Background
Im Yoona's soft. Weak. Ineffectual. She acknowledges that as a fact. It stems from her loving and soft family, a background she commonly looks back upon with the fondest of thoughts. There's only one incident that mars the perfection that is her childhood. Nothing too big, just the brutal murders of nearly her entire family.

She once had a brother whom she adored with all her heart. One who glowered at the boys who overzealously sought her attentions, intimidated the bullies who saw her as weak, and protected her with all that he had. He wasn't actually her brother- just her half-brother- but she was loathe to think of him as anything but her brother through and through. He played with her, befriended her, took care of her, and he was her hero, her idol, her number one. She was eight when he was twelve, and that was when everything changed. Suddenly, he had become jumpy around their family. He lashed out at them, at her. His protection slowly withered into nothing, and her mother drew her closer to her and farther from Hyesung.

He snapped one day, when he was fifteen and she was eleven. Beserk, he stormed through the whole house, attacking and fatally wounding any he came upon. Her mother dragged her to an upstairs closet and hid there, watching from a crack as her beloved brother tore through their family. He was taken away to a mental facility, but she was too busy sobbing into her mother's embrace to notice. They were the two sole survivors of the horrific familicide that took place. They moved away and she lived with her doting mother and step-father for a long while, each of them doing their best to negate the negative effects left by the unexpected deaths of her father and siblings. She grew up kind and temperate under her mother's tutelage, but remains terrified to make big decisions, fearful that everything she has grown to love will be torn away from her, just like her family.

So when people say that she's only Student Council Leader because she's the daughter of the headmaster- they're wrong. He's only her step-father. Her father was murdered.

Personality
Yoona's soft-spoken and kind to a fault, but sweet and fair to all those that come across her. Gentle, easily guilt-tripped and innocent, she makes an ineffectual leader at best and a disaster-bound one at worst. Having her family torn from her at a young age has left her insecure, dependent and terrified of abandonment, leaving her inable to make large decisions, afraid of having everything ripped from her. Despite her 24 years, she still has a certain type of idealism, naïveté, about her that makes her seek out the best in everyone.

Rather timid, and generally lacking in confidence, Yoona doesn't make for a terribly difficult opponent, never quite wanting to be on the offensive, even when provoked. Despite her inherent skill and immense talent, she rarely if ever uses her powers to attack others. She's most dangerous when angry- but luckily for all involved, she's rarely ever angry, opting instead to be guilty or miserable. However, the select few who have seen her at her full potential warn the rest to never overstep her boundaries.

Anyway, my timezone is GMT-7/GMT-8, depending on daylight savings or something. I can never really get them straight. What is more clear to me is that I operate on Pacific Standard Time (PST) as a Californian. ( All of you other lurking Californians hmu because there's always automatic bonds between Californians. ) Since it's summer, my replies will come at a decent enough rate, but please keep in mind that I will be busy, be it with courses, friends, volunteering, etc. I'm a slow replier on a regular basis, and I take about 10-20 years to construct one reply.
I'm a semi-para to approximately novella ( but that's very rare and usually never happens ) and I'm usually most comfortably with either semi or para. However, I am a mirror, so I will generally give back as much as you give me.
If you're going to rp with me, please either have a plot ready, or at least plan to create a plot with me. I'm picky about what I write and how I write it, so I prefer plots over just straight out winging it. If we have an established dynamic, I won't mind winging it at all. However, for those who are intent on asking me to rp without a platform to start off of at the very least will either be rebuffed or have to be satisfied with very short replies.
