Description
Name: Summer Clarke
FC: Choi Sooyoung
Age: Nineteen
Race: Greek
Parentage: Aphrodite
Status: Smexy and Available (winks♥)
Orientation: Heteroual

Background:
Summer’s dad is devoted to his wife. People would think that it is a good thing because it practically describes a picture-perfect definition of romance. In Summer’s perspective though, it’s not. Her life as a child was miserable. Her stepmother hated her, her dad never wanted her, even their house dog didn’t show any acceptance to the poor girl. Despite how much her young mind could handle, she was treated by her ’family’ as a nuisance and as hard at it seemed, she accepted the fact that she was a child of her father from another woman. That woman, of course, was Aphrodite. She did not know that until she reached the point of being shouted by her dad spurting out his disdainful experience with a selfish woman. That Summer’s biological mom seduced him, all because she was attracted to him and wanted to take him to bed. She eventually bore Summer, and left her to her dad and his wife without a word. Painful truth, I know, but Summer managed to accept it. Her life was an absurd nightmare, yet she decided to accept the truth and continue to love her mortal family, withstanding the pain that seared through her heart. All her life, all she did was to love them sincerely, yet all she brought was shame to them, until they decided to send her away to a boarding school in Pennsylvania when she was twelve. They’d say that it was for the better, but Summer knew it was all a lie just to get rid of her. Still, she obliged.
Her life in boarding school was almost perfect though. She instantly gained a bunch of friends, and she actually felt the burning sensation of being accepted for once—and that was when her true colours showed up. Summer was known as one of the cool kids without much effort. Aside from being undeniably pretty and nice, she also developed that slight pang of being a troublemaker. She joked around with her friends, messed with guys, broke the rules and all, but it all came down to an end when she started to see weird, distorted creatures boring their hateful eyes at her. She knew they were monsters. At first, Summer tried to avoid them at all cost by pretending not to see them, but as time passed by, the situation grew worse. They started coming for her. They tried hurting her. She even saw them in her dreams with threatening words and horrid intentions. But what actually sent the terror rushing through her veins was when she actually witnessed one of her friends transforming into a ghastly creature with fangs and half the body of a snake and blood red eyes that stared at hers with thirst—oh, did she make a run for it.
Though when all hope seemed to be lost, some scrawny guy came and snatched her out of the way and brought out his reed pipes. For a moment, her friend—the hideous monster she didn’t know had ever existed in this world—was dazed, and in a blink of an eye, the flute guy grabbed her arm and dragged her away from the boarding school. Summer was almost as dazed as the creature, but the guy told her that she’d be safe.

And that safety is Camp Half-Blood.

Personality:
Like her name, Summer Clarke radiates a very carefree personality. Regardless of the things that happened to her before, she eventually tried to escape the shadows of her past and started her life anew in camp. The once dejected and invisible little Summer becomes the mischievous yet kind and free-spirited Summer that everyone loves. She prefers having a blast with people rather than getting stuck at a corner to mourn over ridiculous things. But once she does, then something must have gone horribly wrong that veered her mood towards the wrong direction. Yes, it might have naturally been a Hermes or Apollo kind of thing to be all happy-go-lucky and such, but Summer can surely prove herself as a rightful daughter of the goddess of love. She tends to make fun of the male campers by casting them love spells with the other females (and mind you, there are several times when her so called ’matchmaking magic’ would end up surprisingly well). There are also times when she finds herself personally interested with a guy herself, which therefore turns Summer a million times as breath-taking and awfully inspired as before—no wonder boys couldn’t help themselves in carelessly tripping into her frisky little trap. But apparently, she is definitely not one of those flirtatious female chickenheads that would give their all to whomever her eye desires—no. Summer might be all wild and loose and throwing herself into insignificant flings depending her mood, but never will you find her attempting to hit below the belt and even dare to waste herself. Despite being a descendant of Aphrodite, believe it or not, she has never experienced true love at all. And if she does, she swore an oath to the River Styx that only will she unleash her all to the guys who deserves it.

Abilities:
ADHD – Like all the demigods out there, Summer is naturally uncomfortable with being restrained. She possesses battle reflexes that boost her up during her encounters with horrid creatures that hunted her down during her stay at the mortal world.
Dyslexia – Another thing is her inability to read words clearly. Summer isn’t blind or anything, but her Dyslexia is obviously a proof that her brain is hardwired with the Greek’s ancient language—considering  her mother is one of the oldest gods and goddesses that ever existed.
Amokinesis – Summer has the ability to control love at her will. She usually casts her mild love magic to the  ’secretly attracted to each other and wouldn’t admit it’ kind of people. And her generosity in sharing love to others pretty much earned her title as the ’Ms. Match Maker’ in camp. Summoning true love, however, is something that she could not master yet. It takes a lot of energy and incentive in doing so, and lacking the experience of true love did not help at all.
Change of Appearance – As a daughter of the goddess of love and beauty, being blessed with good looks is naturally a gift from her mother. In Summer’s case, Aphrodite might have shared a little too much of her genes. Unfortunately, Summer gained the ability to partly change her appearance. Usually, her hair and eye colours would change every now and then, but trying to carve her face with a different set of features is a big no-no (her fear of not being recognized definitely set her powerful ability to a limit). At the brighter side of things, this ability served as a great help whenever she had a guy in mind. Summer would find a perfect look that would match her target’s taste, and then the next thing you know, poof! They’ll start dating.
Archery – Summer isn’t born with the ability of shooting arrows flawlessly, but she eventually gained interest in that particular field. With pure will and determination, she strived hard to master archery for several years in camp.
Charmspeak – Along with her ability to deceive people with her looks, Summer comes to a conclusion that she can also deceive them through words. Though after realizing that charmspeak can be a powerful weapon, she swore to herself that she wouldn’t let the power of words overpower her unless it is highly needed.

Weapon:
douleur (meaning 'pain' in French) –A Magical Bow and Arrow
It was given by her mother on her sixteenth birthday, where Aphrodite visited her in her dreams and handed her a silver charm bracelet with a pendant of a heart shot by an arrow. The next morning, Summer woke up with the accessory underneath her pillow. Its original form is a celestial bronze bow and arrow with silver and red carvings of hearts, doves, and sceneries of people in love. This weapon, however, isn’t exactly the usual bow and arrow that demigods would use for battle. The arrows are enchanted with the magic of temporary turning its target into a state of daze and falls in love with the first person he sees. But after they snap back into reality, they will feel the pain of the shot burning into their hearts—like a real heartache—though it doesn’t inflict major damage that they would lose their life.

Trivia:
• Summer is one of the year-round senior campers in present time. She is brought to camp by a satyr when she was thirteen, which sums up six years of her life.
• Having the ability of gaining various appearances, Summer has never showed anyone her natural look—her true self. She showed up at camp with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair and jet black tainted eyes, and that’s what the campers thought her real self looked like.
• She has never experienced what true love felt like. And if she does, she swore to the River Styx that she would show her true self and love him for eternity.
• She tends to be the overly judgmental neat freak whenever she would be instructed by Kristina to check the camp’s cabins when she’s not available. Summer would always give the Hermes cabin a failing grade.
• Summer has a big appetite. One time, she forgot to burn offerings for her mom, and the next day, her mom ransacked her bunk with out of the line hobo clothes.
• Once she received her mom’s gift—her magical bow and arrow—on her sixteenth birthday, Summer accidentally hit Argus in the eye and he ended up not leaving the infirmary for two weeks because of the severe heartache.
• Summer has that hidden phobia of being neglected.
