ᴡᴇᴀᴘᴏɴ ᴄʜᴏɪᴄᴇ: A medium-sized, medium-weight metal club, preferably one that fits snuggly in his palm is Kikwang’s weapon of choice. Though it may seem primitive, Kikwang had wielded clubs many times while training with his father in their small dinky basement. Using brute strength and force, the metal club is a simple but strong weapon with minimal amounts of blood suited to Kikwang’s tastes. If a club isn’t available, he is also familiar with similar blunt weapons such as the mace or war hammer. He doesn’t prefer sharp or ranged weapons, but is capable of using knifes and daggers.

sᴛʀᴇɴɢᴛʜs/ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇssᴇs: Kikwang is naturally strong and very agile. Training combat with his father for several years also greatly improved his skills. Though he doesn’t prefer violence or killing, he is very capable of defending himself or his allies. Kikwang also excels in escaping and dodging in tight situations due to his agility. Apart from these skills, Kikwang’s strongest and weakest aspect is his friendly, kind and innocent nature. He isn’t a heavy supporter of killing or blood, which may make him poorly suited for the Hunger Games. Because he lived in the District of Power, a location filled with factories and urban environments, he is not very accustomed to natural environments. His main strategy in the Games is befriending allies and working together to try and win. However, he is very easily tricked because of the trust and loyalty he gives to his allies. Although he’s told himself many times that no one can be trusted, Kikwang can’t fight against his fixed nature.

ʙᴀᴄᴋɢʀᴏᴜɴᴅ: Back in District 5, Kikwang worked at various types of power plants for most of his life. The working conditions and pay was not spectacular, but it was still sufficient for him to get around. His family was on the poorer side of District 5, but they still had enough to send Kikwang and his younger brother to school. Kikwang had attended school until the age of 16. He quit in order earn a higher income to help support his younger brother when he fell ill. At school, he had many friends and was a very hard-working, successful student. When he was just 12, his strict and forceful father was determined to make him experienced and skilled with fighting due to his disappointment with Kikwang’s innocent, “weak” personality. Kikwang was rebellious about the training at first, as it was rather forced upon him and his mother was completely unaware. But after all, he had little to no choice in this matter, and for years he practiced using his fists and wooden clubs against his father. The training did manage to come in handy during a few encounters on the streets where he Kikwang was able to defend himself. When he was chosen for the Hunger Games, he silently thanked his father, who had passed away in a factory accident by the time he was 19.

ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ: Kikwang is known to be friendly and innocent. He is always accepting of new allies and friends. However, it results in rather oblivious behaviour to most things, including his own strength, which makes him a target of many. Easily tricked, the phrase “innocent sheep” coincides with his personality. Kikwang trusts people regularly, too much for his own good. He knows how to defend himself, but doesn’t prefer to kill people. If the chance comes and he sees you as a clear enemy, he will swing his metal club to kill. Though the Games will make him tougher and change his trusting personality, he will always be friendly and accepting. [@ Hunger Games]
