Background
From the exterior, Spencer was just a single-parented college student who couldn't focus in class. "He is the worst student you could have." Was what the teachers would say when you asked them about him. He was diagnosed with dyslexia since young but he didn't know what was the cause of it. Nobody but his mom knew and she wouldn't tell him the reason. She would always tell him "you will know the reason when the time is right." whenever he asked.
Everything changed on his 13th birthday. His dyslexia got worse and monsters were trying to attack him everywhere he went, even at home where he thought it was the safest place on earth. He was forced to drop out of school then for his own safety. He would have been dead once if a satyr didn't came to protect him from the monster when he was in college. That was when he knew about everything, the satyr told him about the monster and why they attacked him. Most importantly, the satyr told him that he was a son of Hermes, god of commerce, thieves, eloquence and streets, messenger of the gods.
