@ Hunger Games

Birth name: Lee Jongsuk
Birth date: 14 September 1996
Age: 18
District: 12

Weapon of choice: Throwing daggers (or any other long range weapons, though he's better at throwing daggers and a bow and arrows)

Strengths:
Since life in District 12 means necessities are scarce and food even more so, Jongsuk has had to scavenge most of what his family owns. Therefore, he's very good at making things out of scrap materials, such as weapons and common items (bowls, forks, etc). He's relatively well-versed in both medicine and plants, since he works in his family's pharmacy. He's also sneaked out several times to practice in the woods, where he threw stone daggers he made at specific spots on trees and trained his agility. Therefore, he's relatively quick on his feet. His hunger and thirst endurance is also slightly better than others, due to him having very little to eat and drink in District 12.

Weaknesses:
As he never had enough to eat in a District 12, Jongsuk is thinner and weaker than most tributes. He also doesn't have as much stamina, and is unable to comfortably wield large, heavy weapons such as axes or tridents. He can manage a sword, but not for very long. He also can't stand hurting people he's grown attached to, even if they're just friends, which makes it hard for him to kill others in the arena. This is also why he would never betray his allies, unless someone really dear to him is at stake. He also falls in love easily, which makes his attachment weakness worse. His older brother says he cares about other people too much, which is evident in how he'd risk himself for his friends, or even his allies. He also hates to assume the worst about others, which means he can be tricked quite easily.

Trivia: Jongsuk tends to eat very little, even when he has enough food to eat. It's become a habit of sorts, especially after years of starving and surviving on meagre scraps of food. He's also a light sleeper, and is woken easily by movement or noise. This allows him to react quickly to disturbances during his sleep, but it's also somewhat of a disadvantage as he might not get enough sleep and would get tired during the day. For some reason, Jongsuk's body temperature drops easily, especially when he sleeps, which means he needs to keep warm or risk hypothermia. Therefore, it's especially dangerous for him if he falls unconscious, as he won't be able to keep himself warm.

Personality: Jongsuk, having been bullied back in District 12, is quite introverted, especially when meeting new people, and he might seem unfriendly at first due to his quiet nature. However, once you become friends with him, he'll open up more, and might even talk more. He also tends to wear his heart on his sleeve, meaning his emotions can be read quite easily just by looking at his face. He tries to hide his true feelings most of the time as a sort of defence mechanism, but his facade slips easily, especially if he's close with you. He's also very protective of the people he loves, and will do almost anything for them.

Background: When Jongsuk was 7, his father was mistakenly shot and killed by Peacemakers, leaving him with his sickly mother and older brother. Their main source of income was their family's pharmacy, though Jongsuk's older brother also worked in the coal mines from time to time. Most of the time, however, his older brother worked in the pharmacy, while Jongsuk did menial jobs such as cleaning the pharmacy and arranging the bottles of medicine. Occasionally, though, his older brother taught him different plant uses, how to prepare different medicines, and first-aid techniques. Even though their parents favoured his older brother, Jongsuk still loved him a lot.

But his older brother was chosen to be a Tribute, and Jongsuk knew their family relied solely on him to earn money and to survive. Jongsuk wasn't as clever, wasn't as strong, wasn't as capable as his older brother. Or at least, that's what he believed, and so, he volunteered to take his brother's place, leaving District 12 without so much as a goodbye.

However, what he hasn't told anyone is that he not only volunteered to save his brother, but also to escape District 12 and his first love, Jihyuk. He'd been madly in love with him, even though they'd met as more of friends with benefits than actual lovers. To Jihyuk, Jongsuk was nothing more than a convenience, someone to let out his ual frustrations on. It all ended on the day he confessed to Jihyuk — he exposed him, telling everyone that Jongsuk was gay and that he had seduced him. Jihyuk was popular, there was no doubt about it, and everyone took his side. At only 14 years old, the bullying started, people catching him in every corner and beating the lights out of him. He'd return home early every day, hurrying to cover up before his brother got home, but he wasn't stupid, and he found out about Jongsuk's bullying. However, as much as he tried to protect him, he couldn't do it 24/7, and the beatings continued. But Jongsuk bore with it, until Jihyuk came back.

He'd lured Jongsuk in again with sugary-sweet words and false pretences, only to use his body yet again. While he'd been more careful in prepping Jongsuk the previous times they'd been together, this time he didn't care, and by the end of it, Jongsuk was left battered, tears streaking his face. Jihyuk left without saying anything, and Jongsuk wanted so much to claw at his skin, to eliminate every trace of Jihyuk's touch. But he was too tired to do anything but shiver into the blankets, and he soon fell into a dreamless sleep, with only the reassurance that he'd volunteer in a week's time and leave his life in District 12 forever.

But...why did his heart hurt at the thought of leaving Jihyuk?
