Shusaku, normally going by the name Sakupan, looks as if nothing bad has ever happened in his life. He lives with a rich family, goes to a nice school, doesn't get in trouble, yet underneath it all you wouldn't believe what he's actually been through. His real parents were murdered when he was only 7 years old right in front of him. He was taken to an orphanage as none of his relatives wanted to take him in. As an only child, it was hard to make friends since he wasn't very good at interacting with people. Then a strange but brutal incident happened when he was around the age of 12. A group of men, probably from a gang, burned down the orphanage after stealing the children they wanted. Shusaku was one of them. For 2 1/2 years he was used as a slave by these men before the police caught them and he was admitted into a hospital for trauma and other problems. There he met Yusuke, a sickly boy who quickly turned into his best friend and the only one he was comfortable around after his gruesome ordeal. Each day he could see the other boy getting weaker, until one day he was suddenly gone. Instead of asking he believed the other boy was dead and never came back. Later, once his therapy was over and he could be around people, he was adopted and now goes here.
