The spunky and yet sweet meister known only by the name 'Nyx' comes from a rather strange but nurturing background. Her mother was a humble school teacher and her father was one of the best and most feared meisters in DWMA history.
It is said that he was fierce and had a temper like an inferno, a trait which his daughter had inherited along with the skill to wield weapons, until he met Nyx's mother. According to family legend he was sent to save the school from a kishin and fell in love with her on sight and he was never the same again. For Nyx, that is easy to believe. Unlike the stories of him at the DWMA his behavior at home is that of a love-sick puppy, constantly doting upon his queen and his little princess. From the warrior he became a poet, a bad one if you ask Nyx, Even her full name is an awkward reminder of how romantic he views the world and she kinda hates it so she never utters it to anyone.Never ask her about it or you might regret even the thought.
Her mother, on the other hand, truly is a picture of grace and temperance. Gifted with great beauty and humility to match she is truly an enigma. She could have been a model, possibly even an actress and yet she chose the path of a scholar who then wanted to share knowledge with the young. Her mother is a woman of deep thought and compassion with a quiet bravery to go along with it.The woman set a standard for what it was to be a lady around the house and Nyx does her best to live by that example...when she isn't channeling her father's goofy excitement or rage.
All in all she is a good mix of both of their personalities with a warm heart. She strives to be the absolute best that she can to make not only a name for herself but to live up to what her parents want her to be. To her, all of the fame and power in the world is nothing if she doesn't have a family to share it with.
