About him
Valon is a teacher on the academy, though he more got forced into this job. Therefore he isn't really taking it serious, since he does not have any intentions of teaching any stupid students. All he can think of is his revenge and to become finally the weapon of a Shinigami, so he will be able to finally chase after the murderer of his family.
He does not have any other goals or intentions, except this one thing and everyone better stays out of his way in this case. Valon is one of the weapons, which would even consider to eat innocent souls to get stronger and reach his goal. Actually it's really hard to get him as a weapon, since no other soul really fits his own. He is more famous for hurting the ones which tried to become his Meister, since Valon does never hold his own powers back.
People started to fear him and even more to be paired up with him, since he isn't really interested in a partner next to Shinigami.
Strangely there isn't anyhting really known about him, except that his family got murdered by a bunch of witches. Who knows if he ever will reveal more of his life to anyone.

Weapon
Valon usually transforms himself into a rather common weapon, a katana. The blade is black though and depending on his Meister, his length and weight adjusts to the needs and wishes.
More rare is his form as a hidden blade, which he rarely actually takes. Only if his Meister needs to attack like an assasin, sectrely and without showing off right away that he's a Meister, then Valon is able to get into this shape.
