slightly similar theme and now met again after a long time, the two saw it as fate. The two got together again. It was the happiest moment in his life.
Due to Daehyun's great interest in the objects he was studying of, along with his spirit and commitment, the young male suceeded to graduate pretty quickly. He received his admission soon and even got notified that the Seoul Police Department would gladly accept him once he returns to South Korea. To celebrate his own great achievement, the young male proposed to his love and soon they were married in his hometown, Busan.
However, the saseongnim whom he saw as his own father, never attended the wedding.

Later, one day he visited the saseongnim, to thank him for helping the younger cop much, as well as to question him why didn't attend the most important moment of his life. Yet instead of seeing the happy face of the saseongnim greeting him, he saw the roughly forced-open house door. Somehow feeling anxious, with his heart beating fast he went inside and found the saseongnim, dying.
He could only remember the great teacher slipping a handgun into the younger's hands, receiving confused gaze from him. "Take care, my son." were the last thing Daehyun heard from the older before he let his last breath out. De ja vu, once again the person he cared about the most departed before his own eyes.
As time went on, he still couldn't let go of the mistery of why the saseongnim died, so he did whatever he could to find out. Later he found that a certain group of mutants was behind it. It was out of his expectation when he found all the data about the teacher, his biological son was a young firearm specialist just like Daehyun was. He was highly interested in guns and stuffs, and was also a member of the police department. The young son died when the cops were encountering mutants. That's why the saseongnim left his duty as a cop, not wanting to abuse himself by the memory of his deceased, beloved son. It seemed the mutants somehow had unfinished business with the saseongnim, and that's why they barged in and killed him.

Time passed by, turned out that his wife was barren, and she couldn't give him a child. It was quite depressing for the couple--especially for her, but for Daehyun so loved her he never intended to leave her. Despite the grief they were feeling for her condition, their relationship was only getting stronger each day.
But this time of the greatest despair in his life came. It was the time when he got home after doing few days of a certain police mission. His house was terribly messy, and he knew something was wrong at the moment. He rushed straight into his bedroom, and found his wife. No more cheery smile on her face, no more excited squeal that he always receives whenever he comes home. He could only find her wornout, expressionless face. Silent, , and lifeless. She's dead.
He could remember a loud cry all of a sudden beaming in the atmosphere, and it took a while until he realized that it was himself. Crying in deep mourn and despair at his love's tragic death.
It turned out that his wife was and murdered by an unknown mutant, a member of the exact same mutant's group who had killed his saseongnim. His wife was a lawyer, and she was one of those who had supported the petition for mutant cure and seemed like, this certain mutant group is against it.
Murder cases filled the police department soon after. It turned out that all of those who had been involved in the petition was murdered, one by one, in different, tragic ways.

Hatred clawed deep in the young male's heart. Hatred towards mutants, all of the mutants on earth. All he saw with the eyes were the cruelty of mutants, and that led him into believing that all mutants are just the same.
He had declared himself as an antimutant.
All he wished for, was to kill them one, after another.

Little did he knew,
..that himself was a part of the race he hated.

..

That mutant group, was later known as the Brotherhood.
