BACKGROUND
To show emotion is to show weakness. Every Choi is taught that, and Jinri is no different. She learned from an early age to never show emotion, be it happiness, sadness, or anger. To fail this would be to disappoint her family, so she made certain to carefully hide her emotions. But one could repress their emotions for only so long, even if they were trained as a child to master that.
They say the teenaged years are tumultuous years, and it holds true for Jinri. Sick and tired of the "prove yourself and make your family proud" mantra her parents always chanted at her, she decided to do something drastic, something that would make them stop going off about family pride and reputation. Making sure her older brother, the only person she trusted in and actually loved, was not at home, Jinri decided to play with fire. She got burned herself, but she managed to make it out before the entire house was engulfed in flames, her parents still inside. To this day, no one other than Jinri knows what happened, and the incident was filed as an unfortunate accident.
PERSONALITY
Though generally fairly pleasant to be around, Jinri trusts basically no one, so you're lucky if you get on her good side. She won't hesitate to jump into danger and risk her life for a close friend. But her impulsiveness is also her tragic flaw. Anger is the emotion she falls prey to easily, and she'll almost always act upon it, throwing away all common sense and channeling all her anger into physically hurting the person causing the emotion.
